My mother lived at Inwood House from August 2017 until her death recently in November 2023. She entered with mild dementia and moderate care needs, but over the years, both the dementia and her physical and medical needs increased significantly.
The staff at Inwood House were absolutely superb in the levels of care, compassion and love that they showed to my mother throughout her entire period with them. As her care needs increased, and her ability to communicate suffered, they continued to treat her like a person and part of the 'Inwood family'. The account was taken at all times for her frailty and the necessary changes in her diet due to problems with swallowing.

During the last few weeks, when she was bedbound and had difficulty even drinking, she received near-constant care and attention. I could not have asked for a better environment for Mum to live with her dementia and, ultimately, to pass away.

The care home is in need of decorating and repair in some areas.
The smell on some days makes your eyes water and is unacceptable in this day and age.

On the whole, staff are good and caring but basic hygiene sometimes lacking. Staff seen eating residents' meals from food trolley. Buzzers not answered in a timely manner. Overall, not worth the high cost of care.

My mum is happy here and likes everyone who helps her. She joins in with the activities and especially enjoys the singing and the visiting singers/musicians. I am comfortable that she is looked after well, and I find everyone very approachable if I have any queries.

This is my father-in-law's second time at Inwood House Care Home. We had to admit him at short notice due to his wife being admitted to hospital. The management went out of their way to help me sort things out quickly to ensure his care was in place quickly.

Whilst he was there, the staff were caring and treated him with great dignity.

My uncle loved his time at Inwood and improved dramatically. It is a testament to the excellent care that he received that he was able to return home after a four-month stay. All the staff were incredibly caring and vested in him getting better. He was treated with respect and dignity. I would recommend Inwood wholeheartedly.

Inwood House was a lovely care home, my mother really loved her time there. She felt very happy and everyone was so kind and caring. She loved the food and her room. She loved how the staff took care of her. Her end of life care at the home was cared for with dignity, kindness and compassion towards my mother and us as a family. Many thanks

The overall surroundings and atmosphere at Inwood are very pleasant. Covid rules are strictly adhered to. Mum settled in quickly mainly due to the lovely, hardworking care staff who I cannot praise highly enough. Mum says they are all very friendly and helpful. She also says the food is very tasty.

However, the manager/office staff are rude and unfriendly, such a shame they let the home down. If not for the receptionist, I would have had no help at all.

Initially proposed as a temporary respite 2 week stay for my wife to avoid her anxiety during house modernisation to suit her needs. Then considered her possible added anxiety without me (and mine) so asked if I could stay as well! Accepted! What an excellent opportunity! Every staff member very quickly understood her character and needs and always gave her necessary care in a most sympathetic manner. Individual rooms were spacious, airy and very comfortable, and common areas also. Food was always more than enough, well presented and with a wide variety over the period. Activities with enthusiastic staff participation were well organised and enjoyed by all residents. A ‘happy holiday’ made so entirely by the warmth and friendliness of carers. This first-hand experience has given me the confidence that should it become necessary, to entrust the care of my wife to this establishment.

Mum’s been living at Inwood House for several years now and has been very settled and happy. Most recently we had quite a challenging situation regarding Mum, it was handled with great sensitivity by management. I was particularly grateful to the manager, who went out of her way to support us in a very considerate manner. Thank you!

My mother recently passed away after five very happy years at Inwood House. In all of those years, she kept saying how lovely the staff were. As a visitor, I could see that she was well cared for in every way. The food was well prepared, and wholesome and everywhere was clean and cared for. However, it was the attitude of the staff, whether, in management, nursing care or housekeeping, that so impressed me and my sisters and we will always be grateful to them for their help and kindness.

Clean, well-cared-for residential home. Excellent staff; friendly, dedicated, considerate, cheerful and very professional. My mother spent over four years here until she died last week. The levels of care, particularly in the final weeks, were exemplary. Nothing but praise for the staff and the care provided.

My mother stayed at Inwood for just over 2 weeks in orders to discover what a care home could offer her and to help her decide whether the time was right for her to make the change from living alone to a care environment. In the end, she decided that she did not yet require the level of care offered by Inwood and is now back in her own home, however, should the time come when this level of care is required, Inwood is the place that she would like to be.

The rooms are well appointed and kept very clean. The staff pop in regularly to make sure everything is OK. The building is modern and well appointed. Handrails in all the corridors and lifts. Very secure. The staff are caring and dedicated. There are light and airy communal areas on both floors. All in all, a really good experience and highly recommended.
