Care of residents at Meadows Court is excellent.
Staff are kind and do a variety of activities which the residents really enjoy.
Residents are taken out into the community and functions are also organised at the home for their enjoyment.
Celebrations cover all faiths eg Christmas, Devali. The staff
fully involve themselves in order to give residents a lovely time.

I and my family have found the home to be very supportive of the residents. The staff take time and talk to the residents in a calm and friendly way; always with a smile on their face which is good to see. The residents are free to roam securely in the home or out into the garden. There are many lounges
with comfy chairs. Any concerns have been addressed when we have spoken with staff. The activities, what can I say. They are so varied each week. There is so much laughter and enjoyment from both residents and staff. The activities help the residents use many physical and intellectual skills, keeping them active and working their brains. Join them on social media to see what goes on. The food looks delicious with a varied menu each week catering for different needs and cultures. Residents are given choice to do what they want to do. A very welcoming home from the manager downwards. Staff always have a smile on their face.Thank you for looking after the residents with such dignity and care.
Reply from Kelly Doyle, Marketing and Employee Engagement Manager at Meadow's CourtThank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. We're pleased to know that the approach of our team, the freedom and security within the home and the variety of activities have made a positive difference. Supporting residents to stay active, engaged and able to make their own choices is something we value and it's reassuring to hear this has been reflected in everyday life within the home.
Thank you also for your kind words about the food and the wider team. Your appreciation means a great deal and we're grateful for the trust you place in us to care for your loved one with dignity and respect.

Absolutely wonderful caring polite professional staff. Above and beyond safe care provided. Staff always happy enthusiastic and wanting to please clients and family and friends. Great communication with everyone, kindness in abundance, compassion and empathy throughout my visits watching & listening.

On the occasions we have visited our brother, we have always received a friendly welcome from all staff, and we have seen many of the activities, which the residents seem to enjoy. I think this is to be highly commended. It's lovely to see the interactions between them, and the different places they
take them on a visit, to let them enjoy life outside the home. Each and every one of the staff seems dedicated to giving good service and care to its residents.

My mother has used St Georges for respite care when we are away and cannot provide a backstop beyond visiting carers. St Georges has been ideal. Close enough to her home that friends can visit and take her out, and very welcoming and caring.

St Georges is clean, and staff all attentive and conscientious

even when under pressure. The rooms she has had may not be particulalry large and the old house part is just that - old and narrow corridors. The lift was tired and could be recaltitrent! However, given the building issues the sense of overall care and lightness of touch was great. Others locally speak highly of St Georges too.
Reply from Kelly Doyle, Marketing and Employee Engagement Manager at St George's Residential HomeThank you for taking the time to review our home. We're really pleased to hear that St George's has been able to provide a welcoming, caring and supportive place for her while you're away and that she's been able to stay connected with friends and familiar surroundings.

We also appreciate your comments about the building. St George's is an older building and while that brings its own character, we're always mindful of where improvements are needed.

Above all, we're glad the warmth, attentiveness and dignity shown by our team stood out. That means a great deal to us, and we're grateful for your trust.

Such a wonderful care home!
I regularly visit Meadows Court Care Home for their events with my three little boys, and we absolutely love it every time. From the moment you walk in, you can see how well cared for and happy the residents are. The staff are amazing, they're so kind, caring, and really
get involved with the activities alongside the residents. The management team are just as hands on, which makes such a difference.
The atmosphere is always full of joy, laughter, and fun. My boys never want to leave when we visit! I also keep up with their social media page, and it's lovely to see how much they do every week for the residents. You can really tell how much heart and effort goes into everything they do. Meadows Court is a truly special place.

St George's is not a care home it is a home from home and I have seen on every visit that all of the residents are treated with kindness & respect. It's a lovely place to visit. The atmosphere is fun and they arrange so much for the residents to do such as animal visits, making things, gardening, activity
day & outings. I always laugh that he has more going on in his day than I do in mine. It's a wonderful place x

The home is great. Since she arrived her overall health and wellbeing has improved significantly. The home and all the staff are fantastic. They have gone out of their way to make her welcome and comfortable. The activities and entertainment are so good. On arrival she was very unwell - now she is very
well. As a point of improvement, it would be good if self funding residents are provided with full ensuite facilities, this is proportionate to the cost per month (in my opinion). Keep up the fantastic service.

On arrival I received a warm welcome and was given help with my wheelchair and walking frame. The room was tastefully decorated but uncomfortably hot. I asked for a fan but this was not forthcoming. Even with the window open I was perspiring. It would have been nice to have had a television but this
was denied. The food was adequate except for the last evening meal which was inedible. Overall, the caring personnel were attentive and friendly but were mostly rushed having to respond to the continuous attendance calls, the bell being located directly outside my door, which I could not close because of the heat.
Reply from Kelly Doyle, Marketing and Employee Engagement Manager at Kirklands Care HomeThank you so much for sharing your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear you felt welcomed on arrival and supported by the team, that's the kind of care we always aim to offer. I'm sorry to hear your room was too hot and a fan wasn't provided. Just to clarify, our fans are available in communal areas, but we understand this was uncomfortable and will look at how we can better support guests in warmer weather. While we don't provide TVs in rooms as standard, personal items from home, including TVs, are always welcome to help make spaces feel more homely. I'm also sorry your final evening meal wasn't up to standard and that the call bell noise affected your rest. We know how important a peaceful environment is and will take this on board as we continue to improve. Thank you again for your honesty, your feedback is important to us. My mother is happy. She does complain and her complaints are always dealt with. Her biggest complaint is about the food but she is full of praise for the carers. I like the manager because she will generally make time for you and answer your questions. My mother's room is pleasant and cleaned every
day .It is a little cluttered but that is mainly because she is immobile and cannot tidy things away herself. There are plenty of activities which seem like good fun and a range of trips out for those who wish to go. Mother enjoys the visits from the local vicar and since the church was a big part of her life this is greatly appreciated. She also values the visits from the hairdresser and pediatrice. Basically she enjoys the personal attention.

We'll continue to do what we can around the food to better suit her preferences where possible. It's lovely to hear she enjoys the visits from the vicar and the added extras like the hairdresser and podiatrist. Reply from Kelly Doyle, Marketing and Employee Engagement Manager at Highfield HouseThank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. We understand just how difficult this transition can be and we're truly grateful you took the time to share your experience, especially during such an emotional moment for your family. It's reassuring to know that you felt welcomed and supported from the moment you arrived. We want every family to feel cared for, just as much as the loved ones they're entrusting to us. Knowing that the home felt right for your mam, and that you felt treated with dignity and empathy, means a great deal to all of us here.

I visit my friend about 5 days per week, she has and is a very happy & contented lady in Highfield House, loves all staff and enjoys her food very much. I have known her 65 years and if she wasn't happy she would let everyone know.
