Parkfield House Nursing Home is an attractive and comfortable nursing home in the quiet, but easily accessible residential area of Hillingdon in West London.

This elegant and listed 39-room home has been carefully refurbished and converted into delightful accommodation while retaining some original features. The bedrooms are spread over three floors. They vary in size and shape depending on where they are in the house, and each has its own character. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with pictures, family photographs, mementos and favourite items of furniture.

Each room is equipped with an ensuite toilet and washroom as well as a TV, nurse-call system and an adjustable automatic bed. The rooms are well-ventilated with controllable under-floor heating so that the temperature is just right for the resident.

There is lift access to all floors, and both the home and garden are fully wheelchair accessible. The spacious lounges are comfortably furnished and equipped with TVs, games and books. The and dedicated hair salon provides on-site hairdressing services and is popular with residents.

Nursing and care staff are available 24/7 on each floor, supported by dedicated teams of kitchen, activities, facilities and housekeeping staff. They provide person-centred nursing, palliative and dementia care, as well as short-term care for those who need some looking after following a stay in hospital or their carers and families are temporarily unable to care for them.

The large garden offers plenty of comfortable seating spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy on warm days, while the secure keypad access in and out is reassuring for residents and their relatives.

I found staff very helpful and pleasant. They have also assisted in my everyday care. I would have liked to have achieved more mobility and been able to benefit from some of the activities.

We cannot express how grateful we are to the staff at Parkfield House for the loving care they gave our mum during her two years there. The professionalism and commitment shown by the manager and the nurses when she first arrived (being much more ill than we had realized) was the sole reason for her
amazing recovery. This standard of care continued throughout her time there. When the family were not allowed to visit during covid, the staff ensured we received daily Skype calls with our mum, a lifeline for us, as was the knowledge that they had become her family and that she loved them as much as they loved her. Every resident at Parkfield House is treated with kindness, compassion and dignity. That compassion was extended to my family when our mum was receiving end-of-life, ensuring her final journey was peaceful, pain-free and dignified and that she was surrounded by her family. To all the staff at Parkfield House, we can never thank you enough for everything you did for her.

Since my mum arrived at this home from the last home, she has vastly improved in health and wellbeing. She's been well looked after here and when we visit her the staff are all so friendly and helpful. This is the best place we could have wished for her.

I found the care home to be very clean, the staff very efficient and friendly. It had a very impressive facade with beautiful gardens to enjoy. There were several activities on offer for residents and you are given a choice of either joining in or staying in your room! I would recommend it to anyone
who is looking for care.

My mother has been at Parkfield House Nursing Home for 5 years, in that time she has been well cared for. The staff are very caring and my mother responds well to them. There is always a happy atmosphere and the home always smells clean. During covid, we have not had to worry about how mum is, because
we know she is being well looked after and in the best place.

My older sister spent the last 5 months at Parkfield House. Sadly she passed away recently, but the staff were so professional, understanding and most of all caring. I cannot fault her treatment and would like to thank every one of them for making a very sad time, bearable. And for also making time
to make sure I was coping and taking care of myself. From the lovely lady who does the laundry, the domestics, office staff, HCAs and nurses - a very caring team, who are constantly busy and being buzzed by residents endlessly. But they still smile and continue to do their job with the utmost professionalism. Thank you all again.

The home, set in an old Manor house, has a quality of care to match the congeniality of the physical surroundings. My aunt has become more secure and happier in herself since arriving at Parkfield. The core care services are all in place and appear to be managed with competence and discretion. Similarly,

Although we have not been able to visit our auntie during this time, we have received telephone updates and also a Skype conference call with her.
She really enjoyed speaking and seeing members of her family, this was the first time she had used any form of technology apart from a normal landline and
she loved it.
Although we cannot visit, we know from our normal visits that she is in very good hands and is being well looked after.
The staff always go that extra step to make her happy and content.

As a family, we are all extremely happy with the difficult decision of finding a nursing home for our dad. He receives daily care from the caring staff and is often encouraged to participate in organised activities. We feel that, at Parkfield, he is safe, well-fed and happy.

Very friendly and caring staff. Juggling lots of caring duties as part of their job but do so with a smile. Plenty of activities going on to keep the residents occupied. Food is very good. Grounds lovely and surroundings.

Following 3 years of frequent admissions to hospital with recurrent falls, a decline in cognition and diagnosis of Dementia with Lewy Body, with a heavy heart our family made the decision that mum needed to be placed in a care home.


Mum came to Parkfield on 05/11/2018. Since then she has been well

cared for by friendly, dedicated and caring staff. The staff at Parkfield take time to really get to know the residents and that is so important for their well-being.


I know that mum is in the best place she could possibly be and I know the rest of the family feel the same. The manager and her team run a tight but friendly ship and long may it continue!

Having supported my mum in her home up until the devastating news of her terminal illness, the thought of my mum going into a nursing home was both overwhelming and frightening for both of us but the support given by all the staff has made a difficult time for me more bearable.
