Mum came into Greenacres Care Home for a 2 week respite, after leaving hospital. Although she was still in discomfort the staff were wonderful, especially the young male senior, he went above and beyond, high praise to him indeed. If mum ever needed to go back into respite we'd definitely choose Greenacres again. A lovely team of caring people.

Found the care home excellent. My wife had major surgery for a hip replacement and a broken femur bone. Not allowed to weight bare for a minimum of 6 - 8 weeks. All staff were polite, professional and understanding of our requirements and went above and beyond our expectations. Cannot thank them enough for what they have done and are still doing. Thank you!

I was extremely worried about the time coming when I would have to put my mum into a care home. When the time came, I knew that she had to be admitted, her safety, well-being and medical needs could no longer be met at home. I cannot thank everyone enough for the wonderful care, support and kindness they are giving to my mum. If only I had known I need not have worried. Greenacres has such a warm homely feel, it is not clinical, cold or frightening.

I was happy with the care provided following my ankle injury, the staff were excellent and looked after my needs, especially as for six weeks I was unable to put any weight on my ankle. I was encouraged to go for meals in the dining area to make sure I was not stuck in my room 24/7. Overall thank you for the help in my recovery. I was also pleased to find out that I could go out with family at a weekend, just for a change of scenery.

Lovely friendly staff, always happy to help when needed. Mum is always comfortable and says she is happy with her care. The staff will go the extra mile to give Mum the help and care that she needs. She enjoys her meals and the food is always of good quality. She is always washed, changed and presentable whenever we visit her. I would recommend Greenacres Care Home to anyone.

Mum moved to Greenacres in May 2023. We initially had concerns about moving Mum from one care home to another because of her dementia. We are so pleased with how Mum has settled in. Greenacres is a calm, quiet environment, with several lounges for residents to choose from. The carers are helpful and have a lovely attitude towards residents. Mum's room is kept clean and tidy. Good communication between staff and family members. Mum is very happy.

Could not fault the care home at all for both my parents who were on respite care from May until March.
Unfortunately, my father died, so we moved Mum to be nearer family as Crowle is a bit far away.

Both parents were treated very well and ended up in a room together.

Reply from Alison Hunt-Siwy, Manager at Greenacres Care Home
Thank you for the review we have received from you for our service.
It was a privilege to have known your parents and cared for them for that period of time.
We rehabilitated where we could, to provide as much independence as we were able to, to make their lives as enjoyable as we could.

To have arranged birthday and anniversary celebrations at the home, making memories and smiles.

I was a resident there from 22nd February until 15th March and during my stay, I found the manager and staff always had my best interests in mind. They have been polite, courteous, cheerful and very professional, nothing has been a problem.
With regard to my care and getting me mobile they have kept me fully supported and motivated encouraging me with my exercises, etc.

The surroundings are very good and I would recommend the home to all.

My mum left the hospital on the 27th of September 2022 and spent her final ten days in the loving care of Greenacres Care Home. I don't have enough words to describe the love, care and kindness that Mum received during her final days. The manager and every member of staff treated her with such kindness and dignity. She was kept comfortable at all times. As a family, we were helped every step of the way by keeping us up to date on all that was happening to Mum during each stage. We were welcomed by everyone and our needs were always taken into consideration.

I have visited the resident during July and August. He seems comfortable in his room, staff passing his open door are always pleasant. I do think he should walk more, I know it's a staff problem but he could soon go off his legs, as my father did when he was in Greenacres.
