Overall Experience

My mother has been resident at Erwhir Care Home for 9 months. The care team are friendly, patient and approachable. The Manager and Senior Carer have been flexible and responsive to my mother's care needs, including implementing additional awareness training for staff associated with my mother's health condition and by liaising with healthcare professionals in a proactive manner. Erwhir has a homely feel to it and my mother enjoys her meals. The variety of entertainment and activities are also appreciated.

The home makes an effort to entertain the residents.

It is a home environment where the staff are friendly and helpful. The home always smells clean. The residents seem happy, contented and well cared for. Communication is always food and guests are always welcome. The functions and activities are well organised and help to pass the time.

Overall Experience

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Erwhir for around 18 months. During this time she had been cared for extremely well. Staff are polite and professional and have formed an excellent rapport with her. When I visit there is often something organised for the residents. Last week a group from the chapel were visiting to sing carols. My mother-in-law had no hesitation in joining in with this activity. She always tells me about the lovely meals and snacks that are served daily. Many thanks!

Very caring staff.

My mother has been in three care homes (two of them council run) and by far this is the best.

Erwhir have made my mothers stay very comfortable, she is looked after remarkably well. The staff are excellent, they are friendly and very caring, nothing is too much trouble for them. I would most definitely recommend Erwhir to anyone who needed their care.

The joy of Erwhir is that it is a small, friendly home where everyone knows everyone else. All the staff who were there when my mum arrived three years ago and many of those who have arrived since are kind, caring and dedicated. The home also has a very good maintenance man who can turn his hand to anything and is great at fixing things that go wrong!

Well run and organised establishment. Mother has been a resident since May 2012. Very happy and content in this very homely atmosphere. Staff are always welcoming and cheerful. A pleasure to visit weekly, sometimes more often. She is well cared for and I don't have to worry about her care etc.

My relative has been a resident for over 12 months. She has been very content and well looked after with proper concern by the staff for all her welfare needs. She has a nice room which has been redecorated by the management within the last 3 months and she was involved in the colour scheme etc.
The food is of a good standard with no complaints. There is a good ambience in the home with all staff very approachable.

Would strongly recommend this home which is very well run by the registered manager.

Overall Experience

My aunt has been a resident at Erehir for several years and we, as a family, are happy with the care she receives on a daily basis. All members of staff are kind and endeavour to treat my aunt, who suffers from dementia, in a dignified and respectful manner. We are always made welcome and are able to discuss any matters with them. My aunt feels safe and at home in Erwhir.
