This home is very different to other residential care homes you will come across!

This small family business has two decades of experience in award winning care. They stay small to ensure they can keep that personal touch that sits at the heart of every great care home.

Thornton Hill has recently been purchased and renovated (2025)to bring a modern 21st century feel to the 1870's manor house.

If staff can enjoy a happy work environment where they have the trust and resources to do their jobs to the best of their abilities, mixed with shining personalities, inevitably the care can be of the highest quality.

Thornton Hill aims for exceptional as standard and will always work tirelessly to ensure the elderly people residing there live fulfilled, happy lives.

Make sure to look out for the newly built secret garden roof terrace.

Job Title: Owner Joined: 2015

Hi, I'm Ben, and I am the proud owner of Thornton Hill Care Home and Well Springs Nursing Home.

I joined my father in business in 2015, where I learnt all the roles in the home by performing them alongside our fabulous team. Eventually, I learnt how to play a leading role in running the business, with quality at the forefront of all decisions. Fast forward to 2025, when our small family business bought our second home, Thornton Hill.

I came into care because I love seeing what is possible in a world where, sadly, there are not enough lovely homes. I am involved daily across both homes and always love to meet families that want to look around. I feel lucky to be a part of such an amazing team where we have lots of staff who have stayed with us for decades.

My grandma was looked after by my incredible colleagues for 5 years of her life when she needed that extra support. I trust our staff to try their hardest and let their personalities shine, and that is why we have a lovely reputation as a business that truly cares about the elderly people who need great care.
