An amazing place, everyone is kind and caring. Lovely atmosphere and the food is fantastic. We were so worried about Mum going into a home but we could not have wished for a nicer place for her. It is such a shame that the pandemic has meant residents cannot socialise and do activities as before.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are glad that you are happy. We are now introducing some more activities through our visiting room which your mum has taken part in and hope that we can keep progressing this until we are out of pandemic restrictions.
My mum came to Henry Nihill House from another care home, so I think I can say with respect and honesty how amazing this home is. I’m not one for leaving reviews, but I feel I have to express my gratitude for the care they are giving my mum and only wish my mum had come here sooner. Having to watch my mum fade away to dementia is probably one of the most heartbreaking things I had to endure up to now. To watch with amazement the care and love they give to my mum in her final weeks or months lift my heart. My mum's needs are quite complex, and her behaviour can be quite challenging, but they treat her as if she is one of their family members, which is all you can ask for. The staff show such compassion, which is absolutely amazing and have picked me up when the sadness has been too much to bear. A truly calm, loving, caring, and the most important factor I feel a safe environment for anyone’s loved ones.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. I will pass your feedback on to the team.
My mother-in-law entered the home in extremely poor condition. When she decided for personal reasons to move on, she was almost back to her former self. We were very pleased with the care and attention she has received.
Thank you for your feedback. We are happy that your mother-in-law has recovered so well, and we wish her all the best.
Mum went into the nursing home at the height of Covid with all the restrictions and difficulties it entailed, but the home still managed restricted visiting using the "pod" and kept the family updated at all times. This was a vital lifeline that I know other homes did not offer. Mum has particularly appreciated the spiritual side and the opportunity to attend services in the chapel, which is another special feature of Henry Nihill.
Thank you for your feedback; it is much appreciated.
My mum was very happy living in this amazing care home where every member of staff was so lovely to my mum. She thought of some of them as family and everyone was so amazing in her last few days of her life, I couldn't have asked for more. I have two sons who now miss going to see everyone, as they would make them feel so special.
Thank you very much for your review, we do appreciate it.
I really couldn't be happier with the care provided for my friend who was a resident here for a number of years. It was his home, not an institution. He was well looked after in clean, safe and happy surroundings by staff who were friendly and positive. The convent added a strong spiritual layer of care that enriched and supported his life to the end. I felt happy that I could entrust his care to these people knowing that they would always do their best for him, listen to him, anticipate his needs and support him with dignity.
Thank you for your review, we really do appreciate your feedback.
My dad was here for over two years until his death in April and as a family, we could not have been happier with the care he received. He was always treated with dignity, respect, empathy and compassion. We were virtually daily visitors so saw the home continuously over two years and standards were always maintained. The food was excellent, perfectly tailored to an older palate, and there was always music at mealtimes which made them a very happy occasion. The entertainment was great - they have a dedicated member of the team who does this and makes all the high days and holidays very special. The staff are amazing, they became an extended part of our family and when we were unable to visit dad in his last few weeks we had the comfort of knowing he was with people who really cared for him.
Thank you very much for your review, we really appreciate your feedback. We do miss your visits to us and we're glad to have been able to care for your Dad.
The wonderful staff are so very dedicated, kind and helpful. My mother received excellent care at all times. And I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the home for all of their efforts. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you very much for your feedback, we appreciate you taking the time to do this. We were glad to be able to care for your Mum.
My mum has been at Henry Nilhill House for a year. From day one, I was impressed with how friendly everyone is whilst maintaining professionalism. The care Mum receives is consistent and of high quality. The COVID 19 situation has been managed well, which is very reassuring.
Thank you for your review, we really appreciate your feedback and we will continue to do our best to support your Mum.
