The staff at Primrose Hill go above and beyond to care for and look after my dad. The staff that I have come to know are always friendly, welcoming, considerate, happy and polite. They speak to me and treat me in a warm and welcoming way which is so lovely. My dad is treated with respect and kindness and is settled and happy here. The care shown means so much to me as a daughter of someone having to go into care as its very hard for me - so thank you.

The nurses along with the carers are always checking my dad is ok and the nurses are wonderful keeping on top of medical needs.

We can't thank all of the wonderful staff at Primrose Hill Care Home enough for the care and compassion they gave to Dad during his 6-week recovery stay with them in Spring 2026, following his discharge from hospital. We visited daily, got to know the staff well and saw first hand how well they treated and cared for Dad and the other residents too. Dad's recovery during his stay at Primrose Hill was impressive. He had lost his mobility during his stay in hospital. Whilst at Primrose Hill he was guided, encouraged and aided by the very capable staff to exercise and this resulted in sufficient gain in his mobility to be able to return home. Thank you so much to everyone at Primrose Hill: you far exceeded our expectations, and we are delighted by the recovery that Dad made whilst in your care. Very highly recommended to others.

Reply from Katie Williams, Deputy Manager at Primrose Hill Care Home

Thank you very much for your kind words. We always strive to provide the best care possible for our residents. It was a pleasure getting to know you and your family and we wish you all the best for the future.

I just wanted to say how lovely the downstairs of the home is looking. Freshly-painted, also new dining room tables and chairs, very nice table cloths, curtains, also toilets looking lovely and fresh. Also thank you for a lovely St. Patrick's afternoon, the room was nicely decorated with green streamers and green and white balloons. Everyone had a good sing-along as they always do. A big thank you for all the staff for their hard work. Well done everyone!

Our father needed palliative and end-of-life care at very little notice. The care home was close to their house, and hence to mum. It was with much relief that we secured a place for dad to spend his final days at Primrose Hill. It was so appreciated how our family, whenever and whoever we arrived, were always made to feel welcome. We were soon made to feel at home - whether by office, nursing, cleaning, care or catering staff. At a really difficult time in our lives, you cared for us and dad, personally, with skill and empathy. It was wonderful to be able to focus on dad, and mum, and be provided with all that made this more comfortable - whether a room to stay, advice or hot drinks and biscuits. Thank you!

Overall Experience
Dad's last nine months were made so much more comfortable thanks to the incredible care provided by the staff at Primrose Hill. I can't stress enough how much happier he was.
Whenever I visited Dad, the other residents always seemed happy and the staff were friendly and helpful, but I do want to pass on a very special thanks to Ionela, the nurse who gave so much love and care to Dad, and was always there with a friendly smile and always with time to reassure us.
When Dad passed, Ionela prepared us and made sure that Mum and I were with him. At the time, two other members of staff were tending to Dad too - John and another lady who I'm sorry to say I've forgotten the name of. I need to say how wonderful they were, and seeing John's reaction after Dad died will stay with me forever as a very real indication of just how much the staff here care for their residents.
Thank you all too for the lovely send-off you gave Dad on the day of his funeral.

Thank you.

I would like to thank everyone who works at Primrose Hill. The love and care that George received while Primrose Hill was his home made him feel safe and loved. Every time I came in the door I felt I was with friends. They made our last 9 months together a very special time and for that I am so grateful to every one of you. Thank you all and I send my love to you all. You are very special people.

When we arrived at the car home from hospital my mum was placed on the dementia floor as she had been in hospital with an infection and had a diagnosis of early onset dementia. This floor was too noisy for my mum to cope or recover. We waited in the toom for nearly 45mins waiting for someone to come and see us to explain the process. During that time my mum was getting more upset with the level of noise. I spoke to the manager who was extremely understanding & helpful and moved my mum to a quieter floor that wasn't for dementia. The 1st nurse I met on that floor was lovely & couldn't be more helpful and was really warm & personal-able to my mum. The other care staff were also fantastic & within a couple of days mum was back to her normal self and I couldn't praise the care she was given enough & how attentive the staff were with the exception of 1 nurse who made it very clear she was not happy that my mum was on that floor & sadly was lets the staff down.

Seeing my fathers face on visiting Primrose Hill, smiling and clean-shaven was enough to convince me he was happy as he could be, while always from home. Which has never happened before even with a live in carer.

Before our friend became a resident, we visited several homes in the area but were immediately struck by the welcoming atmosphere of Primrose Hill Care Home. After a settling in period, our friend appears to be enjoying life in her new abode and seems to get on with many of the carers particularly those who like to have a laugh and a joke with her, yes, there have been highs and lows, but we have been impressed by how caring the staff are and treat those who suffer from dementia with dignity and kindness.

I can't thank the staff enough for how mum is looked after. Mum is very scared of water and don't like showers but the staff here got her to have one and she said she felt so fresh after and they was so kind and made her feel at ease all the time. The staff on her floor are all so friendly and always take time to tell me how she is doing.

Following a stroke and an extended period in hospital, my father was transferred to Primrose Hill in Huntingdon. From the moment he arrived he was treated with compassion and respect. All the staff I met were amazing and made my dad comfortable and managed his end of life care with great care and allowed him to maintain his dignity. I cannot fault anything about the home. Myself and my family will be forever grateful for everything they did for dad and us at a very difficult time.
