What a wonderful home for my father to finish the last chapter of his life , I can not thank the staff enough for the care my father receives, it is by far the best run home I have seen , the care , thoughtfulness and attention my father receives, makes my families life so much easier just knowing
he is looked after 24 hrs a day , every staff member is amazing and my family can't thank them enough .

My sister was a resident in Summerlee House for around 4 years. She received excellent care throughout her stay there. Not only did the staff attend to her medical needs but also treated her with loving care, kindness and respect. The end of life care that she received was caring, dignified and professional.
We as a family we experienced great kindness and compassion at a difficult time.

My aunt was a resident in the Home for 7 years until she sadly died 12 months ago. She suffered from dementia. When she entered Summerlee she was still very active and greatly enjoyed dancing, listening to music, watching films, and getting her hair done (every week). She survived COVID-19 twice due
to the wonderful care and attention of all of the staff. The staff touched her heart and she regarded them all as close friends. I think in turn my aunt touched their hearts as well. The care love and affection displayed by three members of staff in particular, indeed all of the ladies was truly exceptional. A certain family (one of them in particular) was very hands-on in providing personal care for the residents. A lovely warm and friendly environment and a truly exceptional Care Home.

Summerlee is truly a home-from-home for every resident in care. The attention given to every individual resident is first class no matter the individual's health issues everyone is treated the same. The management and staff are highly trained with most visitors on first-named terms. The staff works
very hard to ensure the residents are all happy and content.
The care home owners also spend time with the residents getting to know them and their individual needs and are open and friendly to all visitors.
My Mum was a resident in the home twelve years ago and I have had three Aunts as residents since; my Mum loved her time in the home as did one of my aunts who has since passed. I have two aunts in the home just now, who I visit as often as I can. When I do visit the atmosphere is always one of happiness and joy and I love mixing with all the residents and staff, I believe Summerlee Care Home should be a blueprint as to how every care home should be run.

My mum and her twin sister were in Sumerlee House for 6 years this is a terrific care home staff and management were superb there was always activities and special days for residents theme days Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day, Easter, Halloween, and many more. Everyone was so helpful with any issues
that may occur during covid times I couldn't have been more grateful video calls phone calls always contacting this care home surpassed all my expectations in every way.

We have had family members living in the care home from as far back as twelve years ago starting with my mother-in-law, we now have two aunts living there and wouldn't have dreamt of going anywhere else. From the minute you walk in the door, you are welcomed by office staff, restaurant girls all staff
from cleaning to caregivers nurses managers, and coordinators, and more importantly the family owners in my opinion it's first-class care home second to none.

Our mum moved into Summerlee just over a year ago. Everyone at Summerlee has been amazing with her, with us, every day since. We know that she is safe and very well looked after, and she feels safe and looked after. The place itself is lovely and decorated for every event throughout the year. The cafe
is excellent and provides a lovely place for visits. There are plenty of things happening, yoga, movies, singing, dancing, trips out, arts and crafts. All of our lives have improved because of this fabulous place.

My sister had been a resident here for 4 years. She thrived in here with the support and care from all the staff, there was always some form of entertainment every week, and my sister loved them all. From the hairdresser to the amazing care staff, every single one of them took time to make my sister
feel at home, and that made Summerlee stand out from other care homes.
My sister was unwell for a few months before she passed this year and the support and care that my sister was shown in her last few weeks was second to none by every member of staff. We have fond memories when we, as a family, look back on the years that my sister had at Summerlee. We would like to thank everyone, from the chef to the carers to the nursing staff and to the senior management for everything they did for our sister. Many many thanks.

Our experience of Summerlee House cannot be faulted in any way.
At Summerlee she has had a new lease of life - from being almost bedridden she has been taking part in regular activities and always looks like care has been taken to dress her nicely. She's well-fed and has put on weight. And even gets
the odd glass of wine!
The team all know her (and me) by name. On arrival she had a big welcome which was just lovely - it felt like a celebration.
When she has been under the weather the team has kept me informed of how she is. All medical and pharmacy needs were taken care of which made that aspect so easy. She even has new glasses!
The internal facilities have a high level of cleanliness but are not clinical. The main thing that stands out though are the staff and how they treat my mum with respect, push her to stay active and engaged, and make her smile!
She really seems 10 years younger and we all feel genuinely lucky she's at Summerlee.

Mum moved into Summerlee in April this year. I cannot praise all the staff enough for helping Mum to settle in as well as she can. Management, support workers, nurses, office staff, cafe staff, activities coordinators, cleaners, hairdressers, handymen, cooks, laundry staff etc have welcomed Mum and
all our family to the Home. From what has been a very difficult year, they have made the process that bit easier. Thank you for everything and continue to keep up the excellent standards of care. We, as a family, know Mum is so well cared for.

Great to see staff enjoying being in their work, singing and dancing to the Christmas music with the residents. Families getting made cups of tea with cakes even when the cafe closed for parties. Going over and beyond what is asked of them. Taking their time and explaining to the residents when they
