After a long period in hospital, my father became a resident of Cranwell Court. Alas, most of his stay was for end of life care, but whilst he was there, he was the most settled I had seen him in a long time. The staff at Cranwell was truly something. So caring and professional.
They made a very difficult
time for us that my much better and gave Dad the peace and respect and care he deserved. Thank you.

My Father was a resident at Overton House for 11 months. He had several health issues and dementia. I can't ever express fully how grateful I am for the care and compassion shown to him during his stay. The rooms and common areas are bright, clean and comfortable. The staff are professional, knowledgeable
and supportive, towards both their clients and their families. They make a huge effort to keep the people in their care stimulated and busy. They organise activities and special events on a regular basis. Residents in the home are always treated as individuals. staff use their name when interacting with them, not generic dear, lovely etc. My father was treated with respect and dignity. I would recommend Overton House to anyone looking for residential care.

Staff are always friendly and my aunt seems really cared for, there was an open day on August 16th friends and family of residents could go, it was a really good afternoon, food was lovely and the ABBA tribute was amazing. We looked around the newly decorated rooms, and they which were accommodating
and nicely decorated, it was a really nice day .

My father came into this home on a crisis basis. He has mixed dementia and was a bit bewildered. The whole team was very kind, caring and took so much time to make him feel comfortable. Dad is now a permanent resident and he always tells me how good it is to be there, that everyone is nice and that
they can't do enough for him. And the most important thing for me as his daughter is that he tells me every time I visit that he his happy to be there. I find the team are always friendly and care so much for the residents.

Since my mum has been in Tamarix Lodge for respite cste after major surgery she has come on leaps and bounds as she gets the best care possible from the whole team of staff. They are all very kind and caring . Mum gets along with all of them and the other residents. She loves the food and has an activity
daily . Her room is always spotlessly clean and tidy. The home always smells fresh and staff are very welcoming

My father-in-law went into tamarix in April I have seen a Hugh difference in him he was a man who just looked out of his window counting tractors every day. Since going into tamarix he has come out of his shell plays bingo, bowls, and other activities even baking. This is all thanks to the manager and
all the staff who do a fabulous job under difficult circumstances sometimes. Can't praise them enough would recommend them to anyone. There are not enough stars and five is not good enough.

My mum in law has been in Tamarix Lodge now for just over 3 months as she is recovering from major surgery . She adores the home ..staff and other residents so much that she is hoping to stay permanently as she has said its even better than being in her own home ..she feels safe .cared for .and just
enjoys seeing people everyday they always have a smile for her and make her feel wanted and welcome. She loves the food and the activities there's always something to do. The home is spotless and very clean always a cheerful welcome when we visit. Nothing is too much for them . Keep up the brilliant work you all do we are very grateful for every single one of you .

I cannot praise Tamarix Lodge highly enough for the care and attention given to my mother in law since she went to live there 18 months ago, she is very happy living there and this is due to the constant care she receives by the manager and her team. I can highly recommend Tamarix to anyone thinking
about their family member moving in there, and feel lucky that there was a place available at a time when we needed it.

My mother moved into the care home November 25. At first she struggled adapting to her new surroundings but now she has settled down and is a lot more content, which is down to the excellent care she receives from all of the staff. On another note i would like to say how much all the staff make our
family welcome when visiting.
Thank you.

Tamarix Lodge - Care Home

My mother has been in Tamarix Lodge for almost two years now and from day one has been made to feel welcome and included, as have my family and I. All along the staff have been very respectful and friendly to the residents and have always been considerate to mum's and the other residents' needs.
The Manager is very friendly, approachable and very much 'hands on' and always seen and available around the home which is something that is very important to me.

There are always plenty of varied activities to keep the residents involved and stimulated along with regular trips out for those who want to go and the way the staff go the extra mile when there is a special birthday or other celebration is second to none which is really lovely for all the residents. I am more than happy with mum being a resident of Tamarix Lodge and have no issues at all in recommending this lovely care home.

Love this home my dad was in this care home for 3 years and was well looked after in everyway. The staff cant do enough for the residents and its very personal. It is run by excellent management and carers. The home is very homely, clean and all residents seem well looked after and happy. The dad died
in 2023 during the night and made his last years very comforted. On this note my mum is now in Tamarix has she was well known to all the staff felt very at home to go into this care home. The management holds regular meeting with the families to make sure that they are happy with everything from food, hairdressers and personal rooms.

My Granny moved into Tamarix at the beginning of the year, it was a difficult decision and we didn't know what to expect but ever since she moved in, the care and support provided by all staff members has been exceptional. The management are fantastic and any issues are sorted promptly, they have not
only been supportive to my granny but to our family as well. The manager is a fantastic manager and she's got to know my granny really well, it put us all at ease with how kind and approachable she is, it's lovely to go in and have a chat with everyone. Special mention to another member of staff who goes above and beyond and has even helped my grandad out with things too! They've all got to know my granny very well and knowing how safe and well cared for she is, is heartwarming. All the activities are brilliant and the activity coordinators get everybody involved, it's lovely to see.

Cannot praise this home enough. Mam was in Tamarix for respite so was expecting to stay for a couple of weeks but ended up staying permanently calling it her forever home. She was very much against care homes so what a shock when she said she didn't want to go back to her own place but to stay where
she was. She very quickly settled in and got to know the staff as they did her. She said Tamarix was her home and that she felt safe there which meant a lot to us. The staff were friendly and caring and nothing was too much trouble for mam. She got her wish to die in her bed in her very homely room and we will be eternally grateful for all the love and care she received whilst in there. Would highly recommend Tamarix for a loved one.
Reply from Ruth Mountain, Home Manager at Tamarix Lodge - Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind review. It's incredibly meaningful to know that what began as a short respite stay became something so much more for your mam. For someone who was initially hesitant about care homes to come to see Tamarix as her forever home is a powerful reflection of the warmth and compassion shown by our team. We're so glad she felt safe, valued, and truly at home with us-it's exactly what we hope for every person we support. Knowing she found comfort, connection, and peace here, especially in her final days, is something we'll always treasure. Your kind recommendation means a great deal to us all. It was a privilege to care for your mam and we send our heartfelt thanks for your trust.

My mum was sent to Tamarix Lodge back in September 2024. After years of her telling us to never put her in a home, after a couple of weeks mum was saying she wanted to stay as she felt safe and had 24 hour care. My mum was a formidable character but each and every member of staff, from cleaners to management,
had so much patience and admiration for her and they seemed to love her like a member of their own families. And, more importantly, Mum loved them. Unfortunately Mum has now passed away and she was back in the home after spending some time in the hospital. It's where she wanted to be, asking to die there because it was "her home".
Reply from Ruth Mountain, Home Manager at Tamarix Lodge - Care Home

Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. We are truly honoured that your mam chose Tamarix as her forever home, especially knowing how uncertain she initially felt about the idea of residential care. It means the world to us that she found comfort, safety and a real sense of belonging here. Our team will be deeply moved to hear that their care and compassion made such a difference, not only to your mam but to your whole family. It was a privilege to support her and ensure she felt truly at home in her final chapter. Thank you again for your trust and recommendation its something we never take for granted.
