I saw my relative on a Sunday morning in August. We decided to visit on the spur of the moment, and I was delighted my relative was sitting with a drink, calmly watching his TV. The thing that singles out Stanely Park is the quality of care. Care is what is needed, and Stanely Park staff deliver it. My relative has now been in the home for four years, and we are happy with the service provided by the committed team at Stanely Park. Given all the challenges of lockdown and Covid, they always seem to put the residents first.

My mum first stayed at Stanely Park for respite, and thankfully, we managed to find a place for her here when she needed 24-hour care, she has been a resident since Nov 19. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for her. The food is delicious and entertainment fabulous too. One lady keeps Mum going with her knitting. Her room is not the biggest but is adequate for her needs, and the staff have kept all the residents safe through Covid too. Would definitely recommend this care home.

My mum moved to Stanely Park in February 2022, and the whole experience has exceeded my expectations. I was obviously very anxious prior to Mum going into care, and my anxiety levels reduced very quickly, which is down to the obvious care and commitment the staff have towards my mum and all the residents. The staff are amazing and always treat my mum with dignity and kindness. I have noticed a marked difference in her as she is receiving lots of interaction from the staff and a good selection of activities.
There is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the home at all times, with good open communication from management and carers. My mum's room and the communal areas are always kept very clean.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Stanely Park!

My dad has been a resident here for over 18-months. Despite all the necessary restrictions on visiting because of Covid, I have always had good access to visit him, and the staff have taken very good care of him. He has complex needs, and everyone seems to be well aware of these, which is reassuring.

I also find the staff and management team very approachable, which is helpful at this stage in his care.

There has been no doubt of how difficult, worrying, and challenging the past 2 years has been for our residents. Since my mum moved in, in December 2020, I couldn’t be happier with my mum's care. My mum is so happy and so well looked after, and the staff are fantastic. My mum's room is always spotless, and the cleanliness within Stanely Park is second to none. The activities are great, and the residents always have plenty to keep them busy, and we get to see what they are up to with pictures and live videos, which are great, and everyone is always happy. We get a weekly update from management, and they are always around should you need to speak to them.

My mum has been a resident here now for nearly 5-years, and she is very happy with the care she receives.
Mum has commented things like: “I like the way the staff handle me”, “the staff are so nice”, “I am very happy here. You chose well”.
Before Mum moved to Stanely Park, we had been through quite a trying time, and I didn’t expect she would settle and adapt as quickly as she did (it took about 6-weeks before she started joining in with activities etc).
Her experience at Stanley Park is due to the kindness and commitment of all staff; carers, domestics, catering, site staff, admin, activities and manager(s) and everyone else who is part of this bigger “family”.

Stanely Park welcomes input from relatives and next of kin to help and enable residents to have the best of experiences possible.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this very positive review of the care your Mum has had. I am delighted that our aim to provide and deliver person-centred care, including involvement from those who are important to our residents has been your and your Mum's experience. I will make sure the manager and her staff see this, as I know how much it will mean to them.

My mother was quite unsettled at the beginning, but the staff were patient and kind, and now she is much more settled. The room is bright and cheerful, and the handyman has displayed all her picture frames. She tells us that she has plenty of things to do with the lady doing activities, and she enjoys all her meals. The home is very clean, and the staff are cheerful and will explain any queries you have.

My aunts have been residents here for 2 and 1 years. In that time I have been consistently and repeatedly impressed by the helpful and caring attitudes from all the staff I have met. I mention this first as I firmly believe that it is the quality of the staff that determines the quality of the care home.

Both my aunts are settled and healthy. They are encouraged to be mobile and to try new things regularly and we are kept up to date via the excellent and appropriately privacy controlled social media group. We couldn't be happier.

My Gran has now been at Stanely for almost 2 years and has settled well.
As a family, we like to engage in my Gran's care and along with staff maintain her independence as much as possible. The management and staff are approachable and welcoming.
My Gran's general health and well being has improved considerably since becoming a resident, having more social interaction, less anxiety and eating lovely home-cooked meals.
There are a variety of activities available for residents, of which my Gran takes part in most of them, and lots of day trips out in better weather.

The only thing I would say could be improved on is the access to outside space. The inside of home has recently been refurbished and looks amazing but the garden really needs some work. The access to rear for residents is steep and not easily accessible, which is such a shame. The area at the entrance is totally flat and there are some benches but unfortunately looks onto car park, hopefully, this will be looked at in future.

My sister became a resident in August 2018 and I have nothing but praise for the way the home is run. Everybody is so helpful and cheery and keep us informed about how my sister has settled in. The place is spotlessly clean and I can relax knowing my sister is well looked after and safe.

My mother has been in Stanely Park for 10 months. She did take some time to settle but the staff made her feel very welcome and recognised quite quickly that she is a very independent woman, and as a result have allowed her to manage parts of her care on her own and make her own decisions. She is now very settled, has made friends and enjoys the varied activities and outings that the home provide. At 94 years of age, she now has a good quality of life and family know she is well cared for.

My mum came into Stanely Park in December and it has exceeded my expectations. My mum is happy again! When I enter the care home I quite often find her laughing. She is like her old self! The atmosphere in the home is warm and welcoming. The carers are all as you would want them to be i.e., friendly and caring and genuinely appear to love their work. The activities coordinator is amazing, providing varied and enjoyable activities twice daily. Management and clerical staff are approachable and helpful. No complaints at all!

My father recently died at Stanely Park after 3 and a half years of first class care.
Staffing: very good, the core staff have remained steady. The senior staff are all on top of their job and know when to make contact. Good communication
Rooms: Small, so cannot be cluttered with too much furniture. Clean and tidy.
Public Areas: All bright and welcoming. The front garden is overgrown and lets the place down- investment needed here.

The activities: every effort is made to ensure that those who are able are kept active. Activities occur pretty much every day and sometimes in the evenings too when care staff do their own thing. My father's last years were characterised by contentment and participation in activities and social events. In the days leading up to his death, we felt we were the sole focus of attention in the care home and that meant so much to us. Have no doubt readers, your loved one will be content here and live an active and fulfilling life thanks to the exceptional staff.
