Whilst the staff in general are, and always have been, excellent and service user centred, notable mentions should go to the now departed Manager, Alison Wakefield who worked her fingers to the bone whilst driving the home continually upwards over a number of years; Julie Redwood, the Office Manager who has been there for many years and nothing is ever too much trouble for; Julie Stone, the Wellbeing Champion who is indeed a champion in every sense of the word; and Diana Nkerahabizi, Assistant Manager, another really excellent professional.

We have always been very pleased with the home in general. Staff have always been welcoming and friendly. We have always been very happy with the care that my mum has received and the way that we are always kept up to date with all matters relating to her medical care.

My mum has been in Elmcroft for over 2 years and in that time the home has provided my mum with a safe, caring and loving home. The staff are amazing no matter what their role. In the last year Elmcroft has improved greatly with new management and I would recommend Elmcroft to any one looking for a care home for their lives ones.

I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for residential care for their loved one.

My father has dementia and we hope to use Elmcroft care home in the future.

wife has settled in far more quicker and easier than expected. i feel this is due to friendly caring staff taking time to interact with her. she appears a lot happier than at home and this really has been a turning point for her.

After visiting a number of care homes we decided on Elmcroft for my Dad. . And I am so glad we did. I knew within minutes of walking in that it just felt right. My first impression was then further supported once I met the staff and saw the room and facilities. Dad has been there for two months and the level of professionalism, care, support and kindness of staff never fails to impress me. That is from the management, nurses, carers through to housekeeping and maintenance staff. However, what matters most is that Dad feels safe and happy there. It's something I didn't expect as he is a very independent man and at 91 not used to change. Without hesitation I would recommend anyone looking for a home for their loved one to include it on their list.

From the manger senior nurses to careres and kitchen staff cannot be faulted the rooms are well appointed and clean with ensuite the food is a very high standard and plentiful every one is all ways welcoming all in all definitely five stars

Without naming individuals everyone at Elmcroft performed to the highest standards leaving us with the assurance that mum was very happy and comfortable. The Family day held last weekend was such a delight to attend , it was so nice to see visitors, the team at Elmcroft and the residents all very happy with the entertainment offered for the day, these regular days arranged to keep the residents in good spirts are really worth there weight in gold,

Cannot fault the staff and care my mother receives in Elmcroft. New chef is amazing. Food cooked fresh and bakes lovely cakes. Care mum receives is great. Well looked after, always there for you if any questions need to be asked. Always in contact with me especially if I cannot visit. Very clean. Activities most days ie piano player, animals visiting ,arts and craft. My mother unfortunately cannot participate but always included. I feel very relieved knowing my mum is well cared for. Big weight off my mind.

Spoke to my mother about the care she was receiving, and they informed me that they were very pleased about the care and attention she is receiving and the excellent care and attention that is shown by the staff to the patents.

Staff are very attentive and respectful to my mum who has dementia and can be very demanding but is also very loving and likes a cuddle staff are very informative to myself on my mum's welfare and always ring me when she has not been well or had a fall staff are always very friendly to my self and sister when we visit my mum is always clean and tidy mum is always encouraged to have a go at the activities which most of the time she enjoys and her care plan has recently been changed to accommodate her change in her illness I would not hesitate to recommend Elmcroft to other families who need help caring for their family or friends.

I have not written a review until now, as I feel this does need to be addressed. The home does not look inviting; first impressions do count. There is very much a lack of communication between staff and management; there has/were a lot of cover-ups with care and some neglect. The assistance bell was not answered efficiently. The food is not desirable, and care needs are not being supported. I would not recommend this to any of my relatives and/or friends where care is required.

Mum first went in back in July. The staff were very friendly, kind, caring and did their best to settle Mum in, they really are all so lovely. There was really only one problem with the home at the time and that was the manager - zero communication, lack of empathy and quite rude. Since the new management the communication has completely transformed and they have become the face of Elmcroft, always visible, always ready to listen and so friendly and making Mum a number 1 priority. Any concerns the new management have gone above and beyond and I know my mum loved interacting with them. The nurses, carers, cleaners, facilities staff and one member of staff, in particular, have all been wonderful and amazing from day one and I will be so sad not to see them anymore as they always made an effort to say hello and chat to me as well as keeping me up to date on Mum. The cleanliness of the place is second to none, always immaculate and super tidy. The food is outstanding and of excellent quality. Thank you so much to all the staff for looking after my mum.

The home is spotlessly clean, my husband is always clean and tidy and dressed in his own clothes. If you have a relative needing care I would recommend this home.

After seeing my father-in-law very difficult at the hospital, Elmcroft took him, and within days, they had settled him in. The staff are friendly and caring. Very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. We feel quite happy to leave him here after a visit. He seems happy. Overall, the management of the care home is excellent. I'm glad he's in here. It's a very good care home.

My brother was treated with dignity, and the care was excellent. The staff were kind and professional. The experience was good despite the circumstances. Exceptional care by all concerned.
