Overall Experience

My husband was in respite care at Leahurst for 10 days in May this yeat. This was his third period of respite care at Leahurst. As previously I felt that Peter was very well cared for. The staff I met were all lovely and the home has a friendly, warm atmosphere. The food looked to be of a very good standard and the staff made sure everyone was looked after, even to the extent of one of them going to make one resident toast at teatime as that was all she fancied. All in all, I was very happy with my husbands care.

My husband was in respite care at Leahyrst for just over 2 weeks in September 2025. I was away during this time but my son visited several times and I visited at the start and end of his stay. We were impressed by how the staff treated the residents, everyone was really friendly and approachable and were genuinely interested in the residents. The home itself was clean, warm, well decorated and the rooms were fine. There was a small settee and TV in my husbands room as well as the usual bed, wardrobe etc. We wouldn't hesitate to use this home again.

We are very happy with the care Dad is receiving. He is thriving in the home and is in a safe environment. There are plenty of activities which he can join in with and family and friends are always welcome.

Been to see my step-mum on a number of occasions, and she's happy. Staff all seem very friendly. Daily activities. She has put weight on as when she first went there; she was very underweight. Feel good after a visit knowing she is happy there.

This is the most hospitable, expensive and caring homes I have ever seen. I've had the pleasure to visit regularly as my father is a client here. The care and quality of staff is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble for them at all. I go home in the evening knowing my father is very well looked after, safe and happy.

Leahyrst care home is the home that my dad chose for my mum when she needed care and he always told me that if he ever needed a home, Leahyrst is where he would want to be. Now, when I go to visit my dad, we talk about all the happy times we shared here with Mum. The staff are so lovely and they keep me informed of everything. I always know that he is safe and protected at Leahyrst with well-trained staff that always go that extra mile for the residents.
