Kenyon Lodge care home provides professional care to residents in an environment which offers family members peace of mind about the care their loved ones are receiving.

The home has 30 rooms located on the ground floor and another 30 rooms on the 1st floor, all single occupancy with en-suite facilities. There are also private gardens with a patio area for residents to enjoy.

Kenyon Lodge provides nursing and residential care for residents who are in their senior years or have a physical disability.

The home has been victorious across multiple areas at the Great British Care Awards, winning the Social Care Covid Hero Award in November 2021 and March 2022, as well as being the regional winner for the Registered Manager in November 2021.

My dad stayed here for respite from 16th to 26th June, during his stay he was treated with respect and compassion and his dignity was upheld throughout. He really involved himself with karaoke and the activity staff member took him to his much-loved bowling club in sweltering heat, he pushed my dad
in a wheelchair to ensure he enjoyed his experience. Dad loved his room with a view of the bird feeder and gardens. Staff assisted him to feed the birds and were always on hand to help. Dad said he enjoyed the food most days, he hadn't eaten for 4 weeks before coming into respite, however, he ate everything whilst here. He commented on how peaceful the ground floor unit was and that his stay had indeed been a pleasurable one. He will be back in July. Thank-you to everyone involved in my dad's stay, you have made some lovely memories for him.

Seems nice enough. The resident seems in a better place. Would be nice if he could get out a bit more or go on regular trips out.

Excellent facilities and care staff, always someone to speak to if you need anything. The staff and manager are always friendly. Good balanced meals and excellent entertainment. We can relax knowing our family member is looked after and has friendly staff who help and support them.

Friend received excellent care and kindness. All staff, managers and nurses were so professional and approachable. The home was very clean and had good food. TV in room, radio and en-suite. She could not have asked for better care.

My mum was transferred to Kenyon Lodge from hospital earlier this year. The level of care and attention she has received from the staff is amazing. The home has lots of activities for the residents to enjoy. Along with regular entertainers attending theme days. The food prepared and served to everyone
looks delicious.

Kenyon Lodge is a very good, caring home. They look after my father very well. Since coming to the home from another home, his health, mentally and physically, has improved so much.
The staff are so helpful and caring and they do a great job.
The food is really nice as well as the coffee and tea.
Everyone us really helpful and we are happy.

My mother was admitted from the hospital to be assessed.
As a family, we found the majority of the staff very friendly.
We had a number of issues with poor personal hygiene with our mother being left for hours with wet/soiled pads not being checked as per the care plan, clothing going missing, and
being worn by other residents even though they clearly had been labeled.

As Dad has only been at Kenyon Lodge a short time and is still under review, I feel his care is very good.
Staff are getting used to his personality etc, but he is always in clean clothes and shaven. Carers are all very friendly and helpful when I visit.

Staff are trying to get to know my father during his assessment. By trying to understand his needs and help him settle into the home. They are being patient and understanding of his frustration and confusion and looking at ways of doing the best to care for him.
It is a bewildering time for my father
and the staff at the home are adapting things to best care for him.

All the staff are fabulous at Kenyon Lodge. They know all about their resident's needs and care for them with the utmost respect and kindness.

My dad settled well in the home. There were days when he didn't like it but overall he has been fine. The only thing I think is that his room could do with painting and the carpet cleaning, but that is down to him making a mess with biscuits.

After contacting many homes, they all wanted to place my parents in separate units due to distinct separate needs. The manager at Kenyon Lodge was the only one who offered them the dignity of being able to go to bed and wake up in the same room. He offered this to me even before I requested it. They
had one room as a sitting room and one as a bedroom. The most outstanding features of Kenyon Lodge include the superb attitude of management; the care that he extends to the residents; and the wonderfully kind and caring attitude of the nurses, care staff, administration and support staff. Very sadly, my mum passed away, but my dad remains at Kenyon Lodge. Whilst my mum was on end-of-life, the manager and his staff extended an extremely high level of practical and emotional support. I felt I was surrounded and supported by the Kenyon Lodge family. We all know that no place is like a person’s own home, but my parents received the highest quality care and I knew that they were safe, secure and well cared for.

My mum has been a resident for only a few months. The main concern is the lack of staff. The staff are good, but, I don't accept that due to the number of staff my mum was to stay in her bed for days on end. In order for Mum to be in better health, she needs to be out of bed, be sociable and interact
with others. To reiterate, staff are good, just not enough of them, which is unacceptable.
