Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear you felt welcomed on arrival and supported by the team, that's the kind of care we always aim to offer. I'm sorry to hear your room was too hot and a fan wasn't provided. Just to clarify, our fans are available in communal areas, but we understand this was uncomfortable and will look at how we can better support guests in warmer weather. While we don't provide TVs in rooms as standard, personal items from home, including TVs, are always welcome to help make spaces feel more homely. I'm also sorry your final evening meal wasn't up to standard and that the call bell noise affected your rest. We know how important a peaceful environment is and will take this on board as we continue to improve. Thank you again for your honesty, your feedback is important to us. What they do well: washing, dressing, medication, meals, daily activities, cleaning, reporting of incidents.
What they don't do well:
If your relative requires day and night close supervision, assistance with orientation and mobility or has any dementia-associated behavioural problems then this is not the home for you. They simply do not have a sufficient number of experienced staff to cope and, in my opinion, your loved one would be better placed in a home with nurse support.

I started my career in care as a Health Care Assistant and have progressed and worked my way up through the Health and Social Care Industry, working across many services such as mental health, learning disability, children's services and dementia nursing, reaching the position of Area Manager.
In 2021, I joined Kirklands Care as their Operations Manager, overseeing all of their care homes. Kirklands Care is a family-run business that shares my own beliefs about care and that the residents' care is of utmost priority, and this, for me, comes first. My love of spending time with the residents shines through my work, hearing their stories and having the ability to make a difference in their lives. Every resident I care for is treated how I would expect my family member to be cared for, which for me is with love, dignity and respect. My role allows me to work with families to take the pressure off whilst allowing them to feel their loved one is in a suitable environment, is safe and cared for.
