An afternoon of entertainment for the residents, it's lovely to see the ladies enjoying a singsong and a little dance. A fundraising event organised by the activities ladies we were able to enjoy a game of bingo and supper.

The staff are brilliant they show the care they give to my husband and are always willing to help. I have some issues with the food my husband gets. He is on a forkful diet but some meals get repeated too often.

Reply from Cameron Innes, Marketing & Communications Coordinator at Elm Tree Court - Care Home

The care provided is good the carers do an amazing job with the tools provided by the hica group. As always there is room for improvement, for example, the care team should be attached to one area of of home rather than moving from different areas so there is constant familiarity among the residents and no cross-contamination if there are any illnesses. Sometimes the staff are stretched at times help over busier times would be an advantage for example meal times to assist residents and keep residents sitting at tables to eat meals. The cleaning could be really improved the floors are always dirty I would assume other areas are the same. Laundry service could be improved as items go missing even when marked up. The food could be improved it could be cooked in-house and not bought in, it's repetitive.
