My mum came into Kenyon Lodge for a 2 week rest bite. Upon entering the staff were very friendly and checked mum into her room within a few minutes. The care home is very clean and well taken care of. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very nice and good range of options. They have artists coming in to entertain the residents, dancing and singing. The bed was an air bed like in hospital and home and meant that I didn't have to take mums with us. Would happily use the facilities again for mum. There is a garden out the back for small walks in summer and a BBQ area. Overall very happy!! Thank you to all staff for looking after my Mother! Xx

My cousin moved into this home having moved from a previous residential home where the care was appalling. From the day my cousin moved in his care was excellent the manager Jayms was very professional and caring and the staff especially Fiona and Suree were so kind, caring and compassionate Fiona and another person I think named Joshua were with my cousin when he passed away which I was so grateful for I cannot thank them enough. I felt the job Fiona and Suree do is more than a job to them it was more of a vocation and they are a credit to their profession. Thank all so much .

The team at Farnworth care home have been a true lifeline for my family during a difficult time. Knowing my mum is well looked after, safe and treated with genuine kindness gives us absolute peace of mind while my dad recovers. The kindness and professionalism of the staff have been a real comfort. Thanks for making her stay a happy one.

My father in law goes here on respite and always is with a smile on his face when we visit. It's clean and a respectable place, which is why it's the only place he will go! He even likes the food ( we struggle to get him to eat most of the time). The staff always go above and beyond and you can see management are always taking on feedback and doing work to improve the home.

We always wait for availability at Kenyon lodge, it's the only place my step dad will go! They always go above and beyond and everything about his care is personalised and comforting to him. The staff are professional yet provide a friendly safety net that goes beyond standard care. We are grateful for them all, especially the wellbeing team who always get him involved and make him feel important.

My mum spent six well-cared-for years at Kenyon, and as a family we will always be grateful for the care and support she received during her time there. Throughout those six years, the staff always had Mum's best interests at heart. They treated her with kindness, compassion and dignity, and it was reassuring for us as a family to know that she was being looked after by people who genuinely cared about her wellbeing. Over the years, we have also seen many improvements made to the home. These changes have made a real difference and have helped to create an even better environment for the residents. We will always remember the warmth, kindness and dignity the staff gave Mum during her six years at Kenyon. Their care brought us comfort and reassurance, and we will remain deeply grateful that they helped make Kenyon a place where Mum was not only looked after, but truly valued and cared for as part of a family.

A very dear friend who I have known for over 50 years developed Vascular Dementia and onset Alzheimer's. I looked after her for a few years while she was able to stay in her flat. Two years ago her condition deteriorated. We both lived in Kent. My friend has a lovely Goddaughter who lives in Bolton and would regularly travel to Kent to visit her. Because of my age and health my friend's Goddaughter and I decided it was time for her to go into residential accommodation. It was more practical that she moved into a residential home in Bolton. Her Goddaughter found Farnworth Care Home. What a blessing.

I find it hard to put into words all the love and care my friend is receiving in Farnworth Care Home. The kindness of everyone, whether it is a telephone call to speak with your loved one or a member of staff to discuss how she is. The management and staff, including the wonderful daily carers are always available. I cannot speak highly enough of Farnworth Care Home.

There is plenty of choice at mealtime to suit all needs

No compassion

My aunt has recently moved into this care home and already I can see the difference in her mental and physical wellbeing. Myself from entering the home, meeting reception, admin, managers, nurses, carers everyone showed compassion and care above anything I have seen before. Bring a past carer myself this is very reassuring and wonderful to see. My aunt and myself want to thank everyone for their support at this difficult time. Thank you I can rate this home 5* and 100% excellent.

Poor standards of care and poor standards of communication between staff and family and friends. Also miss leading information given to family and friends overall not impressed with overall standards of care

We visit our friend Ron as often as we can. He has had a few naughty spells but he is now settled at Farnworth care home and we have noticed a vast improvement. His room is lovely and quiet and both Ron and ourselves think that the staff are wonderful. Many thanks to all of you for taking care of him. We now know that he is safe and happy compared with the Care Home that he was in before. Once again a big thankyou to all you wonderful people. xxx

Farnworth Care Home has provided a safe, comfortable and caring last home for my mother. Things have not always gone smoothly but all the staff have been supportive, patient and reassuring. Mum's needs have been met in all aspects of her nursing care and well being. The home is clean and tidy. Dirty laundry is removed daily and returned speedily. The standard of food is varied and prepared to a high standard, nothing is omitted. Hot/cold drinks and snacks are provided 24 hours a day. I cannot fault Farnworth Care Home. You all deserve a medal. You are all wonderful. Thank you for caring for my mum.

Always excellent, the carers are lovely. Room always clean and Mum seems happy. Altogether very satisfied.

My mum came to Kenyon Lodge 4 weeks ago after it was decided she could no longer live by herself. This was very upsetting for us as a family, but our minds have been put to rest seeing how happy she is. She has a lovely room, the food is outstanding, and the activities they provide and entertainment to keep them busy are amazing. I definitely chose the right home for my mum.

My Mother 103 years of age has been in Kenyon lodge of a couple of years now she has been very happy The staff are first class nothing is two much trouble the care she receives is first class

My dad has been a resident on Firwood at Farnworth Care Home since January 2025. During this time, the care that he has received has been exemplary from all of the staff. My dad says how lovely and caring they all are; each member of staff that deals with him has formed a relationship with him, and that makes him feel valued. We are also really impressed with all of the activities that are available to residents every day. We also can't speak highly enough of James, the manager who too is very amenable.

There is also plenty to do with lots of events taking place, and not just at Christmas and Easter, which often include residents' family members too. Recently they even did a Chinese New year celebration and meal which was lots of fun. There are plenty of games and activities, entertainers and singers that come in, and trips and days out. My mum loves it. So yes, very pleased.

Both my Mum & Dad had to get care at the same time and we was very lucky that Farnworth care home could take both in at the same time, Mum was very sick and passed away a couple of months after, the care she got and dignity she got from all the staff was amazing and they truly helped in a very difficult time, Dad is still in Farnworth care home and the staff really looked after him after Mums passing, he couldnt be in better place. All the family and Dad are very happy with all the attention and care he gets from the staff and he is very settled and content. A big thank you from us all to all at Farnworth care home.
