Kenyon Lodge Reviews (150)
Kenyon Lodge has a Review Score of 9.5 (9.536) out of 10, based on 16 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Kenyon Lodge has 150 reviews.
Bathroom, toilet seat has been broken for a few weeks. Reported but not fixed, mentioned at the meeting and was told it will be fixed Monday/Tuesday next week (13th/14th June)!
Staff are getting used to his personality etc, but he is always in clean clothes and shaven. Carers are all very friendly and helpful when I visit.
Thank you for your review, I hope that the transition continues to be smooth.
It is a bewildering time for my father and the staff at the home are adapting things to best care for him.
Thank you for this review - we hope we can help to settle your father and I am happy the staff are helping with this.
My dad settled well in the home. There were days when he didn't like it but overall he has been fine. The only thing I think is that his room could do with painting and the carpet cleaning, but that is down to him making a mess with biscuits.
Thank you very much for reviewing us. We promise to continue delivering excellent care to our clients.
The staff are friendly when we visit and keep me well informed about my grandfather.
Thank you very much for reviewing us, we will continue our high standard of care to our clients.
Updates from the nurses have been good and informative.
Rooms are clean and well kept.
I’m confident my nana is being looked after very well and is happy.
Thank you for this lovely review. We shall share the feedback with the team.
After contacting many homes, they all wanted to place my parents in separate units due to distinct separate needs. The manager at Kenyon Lodge was the only one who offered them the dignity of being able to go to bed and wake up in the same room. He offered this to me even before I requested it. They had one room as a sitting room and one as a bedroom. The most outstanding features of Kenyon Lodge include the superb attitude of management; the care that he extends to the residents; and the wonderfully kind and caring attitude of the nurses, care staff, administration and support staff. Very sadly, my mum passed away, but my dad remains at Kenyon Lodge. Whilst my mum was on end-of-life, the manager and his staff extended an extremely high level of practical and emotional support. I felt I was surrounded and supported by the Kenyon Lodge family. We all know that no place is like a person’s own home, but my parents received the highest quality care and I knew that they were safe, secure and well cared for.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review Judith. I personally know how well loved Mum and Dad have been at Kenyon Lodge and we thank you so much for your support.
Very pleasant visit. Very friendly and helpful - absolutely lovely decor.
I am so grateful for your review and we promise we will continue our high standard of care to our residents. Thanks.
My mum has been a resident for only a few months. The main concern is the lack of staff. The staff are good, but, I don't accept that due to the number of staff my mum was to stay in her bed for days on end. In order for Mum to be in better health, she needs to be out of bed, be sociable and interact with others. To reiterate, staff are good, just not enough of them, which is unacceptable.
Good, Dad likes it. He enjoys his food. The staff are very caring.
Excellent service, staff are very friendly. Uncle seems to be at home and gets on with everyone. As long as he's happy, we are.
Thanks again.
Staff very friendly to visitors, happy to explain care. Incredibly patient with patients, thank you. P.S. Please wash the tablecloths!
Thank you very much for your review. We will endeavour to improve our services.
Came to visit my relative. The process was extremely organised. The staff are always professional and friendly and my relative is clearly well cared for.
Much better now covid restrictions are more flexible and visiting is more flexible. The staff are excellent and devoted to my Dad.
Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the care provided at Kenyon Lodge. I had an issue about lack of communication between staff and myself on a couple of occasions when my mum was poorly. I addressed my concerns with staff and this has now been resolved satisfactorily.
Thank you for this review and thank you as well for bringing your issue to our attention so we were able to resolve it.
I find Kenyon Lodge pleasant and helpful. My friend likes living here which I'm happy with.
Thank you for your comments Francine. We will continue to aim to deliver the best care to your mother.
Due to the few times, I have been able to visit (Covid-19), I find the care and facilities very good.
Quite satisfied with the conditions at Kenyon Lodge. A lot of things are not consistent, eg meals; some days are really nice, a lot are poor quality and cold. Some days there doesn't seem to be enough carers. I do understand everything is hard in many ways, but certain standards should be maintained.
Very good at what they do and take pride in looking after the residents. 10/10.
Gulzar - Home Manager.
All the staff and management are extremely good and pleasant.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Gulzar - Home Manager.

Deputy Manager

Before joining Abbey Health Care, Emma worked for Salford Council as a dinner lady in a primary school, where her passion for caring for others first began.
She started at Kenyon Lodge 13 years ago in the kitchen and, over time, progressed through a variety of roles. Emma moved into housekeeping, became Head Housekeeper, and then took the next step into care as a Healthcare Assistant. She later trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner, which led to further progression into roles including Unit Manager, Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager.
Along her journey, Emma achieved her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 5 Diploma, continuing to develop her knowledge and skills. It has been a long journey, but one she is incredibly proud of. Emma is passionate about her work and finds it deeply rewarding to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents every day.
