Overall Experience
My family and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone at Forrester Court for the exceptional care, kindness and compassion shown to my dad.
Whenever I visit him, I always ask if he is happy and whether he likes the staff. His answer is always the same: he tells me he is very happy, that everyone is so kind, and that the staff look after him extremely well. As his daughter, hearing this gives me enormous comfort and reassurance.
Every member of the team plays an important part in my dad's wellbeing. From the carers and nurses to the catering, housekeeping and all the support staff, everyone treats him with dignity, respect and genuine warmth. It is clear that they work together as a caring, professional team, and their dedication never goes unnoticed.
Knowing that my dad is safe, happy and well cared for means the world to my family. We truly appreciate everything the staff do each day.

Thank you to every member of the Forrester Court Team.

Fantastic staff, they go above and beyond for the resident's. My Uncle has been here since 2021. He was a difficult person but they all got to know him, and to help him settle in. No he is much loved by all.. The staff from the managers and care workers are just so caring. He makes them laugh by the way he gets their attention... I highly recommend this care home..

Overall Experience
Since my father moved into Forrester Court, I have seen a significant improvement in his overall health, wellbeing and stability. The environment seems to suit him very well and he has settled far better than I expected, especially considering his cognitive difficulties. This is the most settled, calm, and safe I have seen him in a long time.
The routine, structure and consistency have clearly helped him. He appears more relaxed, engaged and less confused. Staff have been supportive and patient with him and it is reassuring to know that he has people around him who understand his needs and respond appropriately.
Forrester Court has provided the stability he could not achieve at home. The improvements in his behaviour, mood and daily functioning show that this setting is meeting his needs in a way that feels safe and consistent.
I appreciate the efforts of the team and I am grateful for the positive impact this placement has had on him.

Thankyou to everyone at Forrester Court.

Overall, the staff of Forester Court are very warm and friendly, and it is reflected in the care they give to the residents. Each time I visit my mother, I can see that she is well cared for. I am also impressed that my mother's hygiene is good, even though the staff are always on the go.

Overall Experience

My mother was transferred from hospital to Forrester Court following a severe stroke, which left her immobile ,with Apraxia and sadly, with a range of hospital acquired infections and a hospital acquired Category 3 bedsore. The admission to Forrester Court was 'seamless' and the whole team made my mother and me feel welcome, safe and comfortable. Although she was only there for a short time, during her stay my mother was cared for by a wonderful group of people, the carers, nurses, the palliative care team, housekeeping and catering staff, as well as everyone in 'admin' and she was treated with dignity and respect, and I can truly say, with love. Furthermore, all the staff at Forrester Court extended their compassion and care to me at a difficult time. I could see this compassion extended to all the residents and their relatives. As much as I shall miss my mother, I have to say, I shall also miss everyone at Forrester Court too.

Everyone from the management team right down to the unit that my aunty is in, is absolutely superb in every way. The care that my aunty receives is absolutely brilliant in every way. I always get updates as to how my aunty is via phone call or by message. When we visit my aunty, we find the whole staff and nursing team that look after my aunty, professional, curteous, kind, flexible, warm, compassionate and understanding in every way. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they talk to you on first name terms which makes you feel like part of the care home. All the staff are hard working, dedicated and very kind and caring. The care home manager leads a very caring, hard working and compassionate team and when we leave after visiting my aunty, we feel a sense of peace of mind that she is so well looked after.

I was taken aback when the nurse took me into my partner's room as he just said to her "Who is that?" He didn't recognise me at all. Seeing my reaction to being ignored, the nurse explained that his reaction would change as I visited more often and he would recognise who was - I had been his partner since 1968. I visited him as often as I could and saw how he was taken care of by the staff there. And he began to enjoy the meals provided each day. He had his own room with a TV set and photos of his on-stage work and his Gown Shop in Knightsbridge.

a. Thank you for letting the carers assist me in walking as walking is the best exercise which is part of my rehabilitation program. Please give them more shifts and working hours to them.

b. You need more staff for the care and support to achieve satisfactory and good care for your residents. We have to wait for a long time for help or care because of the lack of staff in each unit. We need two members of staff for each resident. I will be happier if the manager would listen.

Ionela Savulescu
Ionela SavulescuJob Title:Home Manager

As home manager, my role is to ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of everyone here at Forrester Court. For residents, this means enabling them to express their wishes and choices that lead to fulfilling lives. For colleagues, it also means providing a positive and supportive working environment where they feel appreciated and empowered to do their best work.

I have a nursing degree and feel proud of my professional growth. It’s one of the reasons why I joined Care UK, as it is an organisation that provides opportunities for development and appreciates the real value of care. I am also immensely thankful for having supportive managers who have helped me reach this point.

As with all caring roles, you need to be trustworthy, honest and reliable. It also helps to have the courage to be innovative and be open minded to change. We are in a privileged position where we can positively impact people’s health and wellbeing, and I feel proud that families trust us to care for their loved ones.

In my spare time I’m a keen traveller.
