I have been visiting my friend for some while now and what has struck me at every visit is the caring staff. From management to cleaning staff, they have been friendly and helpful. Through good and bad times (my friend has dementia) they have provided support and quite a few laughs. They also keep me informed about my friend.

Had a lovely afternoon with tea and cake at Primrose Hill Care Home. We had a lovely quiz with one lovely member of staff who made us all laugh, the residents had a blast. We had beautiful cakes, made by the chef. This care home is so warm and caring. My auntie absolutely loves it there, I can't wait for the next one.

Amazing entertainment, food was lovely and homemade (well done chef), great raffle and prizes from people that donated. Would have been nice if family members could have drinks provided for next time. Can't wait for another entertainment day with the residents.

Thank you R for a lovely review. I am so pleased you had a wonderful day & we certainly did too. I am so sorry you didn't have the opportunity to have a drink whilst here, we had jugs of Pimm's with the BBQ set up, we had a juice station set, a fresh cold water cooler and in the dining room we have...

My nan is in Primrose Hill Care Home. I visit every week. I have found the staff amazing and caring. I have no worries about leaving my nan in such caring hands.
I'm not allowed to ay names but there is one small lady who looks after my nan and she is amazing with my nan. Very caring and very genuine.

My mother has been resident here for nearly 6 years, through varying stages of dementia. She has been very well cared for at this home. Staff have been inclusive and respectful in terms of involving the family in her care. They were especially good through COVID, ensuring regular video contact and updated on her condition regularly too. I recommend them for their care and consideration.

From day 1, the staff have been both welcoming and helpful. My mum, of 89, was apprehensive to go to a home but the staff and surroundings have made it a very satisfactory experience. Great food, great living areas and the kindest of staff have given my mum a new lease of life and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

My husband was transferred from hospital. My first visit was so good, I knew he was in the best place. Kind, caring staff. I could not have asked for more - always polite and friendly. His room was clean and the food was very clean. He was treated with dignity and such kindness right up to his passing. In the short time (10 days) he was there it was like extended family who really cared for him. I cannot thank them all enough.

Mum has been at the care home for approximately 4 weeks and after a short period where she was quite upset and unsettled at the idea of losing her independence, she is now happy and very contented. The staff and management were very helpful and offered a lot of support to help Mum settle. I am extremely impressed with the cleanliness and space offered by the home and Mum's room is very neat and tidy, with a lovely ensuite. I have seen the food that is provided every day and it looks very appetising and nutritious. There are plenty of activities to keep residents happy and the staff are all very friendly and willing to stop and spend time with people. My family and I are more than happy that Mum is settled here and would highly recommend the home to anyone looking for a caring environment for their loved one.

I find Primrose Hill Care Home very good. My husband is looked after very well, the staff are easy and good to talk to. Nothing is too much trouble, management is there if you need to talk about anything. My husband is happy and that is all I can ask for. Thank you to all staff at Primrose Hill. I could not say anything about the activities as my husband is bedridden.

I find that the staff are very helpful and treat my husband with dignity and respect and treat me very well when I visit. The only thing is I find that a lot of his clothes go missing, even with his name on, maybe they come off in the wash.

I found the home welcoming and open to any questions I had. The staff are friendly and able to offer news on my mother's time at the home. Hairdressers and chiropodists are available on request. There are activity sessions for all the residents and as my mother is not very mobile, due to her health problems, they are keen to get her 'up and about' in the recliner pushchairs available so she can visit the TV lounge and garden when the weather allows. My mother is content and cared for at the home.

The carers that look after my mother are hardworking and kind. I am very appreciative of their dedication and skills. However, I have observed that they are often understaffed and therefore overworked. I believe the staff to be Primrose's biggest asset and I sincerely hope that they are also valued by management and their hard work is recognised and valued to ensure morale is maintained. The room needs updating, especially the bed and chair.

I have known 2 people who were residents of Primrose Hill. The staff who work here are friendly and helpful. On their own they deserved good.
The problem is the management.

The managers of the Home were reasonable but there was a lot of change so little continuity. That was not helpful. So the staff have to be called 'poor' on the whole.

The real problem lay with the people in Group who owned the Homes of which Primrose Hill is one and those appointed to oversee the Homes. They were difficult to contact and when any significant problem arose they made polite noises but did nothing. When they were challenged about their lack of action they acted in ways that made the problem worse, not better.

The MD of the organisation made no response at all to any communication.

Since the new management team arrived I have been increasingly happy with the way Primrose Hill is run and with the improvements they are making across the board. There's a lighter atmosphere somehow. The recent Christmas lunch was of superb quality, the staff worked tirelessly and the atmosphere was happy and friendly; no-one would have felt left out. The entertainment afterwards was infectious and the residents clearly loved it. This is just one example of how Primrose Hill is progressing.
