From the management
My mum truly loves living there, which brings an enormous sense of comfort to our family. It's not just a care home to her-it's her home. Knowing that she is safe, happy, and so well looked after has lifted a huge weight from my shoulders.
Thank you to everyone involved.
Sadly my mother also developed dementia and in 2021 it became clear that she was no longer able to live independently. It was a no-brainer to arrange for her also to become a Monkstone resident. My mother has been there since 2021 and has been well-cared for, well-fed and entertained. She is now 92, has advanced dementia but is contented and clearly feels safe and secure.
The staff are well-trained, caring and empathetic. There appears to be low turnover (several remember my father who died in 2017) which indicates a happy working environment. So glad we picked Monkstone
