Mum settled really quickly into this lovely home. It is clean, friendly, comfortable and has very good facilities. The improvement in mum is massive! Her health and well-being is a joy to see, she is now back to her happy, cheerful self. The staff are so welcoming to all the families and visitors that visit their loved ones. The knowledge and experience the staff hold is outstanding. Thank you all so much for the excellent work you all do!

Excellent service provided from first contact to discharge I felt very well catered for and never once worried about mum which was great. The staff are fantastic, communication great. An extremely caring environment. Many thanks, mum will be hopefully able to go in for respite care in the future depending on how things go now - she's back home.

From the initial review and assessment, plus throughout my mum's two-week stay at the care home, an absolutely excellent level of service was provided. This included attention to detail, provision of specific resident's requirements and overall, very genuine and consistent care provided. Would thoroughly recommend this care home and staff.

My mother had already used the home several times for respite care so it was her first choice when she decided she needed something more permanent with her reduced mobility. She was admitted in June 2021 when we were all still required to use full PPE. Mum loves Prestemede Care Home and the staff. It’s difficult to comment on activities as, of course, during the pandemic they haven’t been able to have visitors but, to be honest, as long as she’s able to have her hair done once a week and watch her favourite quiz shows, she feels it’s a home from home!

Excellent service, very friendly, extremely helpful. Top rate care. Absolute diamonds, couldn’t ask for a better care home. Always on hand when needed, very clean, excellent food. Any problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently.

I can't speak highly enough of the care and kindness shown to my partner's mother by all the staff. It is the nearest thing to living at home.

My first experience of being a resident I found the staff caring, understanding and always helpful in any way. Good sense of humour. The accommodation was excellent, clean, tidy and comfortable. The food was varied with alternatives and very acceptable accommodating dietary needs. Overall I found no faults I would always return if circumstances needed.

Prestmede Care Home is the best care home I have ever visited. Staff are friendly, caring and considerate to those in care and visitors alike.

Food and cleanliness are of a high standard, as is personal hygiene of those in care.

My mother is approaching her 100th birthday and despite the difficulties of advanced age, appreciates the high quality of care she has received at Prestmede.

I would like to place on record my recommendation for this home.

My friend has been in this home since 2013, firstly as a paying customer and latterly as a resident funded by the local authority. The care that she has received has been excellent, the staff are the most friendly bunch of people I have ever met and nothing is too much trouble for them. I live quite a way away from the home and can only visit every couple of weeks but can phone and talk to them at any time to see how things are.

Lately, my friend hasn't been so well but the staff are willing to do anything for her, and they appear to genuinely care for her. It is lovely to see the relationship they have with her.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone who needs care.

My husband was apprehensive about going into care for my respite. When I got back, he had absolutely loved it and the carers. They had looked after him really well. I'm sure he would have stayed there.

I strongly suspect, that the fact that all the staff are local may well be the primary reason for the standard of care. "Local ownership" and a strong sense of duty. Above all the care is "homely".

The staff are always attentive, polite and demonstrate a very caring attitude to all residents. As we have to travel a considerable way we arrive at various times and always unannounced. My grandmother is always well presented and seems very happy about her care and life in general. All staff are well received by my grandmother and they are always able to answer any questions about my grandmother when asked. The environment throughout the home is clean and welcoming. I feel we were very lucky to have found such a wonderful home for my grandmother to live out the rest of her years.
