Hutton Park

Not having been created for care home purposes the property is not ideal in design and layout but the new purpose-built home is about to be constructed at the south end of the town should give staff, residents and visitors a massive lift.

My dad entered Hutton Park In May, we were very concerned that he would find it hard as he is a very private man. He surprised us as he settled in brilliantly, the staff are so friendly, and he has mixed well, going into the lounge and joining in activities. He has been eating food that he would not have normally, which is brilliant. Nothing is too much for the staff, if we ask, we get. We have just attended a jubilee garden party which was outstanding; they could not have done any more for us, excellent day

Excellent home in a beautiful location. The level of care my Mum receives is awesome. Lots of activities and nothing is too much trouble. Visitors are always made welcome and staff are eager to help in any way they can.

Excellent staff always going the extra mile to help everyone. Brilliant level of care and meals are lovely looking. Management very supportive and activities very well organised. Home is located in a great area so close to the seafront. Can’t praise staff well enough always going above and beyond for relatives and residents.

My mother transferred to Hutton Park from the hospital after the initial assessment was completed. The home was the 1st on our preferred list of suitable options. The staff and management have been extremely helpful with settling my mother into the 24/7 care environment and supporting requests submitted where possible. My mother is enjoying her stay and looking forward to getting more frequent visits and hopefully some outings soon.

My husband and I are so happy that his mum and my mother-in-law has settled into Hutton Park care home.

The home is in a wonderful location, so Mum has fantastic views looking out. There is plenty to watch from her window, but it appears she does not have much time to sit and watch, as the wonderful staff have a full schedule of afternoon tea, Spanish lessons, baking, mocktail evenings and bowling. All these events carry on despite additional pressure on the staff during COVID restrictions. The staff have made a tremendous effort to make Mum welcome, settle in, and it is much appreciated.

It is always difficult choosing a care home for a loved one, especially in these strange COVID times. I am so glad that Hutton Park was the one I chose for my mother earlier this year. It is a very well equipped and comfortable home and, more importantly, the staff are amazing. My mother had not been a resident for long when she suffered a stroke, which severely impeded her movement and speech. However, all the staff constantly do everything they can to see that she is comfortable and well cared for. It truly is a home from home.

My relative who has been there for the past 10 years has been treated with the highest respect and dignity. She has been extremely happy and content.

The home is very clean, well maintained and provides a secure and friendly environment.

My father has received an excellent standard of care especially during the current pandemic. The COVID control measures have been fastidiously enacted and observed. The communication from the management team has been regular and very informative. My father feels very safe and cared for by all staff who go above and beyond. The management have made great improvements over the last year but particularly during the pandemic. My father’s personal and medical needs are met and any interventions required are met. Enabling covid secure outdoor visits have worked very well and the decisions to occasionally suspend or rearrange these visits are a welcome strong foresight and forward planning of the team. The home went into lockdown and stopped visits as the care home guidance was being issued and they continue to monitor and preempt what is occurring in wider society which must be commended. I and my mum are so grateful for my father’s care and support of our family.

My sister is very happy and contented at Hutton Park. They are an excellent bunch of staff. Well done to everyone there!

My mother moved to Hutton Park in November 2019. Thanks to the warm welcome and care of all staff members she settled quickly. The Home is in a lovely location and my mother really appreciates the seaside views. I have been impressed with the general standard of management and good levels of communication, particularly during the difficult COVID pandemic period. However, most outstanding has been the genuine level of care and attention my mother receives from staff on a daily basis. She is treated with a level of warmth and respect which makes me very glad we found Hutton Park at this time. The celebration of my mother’s 90th birthday in February this year was a high point. Along with two other residents who also had birthdays we had a great day, thanks to all involved.

My mother went straight from hospital where she had unfortunately been for 9 weeks in February to Hutton Park. Mum was a little traumatised by the hospital and had been a bit fearful of going to Hutton Park. There are not enough good words to say about the staff and management there. Mum has a fabulous room overlooking the sea. When lockdown happened it was all very stressful and it was 4 months before I was able to see her again. I found a healthy, happy and lovely looking mother when I saw her again. She is so well cared for and I am so appreciative of everyone keeping her safe. I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Hutton Park for any other loved one unable to live on their own.

Extremely happy with the care provided particularly during Covid-19 period. Friendly and committed staff who treat the residents with respect. Good communication with residents' relatives. Comfortable surroundings, good food and plenty of activities/entertainment on offer.

My mother aged 101 moved into the care home in Feb. Settled well with excellent support from staff. The care home is well managed and all staff professional and attentive to her needs. Ongoing calls and video links set up to support communication with my mother during the very difficult virus period. Very strict policies at this time seem to be working well. Mum appears happy and settled into her new home. No issues.

The staff are the biggest asset in this care home. They do a remarkable job and go above and beyond. I can see the new management team have really raised the bar in terms of processes and procedures and this is evident in the communication as well as day to day running of the home.

Lovely home, excellent food, very nice rooms. Care staff, activity coordinator, admin team, chef, laundry and domestic staff are working very hard to meet residents' needs in a very professional way. Well done Hutton Park!
