Please note, the weekly fee does not include hairdressing, chiropody or other healthcare visits or
appointments not covered by the NHS, toiletries, newspapers or magazines, any over the counter
medications that a GP wouldn’t normally prescribe such as paracetamol and indigestion relief, and any
other privately arranged healthcare. Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply
an agreed hourly charge for this service.

Despite all our worries, she settled better than we all expected and we are blown away by the care and support of all the staff, in particular the activities coordinators who engage all the residents in lots of activities on a daily basis. I think it's brilliant all round, I see my Aunty having days that at this stage of her life must be so much more fulfilled than they were at home, she is smiling again and we can take comfort it was the best decision.to make.

Thank you for taking the time to review The Terrace. We are delighted that you are happy with your wife's care and the home's safety and cleanliness. Our lifestyles team always encourages your wife to take part in the daily activities. We understand your wife often spends quality time with her family out of the home which means some activities are missed. Our new lounge and new bar/coffee shop are almost complete, which we're sure your wife will enjoy. We apologise about the rail which was installed a few weeks ago but don't hesitate to speak with the home manager if there is anything else that concerns you.
I would welcome the opportunity of more communication to discuss any issues/queries with management or staff
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you would recommend The Terrace and that you think the standard of care we provide for your sister is very good. We have had staffing issues recently due to colleagues leaving without notice and sickness and we have done our utmost to cover these shifts with agency staff in the interim. Thankfully we are now back to full team resource. We know we speak quite often when you visit, but perhaps you would like to attend a resident meeting should you wish a more formal communication route. Alternatively, the home manager has an open door policy if you would prefer a private conversation with her.
Thank you for the very positive review about The Terrace. We are delighted that you considered your uncle’s care and support to be excellent and that his room was always clean and tidy. We pride ourselves in providing a range of activities that are designed around resident’s interests, so we are happy to hear he enjoyed himself. At The Terrace, we promote independence where ever possible and therefore respected your uncle’s wish to attend to his own personal care. However, as we have high standards of cleanliness, our team always quickly assist with any mishaps to minimise odours.

My role is to ensure the team work efficiently and effectively together to deliver the care that we are well known for and proud of.
I’ve achieved my Level 3 qualification in social care and have worked my way up from a part-time Care Assistant to Team Leader and now Home Manager. As Home Manager, it’s important to be kind and understanding. You also need good leadership, time management and organisational skills.
I’m always proud when I see the enjoyment on residents’ faces. Watching them laughing and enjoying their time here and knowing that I have contributed to that fills my heart with joy. My favourite part of the day is seeing the residents in the dining room enjoying their breakfast and having that first morning chat with them.
When I’m not working, I love to travel the world and see how other people live. I also like crocheting, making jewellery and enjoying a good glass of Rioja while reading a book!
