The cleanliness of the home was excellent.
The room was cleaned every day.
Beds changed regularly, changed nighties every day.
The food was excellent.
Staff absolutely fantastic.
The care was way above their call of duty to care, not just for the patients but for the family as well.
Would recommend
this place to everybody.
Their facilities for entertainment were excellent - fantastic lounge area, cinema room and dining room.
All the staff were courteous, helpful and very friendly, they could not do any more to help you.
Absolutely amazing team.

My mam has been in the care home now for about 1 month and has settled into her new surroundings.
This is mainly down to the care home staff and the way the care home is run and managed.

My father initially went into respite at the beginning of January 2018 (he is in Willow Gardens which adjoins Willow View). He has Vascular Dementia and was initially reticent about going in. However, after seeing the wonderful decor, the layout of the home with both an excellent lounge, cinema room
and wonderful staff he was more than happy to stay. He thinks his bed and shower room are fantastic.
His stay was only going to be for a couple of weeks but unfortunately, he will now have to stay there permanently. However, because all the staff are extremely friendly and professional (all of whom seem to really care and have been with the home for a quite a while) he is more than happy to stay and I can rest easy that he is in safe and secure hands. The staff are brilliant with him and treat him with dignity. He cannot stress how happy he feels there and how fantastic the food is.

Right from my first inspection tour of Willow View, I felt happy that it was the right place for my husband. Everyone was friendly and professional and that has remained ever since. It is lovely to know that the majority of staff are long serving and treat residents with care and compassion. I know
that my husband is in safe hands.
I particularly want to commend the home for the wonderful Christmas they have provided for both the residents and their families. Everything from the very good decorations, the food and the gifts for every resident. A wonderful atmosphere on Christmas Day.

My 80+yr old relative has Parkinson's, as well as sight and hearing difficulties. Her illness causes her to fall a lot and she has sustained many injuries, but despite this, she was most reluctant to move to a nursing home. In the year she has been a resident at Willow View, she has settled in and made
it her home, and she (and we, her family) have confidence that she is cared for in a really professional and personal way. All the staff appear to be long-term employees with a genuine affection for and interest in the residents.

I find all the staff are great with my dad. There is a great deal of 'what is best for his health'.
They deal with dad when he has a rant about what he can't do, having always been a very active man, always helping others, he has found it so difficult to be in this situation. The staff take it well
and dad couldn't be in a better place.

My mother is a resident in Willow View. I took her out for tea and I returned back to the home at 7.00. I take her straight into the lounge and the residents were all giggling and have a really nice time talking about the past. When they met their husbands, the assistant manager and the carers were
sat with them all. It was very uplifting to see it was a natural atmosphere. The manager and all the staff are a credit to this home and you should be very proud to have them working for you. Many thanks.

I called at the care home to take a new resident out. I know the resident as a friend of many years who goes to the church I attend.

I was impressed with the high standard of care I observed and found my friend well settled and happy in this home. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness

and kindness of the staff I met. Thank you for providing a good service.

From my first visit to assess Willow View as a potential care home for my father, I was struck by the level of friendliness, attention to detail, energy and interest of every single member of staff, from managers through to cook. Since my father has been a resident, this has only become even more evident.
I feel completely supported by the facility. Dad is improving daily and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in endorsing and recommending Willow View, without reservation.

Willow View after visiting many care homes is the home we wanted for my brother. On visiting the care home for the first time and given a tour by the manager, which not only covered bedrooms, dining rooms, etc. We were also showed kitchen and laundry rooms. All areas were bright and inviting, comfortable
and very clean. The staff were friendly, although my brother has only been there for a short time we know he is happy and so are we. Looking at what activities there are for the rest of the year, it is super.

Staff are very friendly and caring. Mum is well cared for. Staff are welcomed on entry to the home. Staff keep me informed about mum's health. Only negative comment I can make is that I would like more entertainment activities to hold mum's interest which I know is not easy.

First class care provision for my mum. Nothing is too much trouble for ALL of the staff. They are a happy group of staff. They work hard and maintain a very positive atmosphere throughout the home. Staff engage with the clients and support them in a range of activities, ranging from arts and crafts,
games and group singing, often bringing in professional musicians.

Current Review Score: 8.3 (8.255)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.3 (8.255) out of 10 for Willow View Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.3 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Willow View Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (21 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 21 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.255 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Willow View Care Home is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 77 registered maximum number of service users is 15.4. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 15.4 = 0.13
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
