When dad arrived, the team were sensitive and made a positive effort with him and with us all. Your staff made the time to connect with dad and converse with him, it re-built his confidence. You listened when he said he loved gardening and a couple of planters, tools and plants appeared outside his
garden doors!
He was included in activities and you took such care with everything, even seating him during meals so that he had appropriate interaction and could try to relax.
For the record, the staff at Aarandel were caring, attentive and fun and we only have positive feedback for the team.

My husband has been in Aarandale for ten months. The care and concern shown by the staff has been excellent. As a result, when I come in the home, I am always greeted by a smile, a welcome and sometimes a hug.
My husband is very settled here and they understand and deal with his needs very well.

I had 2 weeks convalescence in Aarandale Manor after an operation. When I was wearing a non weight bearing cast. The care from all the staff was exceptional and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. The only downside was the food which was very poor.

My mum has been at this care home for two years now and I feel that, as a very regular visitor, I am in an excellent position to provide potential residents and their families with a realistic view of the care that Aarandale has provided and continues to provide to my mother.
Every single member of
staff that I have come into contact with has been extremely caring above and beyond what you would reasonably expect. I love my mother dearly and was her sole carer for over five years. She is my only remaining relative and I love her dearly. The care my mother receives is truly exceptional and it feels like I am leaving her with family when I go to my own home. When I take Mum back to the care home, the staff are really pleased to see her and she is thriving there.
Whilst all the staff have been absolutely wonderful to my mother, a few do deserve special mention, three ladies in particular and a very special Scottish nurse, who actually made me cry with the kindness she showed my mother.

I cannot praise the care and attention given to my husband during the 2 plus years he was in Aarandale Manor. The senior staff and carers showed excellent respect to him at all times and their care for him couldn't be better. At the end of his life, the dignity that was given to him was outstanding.
As a daily visitor to my husband, the staff were always most respectful and kept me updated on his condition. I would never hesitate to recommend Aarandale Manor to anyone. Well done to everyone involved in my husband's care, particularly his end-of-life care.

My family and I have been surprised with the friendly, kind and excellent service provided by all the staff and management. I am well aware of the personal needs I have to keep to a strict vegetarian and selective fish menu and again they are extremely helpful. All this including the personal help given

This is the third care home where Mum has been placed. The first one no-one bothered to know Mum and she became depressed. The second one the care was good but the cleanliness was extremely poor and was not adequate for her needs. At Aarandale Manor everything is what she needs. The carers are sympathetic
and nice. She is really happy here and for the first time, I saw her smile. I strongly recommend Aarandal and I'm happy to be of any assistance. She has been here for nearly a year.

Due to a broken arm and other medical conditions, I needed respite care. As I came from the hospital the nurses were excellent for changing my dressing and removing sutures. They have an activities manager and he arranges interesting outings. The food was good and their omelettes were delicious. I have
no hesitation in recommending this home for their professional care.

I want to say a huge thank you to all the carers and managers at Aarandale who are doing such a brilliant job of looking after my dad. I cannot tell you how happy I am with the way in which dad is being cared for, looked after and respected, despite his illness. They all do such an amazing job and it
is such a delight each time I go to visit him, to see him smiling and getting along with everyone. I am also amazed at how much he is talking to different people because before he came to Aarandale he wasn't saying very much at all. As much as it was an extremely difficult decision to make to move him out of his flat into the home, I knew it was the right thing to do, and seeing him now, has just proved that. Thank you all so much.

When my friend first moved into Aarandale I was very apprehensive after the first week my mind was changed by the friendliness of the staff, and how thoughtful and caring they are. Welcoming us as part of a large family making my friend feel safe and included in all that goes on. It is always clean

My mum stayed in Aarandale Manor for the last week and a half of her life, having been in hospital for nearly 5 months. Words cannot express our gratitude for the respect, care and empathy shown to both my mum and our family. The home is beautiful, as are the rooms but it is the staff who are the real
asset here; such a contrast to the level of care delivered at Mum’s previous home. Everyone of the staff was lovely and did everything they could to make Mum’s last days as comfortable as possible, which also made it so much easier for her family to just focus on spending time with her. The staff are skilled carers and nurses who genuinely care about each of their patients. I cannot recommend Aarandale enough.

When I first arrived I thought 'my god it looks like a hotel'. Beautiful paintings, a piano and delightful garden. Many other things to do for those who can take part. Televisions are huge. The best head nurse. Try it for yourself. Thank you.
