Wonderful, caring, friendly, efficient and welcoming nursing home. Dad's nursing care needs have changed in recent months with a number of hospital visits, and each time there is a change this is adapted to with no problem, and he is always welcomed back from hospital warmly. The staff are always caring, polite and compassionate to residents; and welcoming to visitors.
The rooms and facilities are very comfortable and well maintained, Dad has his own paintings up in his room which makes it feel more homely for him.

The food is wonderful (Dad's words), and the programme of activities is excellent and varied.

Thank you for such a lovely review. He always bounces back when he has a setback and greets us with a smile each morning. He's a delight to support and such a happy person even when he's not feeling well.

My mum-in-law has been at Parkfield House Nursing Home for many years now, we feel her care has been very good and do not worry about any aspect of her care. There does not appear to be a high turnover of staff which is reassuring. Food always looked excellent when we accompanied Mum into the dining room, all areas are clean and nicely decorated. Very expensive though since we lost Mum's funding. Would recommend though.

Our Mum, who has dementia, took a fall back in August 2021. We were lucky to find such a marvellous Nursing Home back in October 2021 and we are still glad of the decision we made to place her at Parkfield. All the staff are so friendly and caring and you can tell they really bond with the residents. The standards are excellent and we, as a family, felt comfortable with Parkfield as soon as we walked in - there is a homely atmosphere there and you just know that your family member is at the centre of everything that the staff do for them. A massive feeling of reassurance for us.

After a fall, our elderly mother was unable to live alone in her flat any longer, as she would have preferred. We were very fortunate to find a nursing home as good as Parkfield House to provide the care and attention that she now needs. The management is responsive, and in particular, I have been impressed by the steps taken to protect residents and staff from Covid. The senior nursing staff are very professional and humane and they communicate well. The carers show great kindness in a demanding job. The social activities for the residents are excellent, they really bring the home to life. Our mother is gradually adapting to this big change in her life. For us in the family, it is reassuring to know that she is receiving all the care she needs and so much kindness in her new environment.

My Mum became a resident of Parkfield House in December 2019 and was very impressed with the staff both admin and carers. When the pandemic hit I was very impressed with the home's reaction during this very difficult time. Therefore, I would have no hesitation in recommending Parkfield House to family and friends.

We cannot express how grateful we are to the staff at Parkfield House for the loving care they gave our mum during her two years there. The professionalism and commitment shown by the manager and the nurses when she first arrived (being much more ill than we had realized) was the sole reason for her amazing recovery. This standard of care continued throughout her time there. When the family were not allowed to visit during covid, the staff ensured we received daily Skype calls with our mum, a lifeline for us, as was the knowledge that they had become her family and that she loved them as much as they loved her. Every resident at Parkfield House is treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. That compassion was extended to my family when our mum was receiving end-of-life, ensuring her final journey was peaceful, pain-free and dignified and that she was surrounded by her family. To all the staff at Parkfield House, we can never thank you enough for everything you did for her.

I found the care home to be very clean, the staff very efficient and friendly. It had a very impressive facade with beautiful gardens to enjoy. Review from Pauline M (Sister of Resident) published on 10 May 2021 Submitted via Website

My older sister spent the last 5 months at Parkfield House. Sadly she passed away recently, but the staff were so professional, understanding and most of all caring. I cannot fault her treatment and would like to thank every one of them for making a very sad time, bearable. And for also making time to make sure I was coping and taking care of myself. From the lovely lady who does the laundry, the domestics, office staff, HCAs and nurses - a very caring team, who are constantly busy and being buzzed by residents endlessly. But they still smile and continue to do their job with the utmost professionalism. Thank you all again.

Reply from Iulia Balanici, Clinical Manager at Parkfield House Nursing Home

Thank you for your positive and heartfelt review. We are pleased that you felt our whole team looked after your late sister with understanding, compassion and cheerfulness. She is much missed at the home and we are, of course, all very sorry for your loss. We would like to wish you and your family the very best for the future.

The home, set in an old Manor house, has a quality of care to match the congeniality of the physical surroundings. My aunt has become more secure and happier in herself since arriving at Parkfield. The core care services are all in place and appear to be managed with competence and discretion. Similarly, communications to me are always pertinent and sufficient.

Although we have not been able to visit our auntie during this time, we have received telephone updates and also a Skype conference call with her.
She really enjoyed speaking and seeing members of her family, this was the first time she had used any form of technology apart from a normal landline and she loved it.
Although we cannot visit, we know from our normal visits that she is in very good hands and is being well looked after.

The staff always go that extra step to make her happy and content.
