Marine Park View Care Home is a loving in family-run care home and part of the Award Winning Caring and Leading Group (Leaders in Care Winner 2024 and Nominated for Provider of the Year at Leaders in Care Awards 2025). The team at Marine Park View are passionate in providing excellent person-centred residential up to 30 residents. Located opposite the South Marine Park, Marine Park View has dedicated caring staff to attend to the needs of residents with all the amenities one may need on their doorstep.

The team at Marine Park View believe strongly in the mission statement outlining their commitment to providing excellent care. All staff believe that people need to feel content and secure - physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

Residents have a choice of upstairs and downstairs lounges, separate dining area, dedicated activities co-coordinator and the home cooks fresh, nutritional and exciting food.

The care home has improved significantly since it was taken over by a new management team. The care staff are very friendly and give great support to the residents and treat them with the utmost dignity.
Overall, I am quite happy for my wife to continue to reside at Seahaven as she appears to be content
and enjoys staying there.

My cousin has been a resident at Seahaven for approx 13/14 years now. I have always been happy and satisfied with the care provided. She is always clean and tidy; she has regular showers daily. Staff pay good attention to her countenance and skin problems. Good liaison with GP and nurses as needed.
Her room is kept in clean and tidy condition. Staff always have appropriate answers to any queries I may have. They encourage independence as much as possible. I also notice good interaction/supervision with other residents too. Bottom line - good physical care provided.

Absolutely lovely staff, warm, considerate, attentive and genuine. I had to place my loved one here for two weeks and felt reassured from the very start with all the smiling faces. They ask many questions before accepting any new resident, even on a short-term basis, which l liked. Loved the atmosphere
saying "hi" to staff and residents walking around the building, which is old but warm and safe. One of the nurses has had her own Mum living there for years, which speaks volumes about the quality of care on offer. Would not hesitate to repeat the visit if necessary. No hesitation in giving this one ten out of ten!

I could not recommend Sehaven Care Home enough. My nana has been here for nearly a year, and I cannot believe the progress she has made. I can see how much she enjoys being there; she speaks very highly of the staff and her experience being there. The staff are fantastic; they are always happy to help

Could you tell us when the residents go out in the minibus (we were told the care home has one for residents)? And when they go across to the park, please. As my mother-in-law has been there nearly 12 months and we've not seen a minibus or heard about them going out, even in the back yard.

My sister has resided in Seahaven since August 2021. In that time, l have put my trust in everyone working there (on every level) and feel that some have become my friends. The care is excellent, and l love the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere from entering the front door. My sister has settled in well
and now classes it as home; this in itself gives the family peace of mind.

A few weeks ago my aunt had to have a stay in hospital. She was wasting away without the care she’d been used to at Seahaven. Fortunately, we were able to get her back to the home - but were not hopeful she would make it. The care and attention she received are nothing short of miraculous. She is now

Our relative has been at this home for a number of years, and we have been extremely happy with the care and dignity they have received. The management and staff have always been approachable and have addressed any issues we have had. The care staff are very attentive to the needs and varying requirements

We moved Dad into Seahaven during the pandemic to be closer to family. With myself living in Australia, I was unable to be part of the selection process. Over six months later, and at the first opportunity, I was able to get over to see Dad, his new home and to meet the staff. My first impression of
this facility and the lovely kind-hearted people who look after our precious father, with such care and dignity, was 5*. Dad too is always full of praise for all the staff and carers, the facility, meals, etc... In his words, "I'm in the best place I could possibly be in". In the short time I spent with Dad and the interaction I had with the staff and carers, I second that. All the staff were so accommodating during my visit, allowing me to spend as much time as I wanted with Dad, taking him out whenever we wanted, for as long as we wanted, nothing was a problem. Dad is happy, content and comfortable, and in that, I feel so much more relaxed with how things are.

I cannot fault the care my mam has received at Seahaven. The staff are warm, friendly and genuinely care about the residents. My mam is now receiving end of life care, and I am so pleased with how the staff are looking after her; she received excellent care and is treated with dignity and compassion.
I'm so pleased we chose Seahaven for my mam and will be forever grateful to the carers and staff for looking after my mam so well.

My husband has Alzheimer's, and I am his full-time carer. He visits Seahaven for respite on a regular basis. I love the fact that I can drop him off at Seahaven, and he will be well taken care of. Such a stress relief for me. They treat him as an individual with his own likes and dislikes, his own needs
and desires. I like the respite to be 2-3 days, and Seahaven is the one place I found who does the short breaks... most would only do 7-days. The décor is bright and airy, and there's always a pleasant atmosphere. The room is basic, but he isn't full-time, so it's to be expected. I just love the way they treat him. We now call his times there his 'holiday', and he goes and comes home happy.

My dad went into Seahaven on the 17th of July 2020, and I am very impressed by the caring, helpful staff who have settled him in very quickly. He came from the hospital and is self-isolating, but when I speak to him on the phone, he sounds very happy and content. The manager has been amazing every time

HI! my name is Toni and I am proud to be the manager here at Marine Park View, our lovely 30 bed residential care home in a lovely location in South Shields with Outstanding views and the fresh smell of the sea air!


I started my career over 26 years ago. I am excited to have joined the caring and leading group in 2023 and have felt overwhelmed by the support of staff, residents and our families. Our home is open and honest and I am passionate about working with residents and advocating for a person centred approach.We take all of our residents inputs and ideas very seriously and we are dedicated to demonstrating that we listen and care. We have lots of activities in the home and our residents help plan these. It is our priority to ensure our residents’ wishes are met so they can continue to live freely with the caring support that we provide. It is important that our residents know we care and listen.


We are excited to welcome you to Marine Park View and I look forward to meeting you!
