I can not thank each and everyone enough for them caring for my dad phillip they were just amazing with my dad had him smilling which was lovely to see him smile always asking did i need anythink while i stayed with my dad on is end of life all staff and carers were amazing best home ive everseen the love and happiness they give is 100 out of 100 will recommend them to anyone going to miss going to the home as its a happy place xx many regards kathleen

Generally, I would say the overall experience was very good. One problem was trying to understand what some carers were saying. I think more activities during daytime would be good. Some residents take the carers' attention for a long time, would be better, I think, if the carers spent more time visiting the quieter residents who do not 'demand' attention

Over the last 7½ yrs, Tregwilym Lodge has given our dad the most caring environment. The staff have given their all to make sure dad has been safe, and all his needs have been met. I would like to especially mention Maria + Stacey in the activities team, they have gone above and beyond to make dad's time at Tregwilym Lodge as enjoyable as possible. We as a family cannot thank them enough. Thankyou everyone from us all!

Following an atrocious experience at my father's previous care home, I was uncertain about what to expect from his new accommodation. However, Tregwilym Lodge has proven to be a significantly breath of fresh air. The quality of care provided to my father is outstanding; his needs are consistently met, and the staff exhibit professionalism and dedication in their interactions with my father and all residents. Hygiene standards are exemplary, and resident safety is clearly prioritised. Unlike at his former care home, my father now regularly participates in activities and thoroughly enjoys them. The activity organisers demonstrate a high level of commitment and zest to ensure each activity is filled with fun and stimulation. There are activities everyday and the organisers bring much joy in their approach of engaging residents and making the activities so much fun.

My lovely mum passed away last week, she lived in Tregqilym Lodge for the past year. I was able to be with my mum when she passed, which I am so grateful for. The staff were absolutely wonderful. I was able to stay with my mum for 2 days until she passed. I want to thank the nurses who do their job regardless of what hurdles get in the way, end of life care isn't always straight forward. The carers who were there to ensure my mum was comfortable, and cared for her once she passed. The staff who came in to say goodbye to mum and give hugs that meant a lot, making sure we had everything we needed from bedding, food and cups of tea, nothing was too much trouble. I visit the home regularly. My dad now lives there, and I appreciate each and every person who work there. They are faced with challenges everyday and it's not always easy. Thank you.

Mum has been at Tregwilym Lodge for a year. Although her dementia has worsened the care she is receiving is amazing. The staff attentive and the nurses regularly update me with mums care plan and any issues with her health. The staff are always very cheerful when we visit and mum has settled so well. I couldn't ask for more. Mum is getting the 24/7 care she needs.

When I was looking for a nursing home I went around a lot of homes (some I would not put a dog in). Then a dementia nurse mentioned Tregwilym Lodge and I have never looked back.

My dad was taken into hospital in August 2024 and due to complex health conditions, dad needed to be transferred to a nursing home. Dad was taken to Tregwilym Lodge Nursing Home in October 2024 and sadly passed away in August 2025. All I can say is all the staff at Tregwilym Lodge have been fantastic in their care for dad, they take time for the family and the resident. I slept better at night knowing dad was so well cared for. The home always clean and tidy. They have their own hairdresser. The activities team are always busy organising different activities with the residents. The coffee shop is a lovely addition. The staff are always helpful and friendly

General care overall seems to have been good. The activities team are so friendly and the office staff have been helpful. On the whole, the carers have been very good, especially given the way they are treated by some patients. The rooms are ok but in all fairness, I can see improvements are ongoing at the home so I think things are improving constantly.

Overall no major issues with Tregwilym Lodge. The carers and management are very good and helpful regarding any medical and admin issues. The food standard is good. If I have an issue, it is with the care of laundry.

Ticked excellent in every box, that's what you all are. Above and beyond. Your care and respect to my husband was first class, also the kindness at all times to me and my family. I can't thank you enough. Kind regards.

My mother has been at Tregwilym Lodge now for just over a year. When she came her right leg was very ulcerated with a deep open wound. The team treated it with a mixture of some compression dressings etc. and dressing and cleaning. Through their continuous hard work Mum's leg is now completely better, which it had not for about six years. Thank you all, you've done an amazing job, and Mom is now out of pain. Many thanks.

Every time I visit, planned or unplanned, the home is always very clean and welcoming. Regular activities are planned to stimulate and motivate residents and to enable them. My Dad is always treated with care, understanding and compassion and his 1:1 nursing and emotional needs are met. All staff are really engaged and enthusiastic to provide a lovely atmosphere. Communication via social media and Newsletters is regular and re-assuring. Management have always responded promptly to any queries. Residents are treated as individuals and they are respected as people. I'm always made to feel welcome and actually part of the team when invited on a walk with Dad and other residents. Outings are always in small numbers to provide fun, care and support. Living far away, I really feel Dad is safe, cared for happy as is possible in a situation where he needs 24-hour care. From the laundry staff, to carers, nursing staff, activities co-ordinators and office/management, Tregwilym Lodge goes beyond. Thank you.

My husband was accepted into this home after months in hospital for nursing care. He deteriorated and lost weight in hospital. Within days of being in the home, my husband is getting stronger physically and mentally. He is being washed and dressed daily instead of being in pyjamas. He is responding to staff and smiling. He has started eating without help and enjoying his food. The residents are constantly being given hot and cold drinks and biscuits. There is a high level of caring and residents are always clean and tidy.

I have had a very positive experience dealing with the staff at Tregwilym Lodge. Very nice people, very friendly and caring.

Moving my mother to the home was the right decision.

The staff - from the manager, entertainment team, carers, hospitality and anyone else, always gives 110%. My mother receives care above and beyond my expectations. 24-hour access, constant communication - all problems, big or small are dealt with in a quick time scale. Caring, considerate and highly efficient team. In my opinion, no improvement needed as all perfect.

Happy place but needs updating in some rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. More useful activities required.
