The ELMS Residential Home is a modern 35-bed care home in Hull, providing exceptional care and support for older people from Hull and the East Riding. Specialist equipment such as hoists, grab rails, and mobility aids is available throughout the home to ensure safety and enhance comfort.
Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with familiar belongings and treasured memories, creating a living space that truly feels like home. The on-site salon hosts a professional hairdresser twice a week, while freshly prepared meals are created in the home’s kitchen, with menus designed to meet a wide range of dietary needs and preferences.

My relative was in for more than 6 years in The Elms. He was very well looked after and the care he received was nothing but kindness from all the staff. He passed away recently with the dignity he deserved.
I have nothing but praise for this home and its staff.

My mum is 97 years old and has been a resident at The Elms for two and a half years. Prior to this, she lived at home with my father with support from local care workers. Whilst at home my mother suffered from severe depression and slept most of the day and night. She was visited by psychiatric nurses
on a regular basis and even a psychiatrist. Since she became a resident in The Elms we have seen a significant improvement in her mental and physical state. She is generally bright and cheerful and even knits. She eats well, gets plenty of fluids. She looks forward to the hairdresser visiting every week, her room is bright, clean and tidy. She gets visits from the dentist, chiropodist and opticians as necessary.
Overall I am happy with her care.

The Elms care home is very nice and clean. Staff are very good. Food was very good up to a month ago when we were having a light or buffet meal. I prefer a gravy meal at lunchtime, not as an evening meal. My only complaint.

The Elms is a homely, comfortable house in a lovely location. All visitors are made to feel welcome. The residents are treated at all times with respect and consideration. They are clean and have a good regime. Not rushed at all. The meals are good. The bedrooms are comfy and neat. My mum lived here
for 3 years before her recent death. She was happy and I feel she had the best care available to her.

Mum's first experience of The Elms was in respite (2011/2012) and then as a resident from 2013 until her demise in September this year (2018). We found lots of love, care and attention from the start, the tenderness and consideration Mum was given was exemplary, her room was clean and the food was excellent,
we ate there so can say from experience, we also found it to be very nutritious. The carers always went the extra mile and were considerate to both resident and relative alike, they gave lots of support through some difficult times. Overall I would like to say a big thank you.

My mother has been in The Elms for nearly 4 years. The care she has received has been very good. It is a very friendly home and the staff are very caring and helpful.
The food has attained 5 stars and is especially good.
I would recommend The Elms and have had good feedback from visiting friends and
relatives.
They have been glad to get their loved ones into The Elms.

Found The Elms short staffed most of the time. Food poor for the price they charge. My mother's morning drinks were still on the table at lunch as she needed assistance. Overall, try as you may if short staffed you can only do the best with what you have. Would not recommend The Elms if it is a care
home you need there is not a lot of that.

Jenny Watson began her career in Health and Social Care at the age of 16, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of roles before achieving her goal of becoming a Home Manager in 2005. Over the years, she has cultivated extensive expertise in care home management and holds NVQ Levels 2 and 3, the Level 5 Manager’s Award in Health and Social Care, and a Level 5 qualification in Business Management.


With more than 30 years of experience leading residential, dementia, and specialist care services, Jenny is deeply passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. She is committed to upholding the organisation’s reputation as an inclusive care provider where kindness, dignity, and respect are embedded in every aspect of service delivery.
