Always excellent, the carers are lovely. Room always clean and Mum seems happy. Altogether very satisfied.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. were so please you are very satisfied with the care we provide. Thank you for trusting us with Mums care, it really means a lot to the whole team.
My mum came to Kenyon Lodge 4 weeks ago after it was decided she could no longer live by herself. This was very upsetting for us as a family, but our minds have been put to rest seeing how happy she is. She has a lovely room, the food is outstanding, and the activities they provide and entertainment to keep them busy are amazing. I definitely chose the right home for my mum.
We're so pleased she's enjoying her new home, the food, and the activities. Thank you for trusting us with her care, it really means a lot to the whole team.
My Mother 103 years of age has been in Kenyon lodge of a couple of years now she has been very happy The staff are first class nothing is two much trouble the care she receives is first class
Thank you so much, Paul, for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. Your mum truly is an absolute diamond and a real pleasure to have with us, we feel very lucky to be part of her journey.
The rooms are nicely decorated with an ensuite toilet and sink. initially Dad didn't want to go into a care home but due to a problem at his home he had to go in for respite for what was only going to be 5 weeks but when we looked at the videos and photos that are put on the social media site and spoke to the managers and staff we could tell he was enjoying the company and the entertainment and was even joining in with crafts and singing. plus for his family we knew he was safe and well cared for - so he became a permanent resident. He enjoyed joining in and even played the banjo at one of the sessions.
Meals are served in a lovely bistro where residents can sit and chat whilst enjoying their meals. Every aspect of care is provided for and the staff are always welcoming and friendly making it a lovely experience for visiting family

My husband spent 6 months in Kenyon Lodge on end of life care. A very difficult time for all the family. However the care for my husband, myself and the wider family was excellent. All staff, reception, office, catering, laundry, activities, housekeeping, carers and nurses, provided exceptional care for us all. Care for my husband was always sensitive and respectful, any requests were immediately dealt with and I was kept fully informed at all times. As you enter the building you are met with a welcoming smile and are greeted by all staff as you walk along the corridor. If you want peace of mind knowing that your loved one will have the best care possible then Kenyon Lodge is the place to choose.
We're touched by your kind words about our team across all departments. Knowing that you felt welcomed, supported, and kept informed...
Our experience as a family has been a lot more than 5 stars and we would like to give enormous thanks to everyone at Kenyon Lodge for looking after my Dad so wonderfully. My Dad has spent the last few months of his life in peace and comfort in your amazing home. I would like to convey to all the nurses, carers and all staff, my deep appreciation for the attentive and loving care shown to him at all times. They also looked after me & my family at this hard and heartbreaking time supplying us with hot drinks & snacks as well as advice and continually communicating and keeping us updated. We have amazing relationships with all staff (too many to name), I am and will forever be more grateful than I can say.

