My Mum has been a resident at Walton Manor for 2 years and I visit most days. There is a consistent commitment from the manager and the team to provide high standards throughout the home. Improvements and enhancements are always visible and in every area. They work so hard every day to deliver care
that reassures families and friends that their loved ones are in a safe, comforting and caring environment. Each member of staff knows my Mum very well, no matter what area of the home they work in. They know her as a person. They also know her needs, likes and dislikes, without having to refer to the endless record keeping they also have to do. The relationship they have built with her is a very genuine one and it shows. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they always have a welcoming smile. As hard as it is to have my Mum in care, I truly appreciate the team at Walton Manor. It's a homely home. Thankyou, each and every day.

My mum became a resident of Walton Manor on NYE 2024. I wanted to wait a period of time before leaving a review in order to gain a full understanding of the care she is receiving rather than make a snap judgement.
What is heartwarming for myself is that the gut feeling I had about the home has not
wavered from my first visit to look around the home until now.
It is a feeling of genuine care, professionalism and compassion. The words care home are quite pertinent as that's exactly what I see on every visit - a caring home. All the staff work as a team, know one another and work together, creating a homely feel that ultimately benefits my mum.
My mum was quite distressed on arrival, after spending 2 months in LGI but became settled and calm very quickly. She still is.
She is treated with dignity, respect and kindness.
All the staff are familiar to her as they don't change. The staff are all full time.
Great facilities in a beautiful environment.
Well done and thank you!

We came for three three-week respite following a recommendation and visit. Everyone was cheerful, helpful, caring and understanding. Impressive entrance on arrival, greeted with warmth and friendliness. Spotlessly clean throughout. En-suite, more than adequate and well furnished with quality units.
Meals are well varied and, good quality. Nothing too much trouble for the kind, helpful, cheerful staff. We would definitely recommend Inwood House.

I live in the North of Scotland, 400 miles from Inwood so am unable to visit my sister regularly. We have had a lot of very positive feedback from my niece and my recent first visit has confirmed the excellent reports from her. It is very reassuring to know that she is happy and contented and very well
looked after. The home is more like a hotel with exceptional facilities. I did not see any activities but the pictures I have seen she looks to be enjoying herself. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was not present at any meal times.

We have used Inwood a few times now for respite for mum. We have found the staff friendly and efficient, and caring towards mum. The surroundings are lovely and the rooms are beautiful. They have a daily schedule of activities, which mum may or may not partake in! The communication is excellent from
the staff. We would not hesitate to recommend Inwood House.

This is a wonderful clean caring care home. The carers work tirelessly to assist the residents. The kitchen and laundry staff try to provide an individual service that makes residents feel they are maintaining their individuality. The reception guys are so warm and welcoming and set the tone for visitors.
The cleaners make sure that Inwood always smells clean and fresh and inviting unlike many places I have visited. All in all I am so happy with the care and high standard Inwood provides.

My mother has lived at Inwood House since May 2021. We cannot fault the care she has received over this time. The staff are so kind and supportive and have become like an extended family. The food is good and there is a wide choice of main meal and old style 'school puddings!' The rooms are beautiful
and very clean. We have the added pleasure of extensive grounds and gardens. There are a range of fun and entertaining activities for residents, most days: singing, dancing, crafting and exercise to keep the mind and body active. There is also a little cafe for guests to sit with residents, with the best, daily selection of cakes in Horbury!

We looked at a number of homes before choosing Inwood for our dad. We wanted him to be somewhere homely, welcoming, safe and caring and where we could visit freely and all feel at home. Inwood is just what we wanted! Although dad was only resident for a few months before he passed away, dad was really
well cared for and mum welcomed to visit and be part of the Inwood family. The home is bright, clean and cheerful and the staff are person centred, treating each resident as an individual.

It has been a lovely place for mum taking the stress out of everyday living whilst she got better and stronger. Beautiful room, building, bright and cheerful, very clean in every area and friendly, professional staff. (special note for staff in the office and reception). Mum has loved the food and has
looked forward to her meal and put weight on for the first time in many years. "Well done Inwood"

My dad went into Walton Manor when Mum had a fall. He has dementia and cannot cope on his own. The staff were amazing, helping him to settle in. He is now there permanently and is so much more content than when he lived at home. He has much more social contact as well as activities available. The staff
pick up much quicker if he gets a water infection but he now drinks more so we have less issues.
Overall Dad is in better health and more content now at Walton Manor. The staff are very friendly and caring. We are delighted with his care.

Both my Mum and Dad were at Inwood House from 2018, my Dad passed away in 2022 aged 96 and my Mum in February 2024 aged 99. Since they moved in they both enjoyed their time there, my Dad was always very enthusiastic about the food. I visited regularly and the staff, many of whom recognised me and were
always kind and helpful and went out of their way to make the visit meaningful for everyone. Before I chose Inwood House for my Mum, she had been discharged into other homes and when I visited, she usually pleaded for me to take her out. At Inwood the facilities were nice and the staff ratio meant my parents got the attention and interaction when they needed or wanted it, the staff all knew them personally by name. If my time comes when I need caring for I hope I can some somewhere like Inwood House.

I chose Inwood House after visiting 5 other care homes in Wakefield. I knew as soon as I walked in that it was the place for mum. The staff are so lovely and caring, mum talks about the care she receives and how the staff spend time with her. I attended a family event yesterday with the event's coordinator
and the community nurse, it was very informative and enjoyable, mum really enjoyed it, she introduced me to her friends and interacted with other residents' families. Mum's room has just been redecorated in the colour she chose and she is thrilled with it. Mum's happy so I am happy.
