My husband had a fall could not be moved in case he had broken something an ambulance was alerted and staff made sure he was comfy till it came which was 19 hours later. That was a disgrace. My husband is 92 years old. Staff accompanied him to hospital till I was able to get there. I am 89 years old.
Staff were excellent, and they always keep me informed.

My aunt has been in Rawyards House for about 3 years. She is well looked after, treated with dignity and respect.
If there has been any issues the staff are quick to deal with this.
The staff are friendly and helpful, and all know their job roll and do it well.
My aunt has been happy and settled
since the first day in Rawyards.
Can not fault it at al.

I looked after my husband for 8 years through Alzheimer's. I was reluctant to place him in a care Home but I just couldn't cope anymore. The first few weeks look i was riddled with anxiety (and guilt). I was phoning morning, and night to make sure he was Ok and I thought I must be a nuisance, however
at no time was I made to feel like that. The staff in Beech unit have been so caring and supportive to me I cant praise them enough. My husband is well looked after and cared for which is all I wanted. Things are easier now but that is thanks to the staff.

My father-in-law has just went into the care home (1 week). So far all the staff we have encountered have been caring and friendly. They have answered all our questions and been reassuring. The environment is clean and tidy.

I have been impressed by the professionalism of all the staff working in Rawyards House, everyone calls my mother by her preferred name and is caring and kind. As my mother's only relative I feel reassured that she is safe and her individual needs are attended to whilst maintaining her independence.
The relative's meetings are very informative and suggestions and requests made by relatives are taken on board. Friends who visit appreciate that they attend social activities such as concerts in Rawyards.

My family members are being treated so well under all staff. Their rooms are very clean and comfy. They are happy in their new environment with all needs provided for. They enjoy all the activities. I am writing this review regarding my mother. I am her daughter and I can't fault the staff who care for my mum. The one complaint I have is the menu. This is not a restaurant or hotel doing fancy meals, it is a care home, so do meals according to their age and what they would like.

I am concerned about a lack of contact by management regarding falls/slip hazard. Not resolved and no reply from emails sent weeks ago. I am unhappy with the lack of communication regarding a matter that should not have occurred in the first place.

Yes, very happy with the care my brother-in-law receives thank you. He settled in well and got to know the staff and some residents. All his care needs are met. They have a great deal of patience for my brother-in-law as he can be challenging at times.

Mum has been resident in the home for over 1 year and has had excellent care in both medical and personal and, in particular, the senior staff nurse on Ash Unit as she keeps me informed of any issues and recommendations for Mum's care.
Mum is happy with the care given by the care staff and happy with
food also.
There are a few areas that could be improved eg: new carpet and wifi facilities - but all in all, all good.
Again, thank you to the nursery, care staff, entertainment and office staff.

My wife has been in care in Rawyards for 8 years and during this time the care and support from both the Staff and Management has been excellent. During the time that my wife has been resident there has been 4 or 5 different managers with varying levels of success.
Thankfully the manager arrived in
2019 and during this time the service of the home has been improved dramatically.
COVID19 : Since March 2020 the Manager has orchestrated a very efficient and extremely successful plan of action during this very difficult period, which has included the introduction of a video call system to residents and also extremely good dialogue with relatives to provide regular updates regarding the ongoing situation via conference calls and e-mails.
To back up the successful way in which Rawyards has been run there has been no positive cases of the virus which is a wonderful achievement when compared against the overall situation with all care homes across Scotland.

Having worked my way from Healthcare Assistant, Registered Nurse to Deputy Manager, I finally took the step to becoming a general Home Manager. I feel immensely proud to lead a magnificent and dedicated team of staff all of whom offer outstanding individualised care for our residents.
