A fantastic place to come for Respite Care. All of the staff are all a joy to have looking after you. No disability is an obstacle to enable you to take part in the various outdoor/indoor activities. I came away with a real sense of having achieved things that had been previously deemed impossible.
The ‘No Limits’ slogan is very apt.

This was my first visit to Kielder and I enjoyed it very much. The staff were great. I really enjoyed the activities, some of them I didn't think I would do. It was lovely to meet new people and experience new things. I would love to come next year for the Christmas week. Thank you all.

The care provided is bespoke and of a very high standard. All carers are great. The food is homemade and the chefs very accommodating. Activities staff are very good but I would like access to the lake, swimming pool and forest sometimes more than availability permits.
It is for all ages and very inclusive.

Our daughter has been going to Calvert Trust Kielder for respite for a number of years. It's the only place where she can have so much fun, no matter how her disability affects her. She uses a wheelchair and, even when she couldn't walk at all, the staff enabled her to climb to the top of the climbing
wall, took her out in the canoe, gave her the thrill of the king-swing and the zip-wire. The staff work hard to ensure that all guests have a good time and have done their very best to ensure that our daughter's particular requirements were met wherever possible.
