Alba Rose

All the staff have been and are exemplary in the care of my parents. My father recently passed away and the care for the family and particularly my mother was sympathetic. kind and caring.

I could not wish for better care for my mother. The staff are marvellous, so caring with all residents. They keep me informed on how Mum is doing and nothing is too much bother, whatever I ask. The home is very clean and well looked after and all meals I've seen are excellent. I have no worries about recommending Alba Rose to anyone. Well done!

The standard of care is brilliant. Empathetic and caring, very professional, and well organised. The staff and management have been fantastic from day one.

Our cousin who has special needs went to Alba Rose as an emergency placement when I as her main carer suffered a heart attack. She was there from July 2021-May 2022. The Team at Alba Rose were wonderful with her during with was a difficult and uncertain time for her. The support they gave her was second to none. Spending time with her and reassuring and supporting her. This was certainly a challenging time for them which they rose to and met well. We cannot speak highly enough of the care given to her as the home is not for clients with LD but for the Elderly and specialising in Dementia Care. What should have been a short-term placement became a prolonged placement lasting 9 months partly due to Covid and no available places in the area for clients with special needs. The manager and the team did all they could to ensure her needs were met to the best of their ability. We thank them for all their hard work and kindness to ourselves and her. She is now in her forever home. Thank you all.

We could not have wished for a more wonderful place to put Dad in his final years. The care and attention of all staff is exceptional. They are always smiling and so dedicated. Nothing is a problem. I was delighted on my first visit to him to see him looking so well, happy, and putting on weight. He has settled so well and praises all the staff and loves the food. He is provided with anything he needs night and day. They keep us informed about everything. They go above and beyond their duty.

The carers are very good with Mum. Alba Rose have done as much as they can to keep covid-19 out of the home.

We go to visit our dear friends at their home (we do not feel that we are visiting a care home). We are always made to feel so welcome by all the staff and feel like family visiting. Our friends are constantly asked what they want and are allowed to make their own decisions. We have been surprised by the homely atmosphere. In the past when visiting homes we have been glad to get out!

My 94-year-old father has been a resident at Alba Rose for over 4 years. The staff have always been excellent at handling his physical and psychological difficulties. Management are very responsive to any issue raised. A particular strength is the employment of an activities supervisor. I can truly say that this care home gives their residents a better quality of life than any residential home that I knew during my working life as a GP.

The home is very well organised and staff always available to be of assistance. The home deals with all resident's hospital appointments, including transport. The staff really motivate the residents, encouraging them to join in with all activities they organise. They have worked exceptionally hard during Covid.

The staff are both helpful and caring - nothing seems too much trouble for them. They have gone out of their way to facilitate family access to my mum during her temporary stay.

My wife spent four weeks in Alba Rose whilst I recovered from a heart attack. The home is well run and the staff kind and helpful. Given the Covid restrictions, visiting access was good and the home is making great efforts to ensure safety.

My mother has been a resident at Alba Rose for over seven years. She has received excellent care and all the carers go out of their way to look after all her needs. She is always treated with compassion and dignity and is extremely happy at Alba Rose.

Despite the difficult situation, the residents are kept happy and occupied.

Alba Rose has provided my mother with exceptional care for the past four years. She has a comfortable, spacious room where she has her own furniture so that it has always felt like home. The staff have always shown a warm, caring attitude and, until the present lock-down, have provided a very varied and stimulating programme of activities, especially the weekly "coffee run". The new management has taken over seamlessly and maintained the standard of care as well as greatly improving their communication with me, both from Alba Rose and from head office. On the most re-assuring aspects of my mother's care during the pandemic has been the stability of the staff with a low turnover, and the absence of agency staff. A recent visit to the garden marquee was well organised and successful.

Staff are in regular contact with us and have really grown to know and understand my mother in law for which I am grateful. Her often complicated care needs are taken seriously and proactively dealt with wherever possible.

My grandmother spent many happy years at Alba Rose. Her health and well-being really improved during her time in the home. It was always very clear when we visited how tremendously caring the staff were towards grandma and the other residents. I always felt the home had a lovely family atmosphere. Grandma loved her room and the views out of the window across fields. A big Thank-you to all the staff at Alba Rose for making such a difference to My Grandma.
