We are very happy with Dad's care in Kenyon Lodge. The staff are all lovely and so conscientious. The laundry lady goes above and beyond for both residents and their families, always with a beautiful smile. The nursing staff are engaging and have always answered any questions promptly.

A lovely home with caring staff. All staff were amazing with my Dad, nothing was ever an issue and they went above and beyond, not only for Dad but for his family who visited him. They treated Dad with dignity in his last days. Would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of coming to Kenyon Lodge....

If in the future I had to go into a care home myself, this would be the place for me. I can't recommend the home as much as I am, it's wonderful.

My dad stayed here for respite from 16th to 26th June, during his stay he was treated with respect and compassion and his dignity was upheld throughout. My dad stayed here for respite from 16th to 26th June, during his stay he was treated with respect and compassion and his dignity was upheld throughout. He really involved himself with karaoke and the activity staff member took him to his much-loved bowling club in sweltering heat, he pushed my dad in a wheelchair to ensure he enjoyed his experience. Dad loved his room with a view of the bird feeder and gardens. Staff assisted him to feed the birds and were always on hand to help. Dad said he enjoyed the food most days, he hadn't eaten for 4 weeks before coming into respite, however, he ate everything whilst here. He commented on how peaceful the ground floor unit was and that his stay had indeed been a pleasurable one. He will be back in July. Thank-you to everyone involved in my dad's stay, you have made some lovely memories for him.

We had a number of issues with poor personal hygiene with our mother being left for hours with wet/soiled pads not being checked as per the care plan, clothing going missing, and being worn by other residents even though they clearly had been labeled.
I am sorry that on this occasion that Kenyon Lodge did not meet the standards of care which we strive for. We have compensated for the clothing and addressed all the issues with the staff in the hope of true lessons learned. We wish you all the best for the future.
Generally, all the staff have been very helpful one or two could be a little more accommodating when asking about problems regarding my mother's room. The home seems clean, tidy and a safe place for her.

Emma has given 12 years to Kenyon Lodge, starting in the kitchen and working her way through housekeeping, becoming Head Housekeeper, before moving into care as a Healthcare Assistant. She trained as a Care Home Assistant Practitioner and progressed through Unit Manager and Deputy Manager before becoming Home Manager. That journey means she understands the home from every angle: what makes a meal feel like a treat, what makes a room feel like home, and what makes a resident feel truly cared for.
Her passion for caring began even before she joined Abbey Healthcare, when she worked as a dinner lady for Salford Council and discovered how much a kind face and a little patience can mean to someone.
Emma holds her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care and is currently working towards her Level 5, continuing to build on years of hands-on experience with formal training. "It's been a long journey," she says, "but one I'm incredibly proud of."
