I have found the care given to residents at Aarondale Manor luxury care home 'exceptional', the standard of care has exceeded my highest expectations. I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my sister's demeanour and the comfort of a splendid room with views of the green garden and the open aspect
beyond. Every carer and the administrative staff exude the highest and warmest level of care for my sister.

My mother lived on her own till she was 99. She had carers and support staff but not 24 hours a day because she didn’t want a live-in. However, she had a bad fall that led to surgery and a decline in memory.
She had to be in a care home. We searched and found most facilities unacceptable. Dirty smelly
and second rate. Mostly 2/3 stars. We found Aarandale thank goodness a five star amongst so much mediocrity.
We wanted my mother to be safe, healthy and happy and despite the pandemic the shutdowns the lack of visiting she has remained Covid free happy and safe.
She will be 101 years young on Jan 5 and in many ways that is thanks to the remarkable staff of nurses, carers and management at Aarandale

My wife has now been at Aarandale Manor for over five months. She has settled well thanks to compassionate and professional care from the staff and management. They cater for her special needs eg. diet and respect her idiosyncrasies without compromising her care. I am pleased to note that she is beginning
to do exercise work and to take a healthy interest in food. The allocated nurse has always kept me informed about my wife's health situation. On visiting or telephoning care home, I have been made welcome. Busy as they are, carers seem to find time to listen to residents with empathy. I have witnessed person-centred care in action. I recommend this care home.

My mother spent 2 and a half happy years at Aarandale.
The first 6 months they had carers leaving and also managers, but they now have a wonderful manager, carers and nurses. They are all so attentive, caring and special people. They treated my mother like a queen! She settled in and loved the entertainment
and the food too. Aarandale has left me with special memories.

My mother spent two weeks in respite care at Aarandale Manor. She has described her stay as comfortable and happy. English is not her first language and although she likes European food, she is more used to Asian food. The staff understood these two things very well and accommodated her to the best
of their ability.

The care staff gave my mother all the respect and dignity she needed. At the end of her life, they touched me so much with all the care and respect. Mum had some good days there -constantly laughing on some days. Arandale Manor is beautifully decorated and certainly feels like a hotel and not a nursing
home. The nurses are very professional and supporting. The manager has definitely turned this place around. I am glad that we chose Arandale for my mother. I would like to give praise to the absolutely perfect carers. All the other carers were also really lovely and very caring, the kitchen and cleaning staff too. I am going to miss this place.

I looked at many care homes until I got told about Aarandale Manor and the minute I stepped foot in the home I knew this was the place for my mother-in-law. She is so happy and the care and attention she gets from everyone at Aarandale Manor is excellent. All the staff are so kind and nothing is too
much. Also, the party which was put on for my mother-in-law for her 100th birthday could not be better. Thank you.

I have found Arrandale Manor an inviting place to stay. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful. My friend has settled in very well and is very happy being there. She has a beautiful garden room that is very light and plenty of space for what she needs. She is always treated with dignity. There
are always activities going on, but if you want not to join in you are always encouraged to but never forced to.the management has done an excellent job and are always looking further in order to achieve their goals.

What makes the culture at Aarandale unique is the way the personalities of all the staff is used in a positive way with residents and families. The home was very welcoming and well kept. The staff, on the whole, were very pleasant and accommodating. They had lots of activities and gardens were nice. Laundry was very slow and mislaid my wife's clothes several times.

Since the manager left the wheels have come off. No management. Staff are willing but unknowing, especially as far as dementia goes, also a huge chasm in understanding patients needs, ridiculous activities programme, can't follow a care plan.
Neglect, lack of respect, loss of dignity. Short staffed
cannot cope. Excellent cooking on the plus side.

My mother has received exceptional care. The staff are amazing and know each person here individually - I was amazed to hear that there have been complaints, my mother has been here since January and I have seen nothing or any reason for these complaints.
Some families treat this home as a five star
hotel and that their family member has a one to one service. These carers are exceptional and deserve a medal.
