My mother has lived at Overton House for about 6 weeks now and appears very happy. She has told me that they have a lot of fun, and is really enjoying the social events. All the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. She has also commented on the large amount of food on offer, which she seems
to be enjoying. Can't thank everyone enough for making her, and myself so welcome.

Mum has been at Hampden nearly two years. Although it has taken her time to settle in, she is slowly getting there. This is no reflection on the Home, but more the fact that she is unable to do anything for herself anymore and she finds this difficult. We find the staff very accommodating and friendly,
although at times I do feel that staffing levels are a little low. Any time I/mum has any concerns I take them straight to management and they are addressed immediately. Activities are always good. Mums room is lovely and we are fortunate to have a lovely outlook.

Hampden House

Overall Experience 3.0 out of 5
My feedback is on the three months that I have been involved with H.House.
Menu is varied and is liked, but seems to have a lot of soup and curried items.
Afternoon drinks are sometimes quite late and at weekends sometimes the lead nurse is serving it and also tidying up!
Portion size of biscuits
and cakes are small.
Weekends don't appear to be staffed in the numbers that are working during the week which looks like there is pressure on the staff working and the care they are able to provide. Short cuts on care are taken.
Mouth hygiene for my family member is hit and miss.
Conveen is either not fitted or sometimes is short to the knee which makes it uncomfortable for the wearer and hard to empty.
The three months have been a challenge for me as the family member. My expectations weren't met, but it is early days and I hope things will improve.
Laundry service is good.
Activities are good.
Rooms are good and the garden is lovely.
Staff are friendly.

Mum has been a resident at Hampden House for almost 2 years now,and she has settled brilliantly.
My family and I couldn't be happier with the care and support she receives.
The facilities are excellent, and the activities provided daily are first class. There is always something each week which suits
everyone. Mum especially enjoys the music events and the bingo.
The home itself is beautifully presented and the gardens are amazing. Perfect for enjoying an afternoon in the sunshine.
Everyone goes out of their way to make sure Mum is happy, and it is so reassuring for us to know that she is safe, cared for, and in such good hands. Thank you everyone, for the wonderful job you do!

After a long period in hospital, my father became a resident of Cranwell Court. Alas, most of his stay was for end of life care, but whilst he was there, he was the most settled I had seen him in a long time. The staff at Cranwell was truly something. So caring and professional.

My Father was a resident at Overton House for 11 months. He had several health issues and dementia. I can't ever express fully how grateful I am for the care and compassion shown to him during his stay. The rooms and common areas are bright, clean and comfortable. The staff are professional, knowledgeable
and supportive, towards both their clients and their families. They make a huge effort to keep the people in their care stimulated and busy. They organise activities and special events on a regular basis. Residents in the home are always treated as individuals. staff use their name when interacting with them, not generic dear, lovely etc. My father was treated with respect and dignity. I would recommend Overton House to anyone looking for residential care.

My father came into this home on a crisis basis. He has mixed dementia and was a bit bewildered. The whole team was very kind, caring and took so much time to make him feel comfortable. Dad is now a permanent resident and he always tells me how good it is to be there, that everyone is nice and that
they can't do enough for him. And the most important thing for me as his daughter is that he tells me every time I visit that he his happy to be there. I find the team are always friendly and care so much for the residents.

My mother has been in Tamarix Lodge for almost two years now and from day one has been made to feel welcome and included, as have my family and I. All along the staff have been very respectful and friendly to the residents and have always been considerate to mum's and the other residents' needs.
The Manager is very friendly, approachable and very much 'hands on' and always seen and available around the home which is something that is very important to me.

There are always plenty of varied activities to keep the residents involved and stimulated along with regular trips out for those who want to go and the way the staff go the extra mile when there is a special birthday or other celebration is second to none which is really lovely for all the residents. I am more than happy with mum being a resident of Tamarix Lodge and have no issues at all in recommending this lovely care home.

Love this home my dad was in this care home for 3 years and was well looked after in everyway. The staff cant do enough for the residents and its very personal. It is run by excellent management and carers. The home is very homely, clean and all residents seem well looked after and happy. The dad died
