Dad came to stay at Kenyon Lodge in Feb 2025 for end of life care. Sadly he passed this month (April). It was a big adjustment for dad who had always had independence and was used to living alone (and for rest of the family) but the staff really helped dad to settle. Particularly 5 members of staff
who called me two days before dad passed to enable us to be with him right until the end and the carer who was with us in dad's last moments. Even the domestics (particularly 2 of them) and the Maintenance man would stop for chats with dad, talking about his hobbies and helping him feel more normal despite his illness. Any issues were picked up promptly and professionally by the deputy manager.

My stepdad was in Kenyon lodge on respite for his 60th birthday, he loved the staff and their attentiveness. He particularly liked a certain member of staff and enjoyed chatting with him. He enjoyed spending time with other residents, watching television and spending time outside on the warmer days.
He was welcomed with a warm smile everyday and this really contributed to his happiness during his stay.

Amazing care given to my relative at all times, treated with dignity and respect, nothing too much trouble, as relatives we are made to feel very welcome when visiting, always lots of activities for the residents to join in. I feel that the nursing and care team are attentive and caring towards my dad. They make him feel special and that means the world to all of us. Thank you. It would be nice if he was able to go out on trips a little more often than he does, but I understand there are limited spaces but I have noticed
that pictures are posted on social media when he goes into the lounges for group singing etc and like to see this. Thank you

Our Mum has been in Farnworth Care Home since June 2023. We feel eternally grateful to the Team of dedicated staff who are managed by Mr J B, they all display genuine kindness and warmth, highly skilled and professionalism. They deliver dignified, personalised care to our loved ones, so that we are
able to work, sleep, raise our families safe in the knowledge that our all our Mum's needs are met. We cannot begin to thank you - words are not enough. All our family would highly recommend Farnworth Care Home to take care of your loved ones. Excellent..excellent..!

I was very apprehensive about my husband going into a care home. I really didn't have to worry about anything; the care he receives is second to none. The staff really care for the residents and their families; I feel like the staff are extended family. I would have no hesitation in recommending Farnsworth

My mum has been in Farnworth care home for 4 years. I've never had cause for concern; the staff are brilliant, and meals always look good. The manager is also friendly, and if you have concerns, they listen to you.

All the staff looking after my Mum were extremely caring and patient with her. They kept me up to date with any health issues she had. Mum found it hard at first to settle in but soon was laughing with the staff who made her welcome. They were there for her in her last hours when sadly I could not be
there due to my own health issues and living in Wales. I cannot praise them enough for all their care and dedication to her.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of different activities for the residents. Very clean establishment. Nice enclosed garden when weather permits. On site hair salon which mum uses regularly. Mum's health stabilised due to good nursing care.

Since my brother was admin to the Nursing home in November for respite care, and now a permanent resident. He as been treated with dignity, respect, all staff are conscientious, friendly and caring towards all patients. I have visited other homes and found that Farnworth Nursing home is absolutely wonderful.
Patient focus is always good and nothing is too much for them. Staff are happy friendly listen to relatives problems and concerns an act on solution if needed. Would highly recommend the Nursing home and would never move him .

I was welcomed by staff on the reception desk and during my visit found all staff to be friendly, easily approachable and helpful. It was my friend's birthday and birthday banners had been put up in his room and on the corridor. There was a pleasant, calm and welcoming atmosphere and my friend was relaxed
and happy. Having experienced difficulties at some previous care homes due to my friends complex needs, I know that I have finally found a care home that is just that...Home.

My mum has been in the care home for 3 years and in that time the care and kindness towards her and my family has been first class, of course its never going to be perfect with 40 residents on the floor but in my mums case I can say the care has been excellent and I would personally like to thank all

I left a review when my father-in-law stayed for a month earlier this year, this time just a few days, but he said he loves coming on holiday to Farnworth, he says the staff are all lovely, so friendly and always happy, he loves the food, he is looking forward to coming again in the future. We tried
a nursing home in Radcliffe and a few others but he didn't like them at all. This is the first home he has stayed in more than once, so relieved we have found somewhere he likes.

My dad has been in the home for over a year now. Since he was discharged from hospital , his health has improved he has gained weight and is well looked after. The staff are efficient, friendly and approachable. If they have any concerns they contact us.

This care home is so lovely and both myself and my brother are so relieved we managed to get our Mum a place on the nursing unit. From the moment we arrived to have a look around to now having Mum settled in and being looked after by the lovely nurses and staff, it's been such a faultless experience.
Nothing is too much trouble, just ask and someone is always happy to help. Mum's even had her hair done today in the onsite salon. It's so important to pick the right place for your loved ones when they need it and we couldn't be happier.

Family members are not safe under Kenyon Lodge's care. Nursing staff failed to call an ambulance when clear stroke signs were being exhibited and she was found unresponsive in her room after being left alone for 1.5 hours.
Food is not home cooked contrary to some other reviews, as one of the 'chefs'
told us we do not cook the food, it is brought in as we cannot cook for 60 residents. Staff openly call the manager names. Very unprofessional.
Care staff do not respond quick enough to residents who are on palliative care ringing their buzzer. I have witnessed with other residents as well as my own family member.

I was impressed as soon as I walked in to view Farnworth Care Home, I was struck by the cleanliness but also from the friendly welcome on reception. I had to find a place urgently for my brother and my sister in law. I was helped enormously by management, and all staff, they helped me through a very
stressful time. The care they have given my brother and his wife is wonderful, but also very approachable with visiting family. The family and I are so pleased we made the right choice with Farnworth care home.
