Received a warm welcome from the staff on arrival to visit a friend. As it was tea time observed the staff with other residents. The junior staff (purple tops) ensured that all residents had what they wanted and attended to the ones that needed help. Nothing was too much trouble.

I can confidently recommend Erwhir. My mother was very well looked after during her almost six years at the home. Everything was conducted with respect and compassion and most importantly dignity towards the end of her life.
Overall, the care provided was excellent. The management was approachable
and understanding and Mum always felt safe and secure. The staff were very competent and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble.
High housekeeping standards meant Mum’s room was always clean and her clothes well maintained. The variety and choice of foods were excellent too. Activities and celebrations happen throughout the year and are well organised and varied and a lot of fun.
All in all, a warm and inviting place and well worth visiting if you sadly need to consider a care home for a parent or loved one.

My great Grandmother was a resident in the home for a while and the staff were absolutely brilliant. They treated her with great respect and care, and I truly can’t thank them enough. It’s a beautiful home and she truly enjoyed her stay there among all of the residents and staff. I can not recommend
this home enough for anyone looking into residential care.

Dad has been a resident since November last year.
Staff are friendly dad seems happy it feels like a home not an institution.

My stepdad has been a resident here for about 5 years and loves living there. My mum was also a resident until she passed away two years ago. During the month of December, Erwhir laid on many events for the residents, eg singers and quizzes; the Christmas decorations were beautiful again this year. It all helped to give the home a real Christmas atmosphere. Unfortunately, Mum was unable to come to us this year but the Christmas Dinner she
had was superb. I can honestly say that all the staff go out of their way to make sure that the residents are happy, contented, and well cared for.

My Uncle resides at Erwhir Care Home, he has been there for the past two years. I am very happy with the care he is receiving. He has a lovely bedroom and the home itself feels like a home from home. Every time I visit my Uncle, the staff are always very welcoming and nothing is a trouble to them. They
have a lot of entertainment at different times of the year, and especially at Christmas. I cannot fault the care he has had over the Covid period. The Manager and the staff are professional and dedicated to their work.
I would highly recommend Erwhir as a Care home.

During my visits, I am always impressed with the cleanliness of the home. It is always very clean and presentable. The staff are always helpful and will let me know how my Aunty is. The last year must have been particularly difficult for everyone concerned and I think the staff have coped very well.
I have never had any issues arranging visits during this difficult time for instance.

My Mum was spending her first Christmas in the home and was worried about how she’d be without her family around her. The staff were absolutely fantastic, making sure that she was wearing something nice and was enjoying herself. She was entertained by the staff all day so that she didn’t miss us too
much. The food was fantastic and when I got to speak to her later in the day she was really happy. It put our minds at rest as we too were concerned about how she’d be.

The last 15-months have been hard for us all, but throughout the whole time, we have been overwhelmed by the care and support given to our grandfather. The manager and staff at the home have gone that extra mile to ensure the safety of all the residents during the pandemic. We cannot thank them enough.

My sister has been a resident of Erwhir for ten years during which my wife and I have had nothing but respect for the staff, especially during the worrying covid peak period. Like other residents, we were unable to visit for nearly four months. We looked forward to seeing my sister but my wife was struck
down by a painful illness that has prevented the 80-mile round trip. The staff have continued to be extremely cooperative in keeping us in regular touch with my sister's condition by phone and we have nothing but thanks for their patience.

My mother was resident in the home. She had vascular dementia, some days, she was normal, while other days, she could be argumentative and not herself. No matter what she was like, the staff were wonderful with her. They always had a smile and were extremely patient with her and persuaded her to do
what she needed to do either going for a meal or to her room etc. I fully trusted the staff at the home to care for my mother. This trust was well-founded.

All staff were friendly, helpful, efficient and appeared very competent. The Covid safety procedures in place seemed both appropriate and adhered to, and at no time did I feel uncomfortable whilst on the property. She has been in this care home for the last ten years after suffering a stroke. She has been made very comfortable and all her needs have been taken care of. She always seems to be very happy, and we always have a sing-song together when we visit.

Erwhir has proved to be the best place that my mother could be during this most difficult time. Everyone has ensured that all the residents have remained safe and extremely well cared for, despite current difficulties.
All the staff have proved themselves to be competent and capable, and the individual
