Since my mum has been in Tamarix Lodge for respite cste after major surgery she has come on leaps and bounds as she gets the best care possible from the whole team of staff. They are all very kind and caring . Mum gets along with all of them and the other residents. She loves the food and has an activity daily . Her room is always spotlessly clean and tidy. The home always smells fresh and staff are very welcoming
Thank you so much for your kind feedback. Were delighted to hear that your mum has thrived during her respite stay at Tamarix Lodge and that she enjoys the care, activities, and environment. Your kind words about our team, food, and home mean a great deal, and well be sure to share them with everyone.
My father-in-law went into tamarix in April I have seen a Hugh difference in him he was a man who just looked out of his window counting tractors every day. Since going into tamarix he has come out of his shell plays bingo, bowls, and other activities even baking. This is all thanks to the manager and all the staff who do a fabulous job under difficult circumstances sometimes. Can't praise them enough would recommend them to anyone. There are not enough stars and five is not good enough.

She adores the home ..staff and other residents so much that she is hoping to stay permanently as she has said its even better than being in her own home ..she feels safe .cared for .and just enjoys seeing people everyday they always have a smile for her and make her feel wanted and welcome. She loves the food and the activities there's always something to do. The home is spotless and very clean always a cheerful welcome when we visit. Nothing is too much for them . I cannot praise Tamarix Lodge highly enough for the care and attention given to my mother in law since she went to live there 18 months ago, she is very happy living there and this is due to the constant care she receives by the manager and her team. I can highly recommend Tamarix to anyone thinking about their family member moving in there, and feel lucky that there was a place available at a time when we needed it.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Were delighted to hear that your mother-in-law is happy and well cared for at Tamarix Lodge. Your recognition of our teams dedication means a great deal, and were so pleased we could be there when you needed us. We truly appreciate your recommendation.
My mother has been in Tamarix Lodge for almost two years now and from day one has been made to feel welcome and included, as have my family and I. All along the staff have been very respectful and friendly to the residents and have always been considerate to mum's and the other residents' needs. The Manager is very friendly, approachable and very much 'hands on' and always seen and available around the home which is something that is very important to me.
There are always plenty of varied activities to keep the residents involved and stimulated along with regular trips out for those who want to go and the way the staff go the extra mile when there is a special birthday or other celebration is second to none which is really lovely for all the residents. I am more than happy with mum being a resident of Tamarix Lodge and have no issues at all in recommending this lovely care home.
Thank you for your kind words. Were thrilled to hear that your mother has felt so welcome and supported, and that our team and manager have made both her and your family feel included. Your feedback means a lot to everyone here and will be shared with the whole team.
Love this home my dad was in this care home for 3 years and was well looked after in everyway. The staff cant do enough for the residents and its very personal. It is run by excellent management and carers. The home is very homely, clean and all residents seem well looked after and happy. The dad died in 2023 during the night and made his last years very comforted. On this note my mum is now in Tamarix has she was well known to all the staff felt very at home to go into this care home. The management holds regular meeting with the families to make sure that they are happy with everything from food, hairdressers and personal rooms.
Thank you for sharing your kind words. Were delighted to hear that your dad felt well cared for and comfortable during his time with us, and that your mum has settled so well at Tamarix Lodge. Your recognition of our staff and management means a great deal, and were grateful for your feedback about our home and the family-focused approach we strive to provide.
My dad is has been in Tamarix Lodge since April. He is a changed man since going in. Has had 2 hospital admissions since going in and the help and support from all the staff has been wonderful. Even we as a family have had such good care given. It's like he has a whole new family which is brilliant.
Thank you for sharing your kind words. Were thrilled to hear that your dad has settled so well and that our teams support has made such a positive difference for him and your family. Its wonderful to know he feels at home with us, and your feedback will be shared with the whole team.
