My mum seems so happy since she has been here. She is a different person. The staff are so polite and friendly. I spent my mum's birthday with her at the home and it was a lovely experience, very accommodating. Lovely atmosphere.

I've always found the staff at St John's Nursing Home to be both helpful and pleasant. There are always many activities and they do their best to include and stimulate all residents as best they can. They are hard working and are very caring and putting others before themselves. I do find at times that
they could do with the odd extra staff but overall I am very satisfied with the care my mother receives here.

Friendly welcoming first visit and each thereafter. Plenty of facilities and activities. My mother appears happy and content. She gets along with the staff very well. The care and welfare appear upper most in the staff's minds and this is shown in the care administered. The home is large and warm and
inviting and the residents seem content and happy.

My mother has been a resident for over a year. The quality of care at St Johns is of the highest standard. All the staff are caring, kind and patient with the residents. It's a beautiful building and the rooms are always spotlessly clean and tidy. I know my mum is very happy here and so am I knowing
she is having the best possible care.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.232)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.232) out of 10 for St John's Nursing Home Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.512 for St John's Nursing Home Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (24 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 43 Ratings = 4.512
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.72 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St John's Nursing Home Ltd is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 registered maximum number of service users is 11.6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.6 = 0.345
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My Italian roots and passion for good food have guided me from a young age towards the world of catering. After completing a five-year course of study at catering school, I decided to embark on an international experience in London, a city I considered essential for honing my skills and becoming a top-level chef.
The years spent in London gourmet restaurants allowed me to acquire a solid technical foundation and a deep knowledge of international culinary trends. However, it was the almost accidental encounter with catering in care homes that marked a turning point in my career. The joy and gratitude of the residents after a well-prepared meal offered me unparalleled satisfaction, prompting me to dedicate myself to this sector.
For about eight years, I have held the role of Head Chef at various private healthcare companies, where I am committed to offering a quality culinary experience, attentive to the needs and tastes of the guests. I am a curious and creative cook, who loves to experiment and transform ingredients into unique dishes, like a painter who uses colors to create a work of art. My attention to detail and meticulousness allow me to take care of every aspect of the preparation, leaving nothing to chance. I love working in a team and creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
My determination and passion for catering have driven me to return to my studies, enrolling in a degree course in Hotel & Business Management. My goal is to expand my skills and become a successful Food & Beverage Manager, able to combine my culinary experience with a solid knowledge of the hospitality sector.
