Hartland house is absolutely brilliant. If I actually wrote what I actually think about how amazing this place is, it would not sound believable, so I will tone it down a bit.
My mum has lived at Hartland House for the last 3 years since we lost my father, so in all honesty at the start of a pandemic
and deeply grieving was not the ideal start to such a massive change in her life. I was terrified she would be unhappy with her choice to stay local rather than move closer to myself or my brother. It is a great testament to all the care staff, management and especially the kitchen staff that my mum is truly happy living with you. She absolutely loves her new life, she loves the food, the entertainment, the company, the pampering and the genuine affection she experiences from you all.
She talks about you and her life at Hartland with such enthusiasm every conversation we have involves at least one “ I absolutely couldn’t be anywhere better”.
This is a happy place.

We are all very happy with the care our mum receives at Hartland House Care Home. This is by far the best care home I have ever known: all of the staff are friendly and kind, the home itself is in outstanding condition at all times and the entertainment/enrichment provision is fantastic. I couldn't
recommend it highly enough.

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Hartland House for some time now and I feel she is very well cared for. The home is bright, clean and welcoming and all the staff I have had dealings with have been friendly and helpful. The staff take a pride in the home and it is beautifully appointed and maintained.
It would be lovely if it had just a little bit more garden, but they make good use of what they do have. There is a good variety of morning and afternoon activities nearly every day, and these include visiting musicians and people giving talks, as well as games and craft sessions. The range is wide and tries to include something for everyone. The home has a good, almost family, atmosphere and the care staff are lovely with my mother-in-law, having got to know her over a period of time. The staff keep very good records of my mother-in-law so that they are all aware of her needs and likes and dislikes, and they are able to answer my questions about her welfare.

Since my sister lost her husband, the best thing I did for her was to enrol her in Hartland House Care Home. The staff are all caring and very little change in staff which brings stability. My sister now has a circle of friends and is happier than she has been in a long time.
Nothing is too much trouble
for the staff and I would recommend Hartland House to any widow or widower as the best place to spend your final years.

My mother has settled so well in this amazing home. The family researched homes in the area in detail and all our friends and neighbours who knew the home were extremely positive about it. When she needed a home we were so lucky to get a fabulous room en-suite. She has now been in the home for six months
and we have nothing but praise for the management and staff.
The management staff are excellent. The staff are so friendly and take a great pride in their work. The food is fabulous! The housekeeping staff are thorough and it is spotless. The activities are varied, fun, and communicated clearly with a monthly planner. The home has recently been refurbished to a very high standard.
No home is perfect but I cannot rate Hartland House Care Home highly enough. Without question, I recommend Hartland House to you.

My father has been a resident of Hartland House Care Home for more than four years. Over this time he has become increasingly frail and less mobile, though mentally fully switched on. He has been treated with respect and dignity throughout.
The staff have been exemplary with many going beyond the call
of duty, which I have very much appreciated.

After some health issues, my mum decided that it was finally time to go into a care home.
Mum decided to move closer to myself and my wife and we began the search locally. When we visited Hartland House Care Home we instantly noticed its happy atmosphere, full of the sounds of chatting and laughter.
Mum has now been a resident for just over eighteen months and absolutely loves it, from the caring friendly staff to the delicious meals, she really feels at home. It is so good to see her enjoying life! I would thoroughly recommend Hartland House it really puts the care into care home!

Hartland House Care Home is a warm, caring and friendly place which is kept in top order and very clean throughout. There are plenty of staff both caring for the residents and keeping the house running smoothly. I never worry about my mum as I know that she is getting excellent care and she is very
happy and settled. She has regular care reviews to ensure that she is happy with her care and that her needs are being met. There is a good rapport with the staff and residents alike. The activities programmed each week are varied and everyone is included if they want to be. My mother-in-law lived here several years ago and I am happy to say that she loved it too.

I would highly recommend Hartland House from a relative's point of view. It is small enough to get a sense of a close community where residents' needs are known and people make friends with each other. There are lots of different activities organised on most weekday mornings and afternoons to help pass
the time and keep residents engaged. I haven't eaten the food but Mum enjoys it and likes the fact that there is always a choice and she can have a salad every day. Visitors are made to feel at home. I am always offered a hot drink and a very nice homemade biscuit if I'm visiting when they are served. Children are always made very welcome including visits from a local nursery. The staff balance a sense of professionalism with warmth and friendliness.

All the staff have been incredibly kind, patient and helpful to my old neighbour/friend for all the time she has been in the home, but more especially during the last month supporting her when a young relative died and more recently with a problem with her leg needing dressing care and hospital visits.
Everyone who comes into her room could not be better. I appreciate coffee and homemade biscuits when I call. It all creates a happy atmosphere. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable, there is a nice garden area, and I could not think of a better place to be.