My Granny moved into Tamarix at the beginning of the year, it was a difficult decision and we didn't know what to expect but ever since she moved in, the care and support provided by all staff members has been exceptional. The management are fantastic and any issues are sorted promptly, they have not only been supportive to my granny but to our family as well. The manager is a fantastic manager and she's got to know my granny really well, it put us all at ease with how kind and approachable she is, it's lovely to go in and have a chat with everyone. Special mention to another member of staff who goes above and beyond and has even helped my grandad out with things too! They've all got to know my granny very well and knowing how safe and well cared for she is, is heartwarming. All the activities are brilliant and the activity coordinators get everybody involved, it's lovely to see.

Cannot praise this home enough. Mam was in Tamarix for respite so was expecting to stay for a couple of weeks but ended up staying permanently calling it her forever home. She was very much against care homes so what a shock when she said she didn't want to go back to her own place but to stay where she was. She very quickly settled in and got to know the staff as they did her. She said Tamarix was her home and that she felt safe there which meant a lot to us. The staff were friendly and caring and nothing was too much trouble for mam. She got her wish to die in her bed in her very homely room and we will be eternally grateful for all the love and care she received whilst in there. Would highly recommend Tamarix for a loved one.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It's incredibly meaningful to know that what began as a short respite stay became something so much more for your mam. For someone who was initially hesitant about care homes to come to see Tamarix as her forever home is a powerful reflection of the warmth...
My mum was sent to Tamarix Lodge back in September 2024. After years of her telling us to never put her in a home, after a couple of weeks mum was saying she wanted to stay as she felt safe and had 24 hour care. My mum was a formidable character but each and every member of staff, from cleaners to management, had so much patience and admiration for her and they seemed to love her like a member of their own families. And, more importantly, Mum loved them. Unfortunately Mum has now passed away and she was back in the home after spending some time in the hospital. It's where she wanted to be, asking to die there because it was "her home".
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. We are truly honoured that your mam chose Tamarix as her forever home, especially knowing how uncertain she initially felt about the idea of residential care. It means the world to us that she found comfort, safety and a real sense of belonging here. Our...
The team were caring, compassionate and thoughtful - the lodge itself was spotless, the food excellent and Mum always looked cared for and well presented - right till the end.
The manager went the extra mile for everything and nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for helping make her final months as comfortable as she could be.
Highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind words and heartfelt recommendation of Tamarix Lodge. We are deeply sorry for your loss and honoured to have cared for your mum during her final months. It means so much to know our team's compassion, dedication, and attention to detail helped make her time with us as...
Exceptional care, she was welcomed to Tamarix Lodge to a glass of whisky and her favourite soup. Sadly, Mum passed away after a matter of weeks. The manager was happy for her to remain at the home during the end-of-life journey and the team leaders were incredible making sure she got the care she needed. The staff were knowledgeable and caring and treated Mum with dignity and respect. When we visited, she was comfortable, clean bed, and fresh clothing and watching her favourite TV. They went above and beyond to get to know her. The team and managers put us at ease and we were confident she was safe and receiving the best care. We are extremely proud of the work they do and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The staff are dedicated and caring people. They listened, they were responsive and nothing was too much trouble. Mum was lucky to be in a care home that demonstrated compassion with great leadership and teamwork. From the bottom of our hearts ‘thank you’ for everything.
Thank you for sharing your touching experience. We're deeply sorry for your loss, but we're glad to hear that your mum found comfort and care at Tamarix Lodge during her final days. It's heartwarming to know that our team provided her with the dignity, respect, and personalised attention she...
I cannot fault either the care home or the staff. My mum has been a resident since August, and I can honestly say she is well cared for and is treated with dignity. All the staff are lovely and very caring. Her room is lovely and caters for all her needs. I feel very happy, as I know my mum is happy living there.
I'm grateful for your positive feedback. We're glad to bring happiness to your mum and peace of mind to you. Thank you for sharing your experience
My mum has a lovely room and the food is exceptional.
The activities and entertainment are enjoyed so much and then to see her on Twitter taking part is lovely.
The staff are extremely kind and caring and they are always on top of her health needs.
I would highly recommend this care home, it truly is a lovely place for your loved one.
My mum is very happy.
The staff are, at all times, caring, attentive and professional. Management has created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages the taking part in the many activities provided for the residents.
My mother often remarks positively about the meals provided and the choices available.
Congratulations to all and thank you.
