There aren't too many reviews that remind me of why we set out in this journey of providing care for vulnerable people and support for relatives. You described exactly how I felt when I was looking for care for my mother. We couldn't find what we were looking for and my wife who is a retired nurse set out to make a difference. I hope we have, it is a struggle at times but everyone mucks in and helps and that's what counts. We will be making improvements to various areas of the home soon and trust we can count on your input.

It has been an exceptionally difficult time since your mum came to live at Rashielee, the worry of how Covid-19 would affect all who lived here has been an enormous strain on relatives who were not allowed to visit. We have made it through with strict controls and staff who went to exceptional lengths to keep everyone safe. We will soon be catching up on some areas that need attention in the home. Thank you for your review which is lovely. The staff do their best to ensure that their 'family' here are cared for, safe, secure and importantly enjoying this chapter in their life. Chef does his best to make sure the food is sourced locally, is fresh and nourishing, he is constantly seeking to please his customers and will go out of his way to make sure that the meals presented meet expectations. Everyone is doing their utmost to keep the virus out of the building and everyone inside safe. Letting you know what is happening by direct contact and social media gives you a degree of comfort knowing that all is well whilst we are in 'lockdown'.

Thank you for your review. It gives immense satisfaction to know that you are pleased with the work that our staff do. They have every reason to be proud of that, as I am of them. The last thing anyone should consider is being admitted into long term care, sadly for a lot of people, it is inevitable. It is our job to make sure that this is a new chapter in their life, to be enjoyed as much as all the previous chapters, with a bit of help and TLC. The staff are highly motivated with a true sense of purpose and will do everything possible to keep their new 'family' safe, secure, cared for and happy.

Irvine and Christine Watson formed LittleInch Ltd in 1988, opened LittleInch Care Home on 15th January 1990 and Erskine Care Centre on 1st April 2005. Previously, Irvine worked as a director of a Glasgow civil engineering company and as a senior manager with AMEC, the multinational civil engineering, building and mechanical services company. He completed an MBA at the University of Glasgow in 1993 and presently manages the business. Irvine and Christine have three children Andrew, Ian and Katie plus seven young grandsons.

Kirsty has dedicated over 20 years to nursing in care homes. A local lass, she joined Rashielee in 2007 as nurse, progressing to deputy manager and then manager. Passionate about social care nursing, she completed the Queen’s Nurse Leadership Development Programme in 2023, earning the prestigious Queen’s Nurse title. That same year, she won the Leadership Award at the Scottish Care Home Awards.
When not in Rashielee, Kirsty cherishes time with her family but also enjoys the solitude of long walks in the hills. An avid reader, she finds comfort in quiet evenings, curled up with a good book and her cat.

Jennifer, a local girl and familiar face in Erskine, began working for Littleinch Ltd as a care assistant in our Inchinnan Home before moving to Rashielee as nurse and then deputy manager. Jennifer has always enjoyed supporting older adults, both in the care home and NHS - a passionate advocate for person centred care. She attained 'Nurse of the Year' in 2022 at the Scottish Care Home Awards, a career highlight. Jennifer is a proud mother of two daughters who are following her lead, pursuing careers in health and social care. When not in Rashieee, Jennifer enjoys going to the gym and movie nights with her fiancée.
