Another wonderful experience visiting the home in December. They really go all out to make the place look great and the residents feel comfortable. The staff are super helpful and friendly and the place is spotless - My Grandma loves it there!!

My grandad is still currently living at Mayflower Care Home and we couldn't be happier with the care he receives. The staff are kind, attentive, and genuinely care about the residents' wellbeing. He is well looked after, comfortable, and most importantly, happy. The home has a lovely atmosphere and goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home. One standout feature is the pub they have built for residents - it's a fantastic idea and really helps create a sense of normality, community, and enjoyment.

As a family, we feel reassured knowing he is in such a supportive and well-run care home. I would highly recommend Mayflower Care Home to anyone looking for a caring and welcoming place for their loved one.

Visited a family member a couple of times over Christmas and New Year and just wanted to say how wonderful the many activities Mayflower put on for the residents over the festive season. It was really pleasing to see so much interaction between visitors, residents, staff and even the management! Can't speak more highly about Mayflower and would suggest this care home in an instant to anyone going through the tough decisions in life knowing older family members may need care in the future. Highly recommended.

After a recent visit to see my grandmother, I felt I had to leave a review of the care home she resides in.
I was overwhelmed with how friendly and professional the staff were, these members of staff really go above and beyond to make sure my grandmother is comfortable and happy here. They really are a credit to the organisation.
My wife and I were also very impressed with the cafe and the cinema room which I know my grandmother enjoys. She told me we have to have a look at the garden as it had recently been refurbished and it looked lovely, will look fantastic in the summer.
It really is a great care home and it's wonderful to see my grandmother happy there.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to Mayflower Care Home as they really are great at what they do.

I don't visit her enough but when I do, staff are friendly and she's always settled.
Other relatives say the same. The garden which has been redone is a really nice space and must have cost a few quid. Good to see the money being spent!

Last reviewed a few years ago so just updating whilst she's still with us. Still positive and she won't ever move.

I was drawn to Mayflower Care Home for my mother because of the warmth and compassion the manager showed when hearing our story. The home was clean, smelled lovely and every staff member she introduced us to was friendly and happy! Which reflected the manager's excellent leadership.
A few months on, Mum is thriving. She has put weight bac on, looks really well and seems truly content.

I would highly recommend this home for its caring atmosphere, beautiful surroundings and outstanding management.

I have been visiting Mayflower Care Home for a few years now to visit my friend. I've always found them very kind and welcoming and always very professional. Always clean and it's lovely to see the residents enjoying their meals and interacting. Mayflower looks fabulous this time of year with its beautiful Christmas decorations. My friend always enjoys joining in with the Christmas crafts they make and the entertainment of Christmas carols.

Visited a good friend last week, having previously had another friend resident here a few years back. Still, an exceptional level of professionalism and standards on my visit and my friend seemed to be well and truly looked after.

Great to know there are places we can rely on like this to take care of our friends and family to such a high standard.

As I don't live close by I don't get to go as often as I'd like so recently went again to see my Grandad. What puts my mind at ease is that my grandad is receiving the best care possible. He absolutely loves it there and the staff and entertainment programme are brilliant. Knowing he's getting the attention and care he needs really makes a difference. The place is spotless and I could not recommend it enough to anyone. Thanks again Mayflower, keep up the great work! 5 stars!

This care home is absolutely wonderful. The building and facilities are first class as is the attention of the staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they are kind and thoughtful. They range from lovely young people to older considerate folk. I would definitely recommend this care home to my friends and family.

I went to the home on the first day of indoor visiting and wow what a difference from 18 months ago when I visited indoors last. The gentleman I went to see was good to my mam years ago he looked extremely well clean happy and just full of smiles. The home had very high standards of hygiene which was pleasing to see and very reassuring given the current climate, and the laughter coming from the lounges was just so nice to hear I visited feeling a little anxious but come away more than happy with the care the gentleman is getting.

My dad has been here since September 2019 and in that time I have found he is happy here and very well looked after. The staff are all excellent and nothing is too much trouble, whatever we ask of them. It has been very hard this last 14 months for everyone including staff, but they have always been supportive not only to my dad but also to me and my family.

Mum has been a resident at the Mayflower since December 2019. During the three months prior to the pandemic as a family, we were always greeted with kindness. Mum was very happy during these three months and could not speak highly enough of the staff, room etc. Since March 2020 and the pandemic, the care to my mum has been of the highest. We have been able to chat with her on the telephone and lately, visits. During the last year, Mum's health has deteriorated, but as a family, we feel that she has and continues to be in very safe hands with the staff of the Mayflower.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our website, I hope that it answers any questions you may have but if you need anything else at all, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I understand that you may have reservations about your loved one going into a Care Home at this time, especially with the recent Pandemic. However, the sector has come a really long way over the last 18 months and we are in a much stronger position now and have a lot of protocol in place to keep our amazing residents happy and safe. All of our staff have been double vaccinated and we have weekly Covid testing in place where our staff carry out two LFD tests and one PCR test (Covid tests), every week. Daily temperature checks and screening questionnaires are also in place and we only allow essential visits to the Home (such as District Nurses, GP’s and other visiting professionals). All visitors have to undergo a Covid test as well as temperature checks and screening questions.

We are working very closely with the local council and Public Health Wales and we believe that we now have a very safe and happy Home for our residents. There is a lot more to read about regarding our anti Covid measures so please click on our Covid page to find out more. You will find information regarding our visiting policy, admission policy, PPE, Cleaning and other relevant information on here. Or if you would like to talk to me personally, please do not hesitate to call the Home and ask for myself.
