Overall Experience

After some really awful experiences in the past with other care providers, I moved Mum to Dulverton House in Scarborough. After a tricky start due to Mum’s deterioration and confusion with Dementia, the manager and her team of dedicated staff offered much support, care and compassion to help our family get things as settled as they can be. I’ll never be happy that my Mum is in care but I can be satisfied that her needs are being met by people that seem to care. They communicate with myself and my sister in a way we’ve never experienced before. They inform us and involve us in her care. If there’s ever an issue or concern, they deal with it as best they can which eases the worry for me to a point. I know from experience that having Mum stay in a home where they encourage family involvement and work with you and not against you, makes a huge difference to how you cope as a family.
