The staff are all very friendly, the rooms are clean. There are plenty of activities for the residents. The food is amazing, all made on site - fresh. Pets are allowed in.
I'm very pleased with the care my father-in-law is getting.

In general the care home is excellent. The residents are well looked after with plenty of activities to keep them engaged. My dad is happy here and we are confident that he is being cared for. The only negative is sometimes had to ask for things to be done too many times.

Reply from Grace Sloan, Home Manager at Abbeydale CourtThank you for your review. Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My dad has been a resident on Firwood at Farnworth Care Home since January 2025. During this time, the care that he has received has been exemplary from all of the staff. My dad says how lovely and caring they all are; each member of staff that deals with him has formed a relationship with him, and
that makes him feel valued. We are also really impressed with all of the activities that are available to residents every day. We also can't speak highly enough of James, the manager who too is very amenable.
Reply from Jayms Bell, Home Manager at Farnworth Care HomeThank you so very kindly for your beautiful review of the care your Dad receives at Farnworth Care Home. Abbeydale meets all my mother's needs and more. It's a beautiful home and everybody looks after her with care and respect. Food is exceptional and we get to sample some at taster nights. Management, carers and activitiy coordinators all do an amazing job. It's a well run care home and everybody has
a role to play, and they all do it so well. Well done Abbeydale, so happy my mum's a resident in your home.

Excellent facility , great level of engagement with my mum, lots of great services so mum thinks she is in a rehab hotel which helps with her anxiety over not being in a care home. Totally recommend, seriously don't think mum would still be with us if she wasn't at Abbeydale.
Staff are so helpful and
patient , lots of good humour and camaraderie. Nursing care is excellent and I can sleep at night knowing mum is looked after.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Dad has been in Heron Hill since the beginning of February and we are now in April. He has settled well . The Staff are absolutely fantastic with each patient that I have seen. They come and and tend to their every need. There are lots of activities for the residents to do, from Gardening to Arts and
Crafts . There is a nice garden for them to sit outside and get some lovely fresh air. Also the home has its own mini bus and some of the residents go for a little ride out to places and they really have a great time. Nothing is too much trouble. If your feeling anxious about anything just go and talk to one of the Senior carers and the will help sort out the problem. If your Relative wants to go out with you for a little ride that's not a problem either you can just take them for a little ride . The patients all have their own bedroom, with a toilet and sink en-suite. A buzzer for emergency if need be. My Dad is very happy there . I visit 3/4 times a week. .

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Farnworth Care home and its staff are absolutely fabulous!!! The staff are extremely professional, kind, caring, and often go above and beyond.
The home itself is very modern, bright, clean, tidy and safe; it has a lovely warm, welcoming atmosphere and feels very homely, and the staff make it a fun
and lively place to be, but equally if you want peace and tranquility this is also accommodated for.
The dining room is also lovely, it's like a restaurant. It's very clean and the staff are very organised, and are very attentive to the residents and their needs. The food is good quality too with wonderful menus.
There is also plenty to do with lots of events taking place, and not just at Christmas and Easter, which often include residents' family members too. Recently they even did a Chinese New year celebration and meal which was lots of fun. There are plenty of games and activities, entertainers and singers that come in, and trips and days out. My mum loves it. So yes, very pleased.

I just wanted to say how lovely the downstairs of the home is looking. Freshly-painted, also new dining room tables and chairs, very nice table cloths, curtains, also toilets looking lovely and fresh. Also thank you for a lovely St. Patrick's afternoon, the room was nicely decorated with green streamers
and green and white balloons. Everyone had a good sing-along as they always do. A big thank you for all the staff for their hard work. Well done everyone!

Both my Mum & Dad had to get care at the same time and we was very lucky that Farnworth care home could take both in at the same time, Mum was very sick and passed away a couple of months after, the care she got and dignity she got from all the staff was amazing and they truly helped in a very difficult
time, Dad is still in Farnworth care home and the staff really looked after him after Mums passing, he couldnt be in better place. All the family and Dad are very happy with all the attention and care he gets from the staff and he is very settled and content. A big thank you from us all to all at Farnworth care home.

My Mother has been a resident for just under six months and although I do not know about other Nursing Homes to compare with this one I can only say that I am impressed. From Pravene (Home Manager) who I have met several times down through all the staff I can only say that I am impressed with the friendliness,
helpfulness and professionalism of all the staff. Any problems encountered have been explained as to why certain items are not allowed and the reasons why. I can only reiterate that I am happy my Mother is a resident and is being cared for here and she is happy in herself and this to me proves the level of care provided by all the management and staff

My mum has settled in well at Rawyards House, mainly due to the support she is receiving from staff. The management, nursing, care and activities teams are professional, thoughtful and communicative. The care she has received has been exemplary. My mum has said on several occasions that she feels lucky
to be living at Rawyards and has "no complaints". I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a caring and welcoming environment.

Gary has settled in well and loves the staff and treatment. He is a lot calmer than he has been for a long while, the carers are incredible and very gentle with him. Our kids and I appreciate the caring attitude and the compassion with which he is treated. Thank you so much!
