Overall Experience

We think this home is outstanding in terms of the care and support offered to residents. The staff are friendly, patient and caring and are happy to go the extra mile for the residents. The food, all home-produced, is excellent and there is a very attractive garden for residents use. There are several lounges of different sizes and the overall feel is very homely and not at all institutional. I'd be happy to go there when my time comes!

Overall Experience

My wife has been here for about 2 years. about 6 weeks ago she took a turn for the worse and became bedfast. I was asked if I would like her to go into hospital or let them take care of her, I decided she would be happier where she was. They got her an electric bed and she is settled now. As I love just 5 mins away I can visit her every day.

Overall Experience
My father is at this residential home. Top marks go to the staff, they try to do their best for each resident and the individual needs. Recently they have done some improvements which has made the home tidier and they are always trying to make things easier for the residents. The only niggle I have is that sometimes there is no a lot for them to do. The telly is not always on and it can be so warm, that most of the residents are asleep!

As a health professional I would have to say Gillingreane comes out tops for me, because the staff care and that makes difference.
