My mother only spent just over two weeks at Rawyards for palliative care. During this time, she was extremely well looked after and the staff were all extremely supportive, both with Mum and with us.

All the staff were amazing with mum and the care given was of the highest standard.
Rawyards is clean, tidy and respectful. Most of the staff are willing to go above and beyond for all patients and residents.

I have found the care home a satisfying outcome in so far my husband's admission is only weeks. The staff are trained in all aspects of care, namely looking at him as an individual with their own special needs. Gratifying for me as my husband is blind and therefore requires extra attention. The staff
are friendly towards visitors, recognising you by name. I particularly noted seating, where the residents are well placed, not in a circle. The senior staff answers any questions re health and how he is settling into the home.

The staff are very keen and helpful. They made it very easy for my mum to settle in. I do feel sometimes there could be more staff on as the staff are often run off their feet.
The patients are very well looked after. We are always kept up to date with how my mum is. All staff do excellent.

Both my parents are residents in the care home. My mum has Parkinson's, dementia and poor mobility. My father has terminal cancer and wanted to spend the time he has left with my mum. I couldn't thank the staff enough at Cedar unit for the care given to both my parents. The palliative care my dad is
receiving is outstanding. Also, the support given to myself at these difficult times, you all have been amazing. Thank you so much.

Home is always clean and tidy, homely and welcoming, warm and comfortable. The staff are friendly, always willing to help, have outdoor activities and day outings for patients. Could do with more indoor activities on daily. Food is acceptable. In general, having no workings with any other care home,
I think the overall standard is good and my mum is happy where she is.
As for value for money, my mum pays out all her hard-earned savings.

Mother has been resident in Ash unit for approximately 1 year 3 months. In this time my mother has been well cared for, staff are extremely approachable and helpful, nothing is a problem to them. I would have no hesitation in recommending this service. (Highly recommended).

In my opinion Rawyards Care Home is a very homely place, the staff and residents all seem to be happy. The staff are very helpful to residents and family, nothing is a bother to them. I am glad we chose Rawyards Care Home for my husband.

Job Title: Registered Home Manager Joined: 2020

My name is Fiona Cannon and I am the proud Home Manager of Rawyards House Care Home. Having worked my way from Healthcare Assistant, Registered Nurse to Deputy Manager, I finally took the step to becoming a general Home Manager. I feel immensely proud to lead a magnificent and dedicated team of staff all of whom offer outstanding individualised care for our residents. I have a passion and enthusiasm for helping individuals to achieve their best possible level of health and wellbeing.