All members of the team, from nursing, housekeeping, laundry, catering and administration were friendly, welcoming, supportive and professional, both to our aunt and ourselves. Any concerns by members of the team or my aunt/ourselves were acted upon and resolved quickly. Our aunt's room was always clean and welcoming with a lovely view outside. Appropriate equipment was used for our aunt's comfort and well-being. She was treated with dignity and respect at all times. As trained RGN's ourselves (40 years experience each) we felt our aunt's every need was met at Kenyon Lodge. We would like to thank everyone for the wonderful care.
Good afternoon - thank you so very much indeed for taking the time to review Kenyon Lodge and the care and support shown towards your Aunty. Please be assured I shall share your comments with all the staff.
Friendly staff, very clean. Looking after Mom very well, she has a dislocated hip, from surgery on it, and took 3 months in hospital to realise it was dislocated again. The staff are handling her with care.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the care and support provided by staff within Kenyon Lodge. Please be assured I will share this with them all and I am positive they will be delighted.
He loved every minute and will have no problem when he goes permanently everyone treated him lovely and he was so excited go out with staff, they all cared for him brilliantly, he enjoyed all the meals and drinks. Thank you all so much.
Thank you very much indeed indeed for the taking the time to write such a lovely review for Kenyon Lodge.
My mother has been a resident at Kenyon Lodge throughout 2025, and we have found the level of care to be excellent. All the team, from nurses, carers, catering staff and cleaners, have all been friendly and have looked after my mother exceptionally well. On the odd occasion when we have raised concerns, the management team have dealt with it quickly and professionally. We would have no hesitation in recommending Kenyon Lodge.
Thank you for taking the time to submit such a positive review of the care your Mother is receiving at Kenyon Lodge. Such kind words always uplift the staff team who work so hard to deliver quality care to all our residents.
Following a previous bad experience of respite care, we put my stepfather into Kenyon Lodge with some trepidation as it is very hard to judge a place from initial contact/visits. The CQC guide is outdated and worthless and essentially you are taking a leap of faith. However, everything went well, he enjoyed his stay and all the family who visited him whilst there said the staff were friendly, attentive and caring. When we picked him up staff and management were very good and my stepfather was in good health and spirits. We hope to be able to use the home again!!
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review and for your kind words, it was our pleasure to be entrusted to care for your stepfather and we look forward to him staying with us again in the future. Such positive feedback is always well received by the staff team who often go unrecognised for...
Mum moved to Kenyon Lodge on 3rd April 25 on end-of-life care. Mum was peg-fed and required full nursing care. The staff were warm, caring and compassionate in treatment of Mum, and also in supporting us as a family through this tough and upsetting time. We witnessed the care that was shown to other residents of the home, the wonderful patience shown by all staff and the warm and friendly atmosphere of the place.
Thank you for taking the time to submit such a positive review of the quality of care our staff always strive to deliver to all of our residents at Kenyon Lodge. Such positive and encouraging comments are always well received by our hardworking staff who are often under appreciated for their work. It was our pleasure to be entrusted with the care of your Mum.
Dad came to stay at Kenyon Lodge in Feb 2025 for end of life care. Sadly he passed this month (April). It was a big adjustment for dad who had always had independence and was used to living alone (and for rest of the family) but the staff really helped dad to settle. Particularly 5 members of staff who called me two days before dad passed to enable us to be with him right until the end and the carer who was with us in dad's last moments. Even the domestics (particularly 2 of them) and the Maintenance man would stop for chats with dad, talking about his hobbies and helping him feel more normal despite his illness. Any issues were picked up promptly and professionally by the deputy manager.
My stepdad was in Kenyon lodge on respite for his 60th birthday, he loved the staff and their attentiveness. He particularly liked a certain member of staff and enjoyed chatting with him. He enjoyed spending time with other residents, watching television and spending time outside on the warmer days. He was welcomed with a warm smile everyday and this really contributed to his happiness during his stay.
thank you so much for your kind words, this is very much appreciated by the staff team. It is always a pleasure for us too look after your stepdad.
Food is not home cooked contrary to some other reviews, as one of the 'chefs' told us we do not cook the food, it is brought in as we cannot cook for 60 residents. Staff openly call the manager names. Very unprofessional.
Care staff do not respond quick enough to residents who are on palliative care ringing their buzzer. I have witnessed with other residents as well as my own family member.
Thank you for taking the time to review your experience of Kenyon Lodge. Whilst It is very disappointing to read your comments, please be assured that Abbey Healthcare do take all feedback very seriously and as such a full review has been undertaken by ourselves and regulators and we are confident...
My parents moved into Kenyon Lodge during the pandemic and lived there for over three years until my father's death in November 2023. It is difficult to sum up in words the peace of mind I had whilst they were there, but I will try to convey in this review, my personal experience. The staff are caring, conscientious, and polite and do their upmost for the residents. Because I was permitted to be there beyond visiting times due to unique circumstances, I knew the staff continued with their dedicated work. In short, when you have a family member in KL, you become part of the KL family and together with the management and staff, you create the optimum atmosphere for your loved ones. When my mum passed away at the beginning of 2023, it was as though the staff had lost a member of their own family as they become so close to the residents. My dad continued to live at Kenyon Lodge after my mother's death and when he passed away, knowing that he was so well cared for, was a great comfort.
Thank you for your kind words, such positive feedback is much appreciated by the whole staff team, who always strive to deliver the highest quality care to our residents at all times. It was our pleasure to be entrusted with the care of your parents who are still very much missed by the staff.
Moving my dad for the 3rd time has been very difficult. I was nervous at first as I live close by and heard it had a poor reputation. Dad has been here for 6 months and he has no pressure sores which is unusual as he is bed-bound and had many before. He has a few baths more here and he has not sat in a chair in 3 years. I was amazed to see this and very thankful, he also gained weight which is positive.
Thank you for taking the time to send such a positive review, your comments will be much appreciated by the staff team who work hard to ensure that your dad receives the best care possible.
The standards of cleaning, care and continuous attention to detail is excellent and I am confident that my mum is very well cared for.
The dayrooms and dining rooms are clean, well-presented and well-used.
I particularly like the central garden areas where walkways and benches add real value and again, are well used by residents and visitors and a nice view out of bedroom windows.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review of Kenyon Care Home, of the care provided and the environment available for the residents and their loved ones to enjoy. We cannot wait to see the end result of the garden space once fully completed.
My dad moved into Kenyon Lodge in January 2024. When we viewed the home we immediately felt this was the right home for Dad. The staff are lovely, engaging, polite and make eye contact. The home-cooked food was also a plus. Since Dad moved here we have been happy with Dad's care. I have to date, no complaints.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a review, such positive feedback is always appreciated by the staff team who always strive to deliver the best quality care to your dad and all of our residents.
We are very happy with Dad's care in Kenyon Lodge. The staff are all lovely and so conscientious. The laundry lady goes above and beyond for both residents and their families, always with a beautiful smile. The nursing staff are engaging and have always answered any questions promptly.
Thank you for taking the time to review your experiences within Kenyon Lodge, it is always a pleasure to recognise the team and share your feedback.

Before joining Abbey Health Care, Emma worked for Salford Council as a dinner lady in a primary school, where her passion for caring for others first began.
She started at Kenyon Lodge 13 years ago in the kitchen and, over time, progressed through a variety of roles. Emma moved into housekeeping, became Head Housekeeper, and then took the next step into care as a Healthcare Assistant. She later trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, which led to further progression into roles including Unit Manager, Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager.
Along her journey, Emma achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma, continuing to develop her knowledge and skills.
