Absolutely fantastic place from what I've seen myself the day care staff are amazing they were red hot running about in this really hot weather, I envy them it's a very warm home never mind them doing their jobs in it my hat goes off to them and I've seen the cuddles the service users get when they are feeling abit upset I would recommend this place to anyone for the sake of the care staff for the quality of care they provide on a day to day basis well dome carers

Due to covid and being unable to visit until 2021 the carers were extremely caring to me with phone calls and settling my mom into Parklands.

Also mum gained weight due to varied diet of good lovely good meals.

My mother is a resident at Parklands Care Home. She is happy at the care home and never has a negative word to say about the care she receives. Myself and my family are happy with the care that my mother receives at Parklands, and we have no concerns.

Updates have become slightly better due to a Facebook page, however, I wouldn't recommend. Poor staffing and poor handover when Gran went to the hospital.

My mother has been staying at Parklands for 22 months and has settled in quite nicely, mam is not a big eater but the food always looks and smells great. My husband and l are over the moon that none of the residents has tested positive for covid, for which we think the staff deserves everyone's thanks. There have been a lot more activities over the past few months, which we learn about through the newsletters we receive. My mother still has her nightly gin and tonic which l know she has always enjoyed.

Due to the Covid restrictions, I cannot comment on a lot of the options. However, from what I have observed, the care appears to be satisfactory.

My Father-in-Law was in this care home, the care was a disgrace. I'm seeking legal action against the home, I can't say what it was for but the quality of care was disgraceful and is understaffed. I don't blame the staff, it's the manager who should be on top of things I transferred my father-in-law to another home which was 100 times better.

I had never had anything to do with care homes until my Mam had to go in. I'm very grateful for the care as it's 24 hours which is what my Mam requires. It gives me peace of mind knowing my Mam is cared for and I do feel the carers really do care for the residents.

My mother has been in residential care now for 18-months here. I know she joins in some of the activities as she used to love playing Bingo. The staff are very caring, and they are always very friendly to me whenever I visit. Nothing is any trouble for them. I really appreciate all the lovely staff that work here.

My mother has been a resident for over 2 years. She is aged 96 and was admitted from hospital after being deemed incapable of managing in her own home, where she lived alone. There were no near relatives living near enough to help. Despite initial difficulties, the care home staff were excellent and helped her settle. The staff were caring and supportive and found a room in which she felt comfortable. Without the help of the staff, I would not have been able to provide the safe and comfortable environment which she now enjoys.

My father has been a resident at Parklands for over two years. The care staff are all friendly, very patient and attentive and will go out of their way to attend to my father's needs. The accommodation is clean and safe and my father's bedroom is comfortable for him. My father has often commented on how he enjoys the food on offer. There are a series of activities available to all the residents, although my father tends not to participate. I know my father is well cared for, and the home is always very welcoming to visitors.

Our family member has been a respite resident since December 2018 and will now be staying permanently. The staff at Parklands have all shown themselves to be extremely caring, thoughtful and go above and beyond to meet the needs of residents. The staff took time to know our relatives likes and dislikes and make every effort to be kind and considerate at all times, we have witnessed this with our relative and other residents on every visit.

The care and staff attitude are very good.

The only 'extra' that would be beneficial to patients who are mobile would be a secure outdoor area where they could be unattended.

When Mum needed EMI care we found Parklands Care Home through comparing homes and CQC inspection reports on Carehome.co.uk.
The decision to hand over Mam's care to someone else was one of the hardest things our family had to do but after meeting the care home manager, our first impressions of the care home were very good. The atmosphere was calm and homely and we could see that everyone was well looked after.
The manager bent over backwards to make sure there would be a permanent bed available after the initial respite period to avoid another unsettling move for Mam.

All of the staff are fantastic - so friendly, caring and helpful. They take great care of Mam and also support and take care of Dad when he visits.

The home is quite alright. The only thing I disagreed with was the activities - there didn't seem to be much at first but there is now. The majority of staff are good but you can't expect everything to be perfect. I have no complaints.
