We went to the Summer fete at Primrose Hill and what an afternoon, a lovely BBQ, well done chef. Entertainment was brilliant. Residents were in full swing and well looked after by staff. Such a lovely friendly home, one that I would love to go to in another 15 years. Well done all and a big thank you

When we arrived at the car home from hospital my mum was placed on the dementia floor as she had been in hospital with an infection and had a diagnosis of early onset dementia. This floor was too noisy for my mum to cope or recover. We waited in the toom for nearly 45mins waiting for someone to come
and see us to explain the process. During that time my mum was getting more upset with the level of noise. I spoke to the manager who was extremely understanding & helpful and moved my mum to a quieter floor that wasn't for dementia. The 1st nurse I met on that floor was lovely & couldn't be more helpful and was really warm & personal-able to my mum. The other care staff were also fantastic & within a couple of days mum was back to her normal self and I couldn't praise the care she was given enough & how attentive the staff were with the exception of 1 nurse who made it very clear she was not happy that my mum was on that floor & sadly was lets the staff down.

Before our friend became a resident, we visited several homes in the area but were immediately struck by the welcoming atmosphere of Primrose Hill Care Home. After a settling in period, our friend appears to be enjoying life in her new abode and seems to get on with many of the carers particularly those
who like to have a laugh and a joke with her, yes, there have been highs and lows, but we have been impressed by how caring the staff are and treat those who suffer from dementia with dignity and kindness.

I can't thank the staff enough for how mum is looked after. Mum is very scared of water and don't like showers but the staff here got her to have one and she said she felt so fresh after and they was so kind and made her feel at ease all the time. The staff on her floor are all so friendly and always
take time to tell me how she is doing.

Following a stroke and an extended period in hospital, my father was transferred to Primrose Hill in Huntingdon. From the moment he arrived he was treated with compassion and respect. All the staff I met were amazing and made my dad comfortable and managed his end of life care with great care and allowed
him to maintain his dignity. I cannot fault anything about the home. Myself and my family will be forever grateful for everything they did for dad and us at a very difficult time.

Had a lovely afternoon with tea and cake at Primrose Hill Care Home. We had a lovely quiz with one lovely member of staff who made us all laugh, the residents had a blast. We had beautiful cakes, made by the chef. This care home is so warm and caring. My auntie absolutely loves it there, I can't wait

Amazing entertainment, food was lovely and homemade (well done chef), great raffle and prizes from people that donated. Would have been nice if family members could have drinks provided for next time. Can't wait for another entertainment day with the residents.

My nan is in Primrose Hill Care Home. I visit every week. I have found the staff amazing and caring. I have no worries about leaving my nan in such caring hands.
I'm not allowed to ay names but there is one small lady who looks after my nan and she is amazing with my nan. Very caring and very genuine.

My mother has been resident here for nearly 6 years, through varying stages of dementia. She has been very well cared for at this home. Staff have been inclusive and respectful in terms of involving the family in her care. They were especially good through COVID, ensuring regular video contact and updated
on her condition regularly too. I recommend them for their care and consideration.

From day 1, the staff have been both welcoming and helpful. My mum, of 89, was apprehensive to go to a home but the staff and surroundings have made it a very satisfactory experience. Great food, great living areas and the kindest of staff have given my mum a new lease of life and would thoroughly recommend

Amanda has been at Primrose since 2018, first as a Deputy Manager and for the last year and a half, as a Home Manager.


She has been in healthcare for 17 years. Since then she has completed NVQ2 NVQ3 and completed NVQ5 management levels in Health & Social care.


Amanda has a passion for ensuring that high standards of care and compliance are maintained to ensure that Residents within her care receive the best possible placement tailored to their individual needs.


She and her team are dedicated to involving Residents and Relatives in the running of the Home and involving the Community in activities and events.


When Amanda is not busy at Primrose Hill Care Home, she is enjoying gardening, decorating, reading & spending time with her partner, 4 children & 2 Grandchildren.

Katie Williams

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2017

Katie is a registered Nurse & has been in healthcare for 11 years. Katie has been a Nurse, Unit lead, & clinical lead before becoming Deputy Manager at Primrose Hill.

She has her Nursing Higher Advanced diploma, Is a Basic Life Support trainer, has completed IPC lead training course & supports the home with Infection Control.
