Mum initially went in for 2 weeks respite but is now in full time. As a family we cannot speak highly enough of all the staff throughout the care home. From the minute we walked in to have a look around, we have been made to feel so welcome and the team there feel like family. The care that they all
provide is absolutely second to none I cannot fault anything. They have fantastic activities twice a day an amazing menu everyday and frequent drinks and snacks throughout the rest of the day. The staff have made a very difficult and emotional decision so much easier and have been and still are a constant support to our family. I would definitely recommend Monson Care Home for your loved one

Going through the process of selecting a care home for a parents is tricky. We have had a reassuring welcome at Stoneswood, Oldham. The manager, sandra, and her team have made us feel very welcomed. We visited others in the area and Stoneswood was the warmest feeling/ welcome. I feel more comfortable

After finding ourselves in quite a desperate situation and needing respite care for my mother in law, I rang Stoneswood. The deputy manager was so empathetic/sympathetic and informative of what the home could offer. Within a week of calling we chose Stoneswood and my mother in law is now in on a permanent
basis as the care is excellent. She is thriving in there with the care of the staff with lots of activities to keep her stimulated and inclusive. Would highly recommend for any loved one.

Putting my mum into a care home was a huge worry, but Walton Manor was absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is so warm and the staff are incredibly compassionate. They looked after my mum beautifully for four weeks, treating her with dignity and respect. She came out happier and more herself. A truly
wonderful home with exceptional people. We are so grateful. The food was also fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.

Walton Manor has provide the most excellent care to my mum. When she first moved in we had several incidents where she has struggled to settle into the new surroundings. The staff have all shown such patience and care to her, and assisted her in every way. The residents are all looked after with such
care, and are helped to join in the many activities that are going on and are all kept very clean and tidy, and are happy. All of the rooms are also kept really clean and tidy, its a lovely place to be. The staff are very attentive, both to the residents and visitors alike. My parents have been in 4 different homes this year, and i would highly recommend Walton Manor.

Mum has been here since May 2025, and has been well looked after. She has regained her appetite and has become settled whilst she is here. The staff are always attentive, but I do feel that sometimes, they could probably do with a little more assistance.
Reply from Ben Pemberton, Home Administrator at Walton ManorThank you for your compliments about the staff team; we've recently adjusted up staffing levels in response to feedback and to further support the delivery of the great care we're known for. This should provide the additional support you refer to, but it's something we continue to look at closely! Look forward to speaking soon, the Walton Team

My mum has lived at Walton Manor for 2.5 months now. It had become too difficult and unsafe for her to live at home alone any longer. We came for a look around and immediately felt a great atmosphere and knew it would be perfect for mum. She has settled quickly and well and loves the company and care
she receives daily.
I visit her 3 to 4 times a week, and everything is great. Mum loves the home-cooked food, & the company of both the lovely staff and other residents. Everyone works so hard to ensure the smooth running of the care home. The garden is huge, so mum gets her exercise daily, and it is heart-warming to see her so happy and laughing every time i visit. Thank you all so much for making mum so improved in her health & wellbeing.

Overall, I'm happy with my dad's care and the care home in general. The only criticism is that no one seems to take note of the fact that I have mentioned on numerous occasions that dad needs a urine bottle last thing at night and the first thing in the morning. After repeated requests, I am still
coming in to see dad late morning and finding him in bed with wet bedding. I don't have an issue with him sleeping in, but I don't like the fact that he is lying in a mess. The majority of the carers are great with the residents.

Dad has been in Walton Manor for 9 months and has over the time there become more and more happy and settled. The staff know him very well and he responds really well to the staff. they care for Dad and all the Residents and that is evident from how the Residents respond to staff members.

The food,

bedroom, and activities are also all excellent and the staff always strive to do their best. The job is very hard and the staff are always encouraging even when they are tired. They are always welcoming to visitors and families as well.

I am thankful to all the staff and the Walton Manor Team, for making Dad's time there to be really good.

Thanks to each and every member of staff who are so lovely and caring to our Dad.

My Mum has been a resident at Walton Manor for 2 years and I visit most days. There is a consistent commitment from the manager and the team to provide high standards throughout the home. Improvements and enhancements are always visible and in every area. They work so hard every day to deliver care
that reassures families and friends that their loved ones are in a safe, comforting and caring environment. Each member of staff knows my Mum very well, no matter what area of the home they work in. They know her as a person. They also know her needs, likes and dislikes, without having to refer to the endless record keeping they also have to do. The relationship they have built with her is a very genuine one and it shows. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always have a welcoming smile. As hard as it is to have my Mum in care, I truly appreciate the team at Walton Manor. It's a homely home. Thankyou, each and every day.

We called to visit my brother-in-law as he is in for respite care with you. The home was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The garden area is very nice we sat out there for quite a long time. His bedroom was also a good size with a private bathroom which was also very clean. The only negative
is the lack of parking for the home.
Reply from Heather Robinson, Administrator at Monson Care HomeThank you for the review. We pride ourselves in providing the best care to all residents, and provide a homely atmosphere for the residents, visitors & staff. Unfortunately, due to the location of the home we do struggle with parking. We do have resident parking permits, which we lend out to visitors who visit the home. There are also two public car parks situated on Chaplin Street & King Street (the streets before Monson Street). We can reimburse you for the cost of the parking.

My mum became a resident of Walton Manor on NYE 2024. I wanted to wait a period of time before leaving a review in order to gain a full understanding of the care she is receiving rather than make a snap judgement.
What is heartwarming for myself is that the gut feeling I had about the home has not
wavered from my first visit to look around the home until now.
It is a feeling of genuine care, professionalism and compassion. The words care home are quite pertinent as that's exactly what I see on every visit - a caring home. All the staff work as a team, know one another and work together, creating a homely feel that ultimately benefits my mum.
My mum was quite distressed on arrival, after spending 2 months in LGI but became settled and calm very quickly. She still is.
She is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.
All the staff are familiar to her as they don't change. The staff are all full time.
Great facilities in a beautiful environment.
Well done and thank you!

Monson care home is exceptionally lovely. At its core it has the very best and most dedicated team .All the carers, caterers, housekeeping, entertainment and well-being coordinators, receptionist , administrators and managers are exceptional .I have only encountered kind , calm , hard-working , thoughtful
and professional staff. My mother is staying now as a permanent resident after a long hospital admission. She is happy, relaxed and very well cared for. She has been able to have her own chair in her room and other items that make her feel relaxed and at home. she is treated with respect and kindness. There are always activities that are inclusive and well considered. I am impressed with the consistency of the quality of care -as I visit a lot so I feel confident this is a true reflection. In my opinion it is one of the very best care homes in the area, and the team should be incredibly proud of what they provide and achieve. I would recommend to others without hesitation.
