Parkfield House Nursing Home

Well done all at Parkfield, you stepped in to help us at what was quite a challenging time for our mother with a long hospital stay.

Palliative Care training for staff is lacking, especially for agency staff, leading to patients dying without dignity and respect. You have to fight to ensure your loved ones receive the care they deserve. Communication between staff is poor and handover extremely lacking.

My Mum Wilhelmina received just over 2 weeks palliative care before passing away yesterday afternoon surrounded by her family and cradled in love.

We were given all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. There was no rush and real compassion shown by the staff. We truly appreciate each and every one of them for the role they played in my Mums end of life care.

The carers, nurses, administrative staff and the director of Parkfield are exceptional.

I was a temporary resident in Parkfield House Nursing Home for 9 weeks. I had a bright, nicely decorated room which was always kept clean and warm. The chef provided very tasty, varied meals. There were several carers on my floor who were attentive and helpful, quick to answer call buttons. As I was bedridden following my accident ,I wasn't able to take part in the activities, however my wife said she saw many residents sat outside around the tables doing crafts on warm days. The professional nurses who looked after my medical needs were always around and quick to notice when things needed doing. A very happy place to be in.

The facilities were excellent and always clean. We were always greeted so friendly in reception. Thank you so much to everyone.

I can't express enough how kind caring and respectful these wonderful people were towards my beautiful father in the last chapter of his life. Everybody without exception were wonderful and I can't thank them enough.

This is by far the nicest care home I have ever experienced. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. The staff are not only lovely and friendly but also genuinely caring and attentive to every resident's needs. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels comfortable, valued, and respected. The food always looks delicious, well-presented, and varied, with something to suit everyone's tastes. It's clear a lot of thought goes into mealtimes. There's also a wonderful range of activities on offer, keeping residents engaged, entertained, and socially connected. Overall, it's a place full of kindness, compassion, and community spirit, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding care.

My dad has now been in Parkfield nursing home now since January, I find the care , staff excellent, friendly, caring and helpful, they keep me posted all the time with any changes to my dads health, I would recommend this home to anyone, he is also happy and content there

There was a period of adjustment for her following her admission to Parkfield, eventually she settled well and spoke warmly about the staff there, often commenting on their patience. She also enjoyed some of the activities.

My Mum has been resident here since April, 2024. The home itself is presented beautifully, clean and comfortable and the rooms cater for everything my Mum needs. The staff are excellent, caring and kind. Varied menu. Activities vary from morning and afternoons. Overall very happy and have peace of mind Mum is being well looked after.

My Dad has been at Parkfield House Nursing home for over three years now. From the onset we have been very happy with how he is cared for. He is kept clean and has clean clothes every day. He has clean bedding daily and has a room to himself where he is allowed to make his own with photos and personal possessions. The staff are very kind and friendly to both residents and their families. Dad is happy, respected and stimulated with a range of daily activities. The dining area is pleasant and more like a restaurant with tablecloths and napkins. His diet is varied and of good quality. In the past Dad has enjoyed trips out to the farm and to Uxbridge for coffee and a tea dance, he hopes to go out again in the future. He enjoys having outside entertainment visiting the home especially the animals. We would highly recommend Parkfield House, we feel Dad is safe and well looked after.

My mum has been a resident at Parkfield House Nursing Home in Hillingdon for over a year, since March 2023. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The activities are great and they have taken Mum outside to animal sanctuaries coffee shops etc. They went out of their way to celebrate Mum's 93rd birthday and I have seen them organise celebrations and outside entertainment for all residents. Mum gets her hair and nails done regularly - has made friends. I can visit any time - I have no hesitation in highly recommending Parkfield.

Staff are always friendly when I visit, My mother has settled in well, and is enjoying her time there. She loves the activities and is always telling me about the things they have been up to. I could not hope for a better home for my mother.

Great activities help residents make friends, which is very important.

I would not have placed Mum in Parkfield House if I had not been happy with their levels of care. Throughout the pandemic, they kept me informed and my mum as safe as possible. They publish a list of activities every month which include garden parties weather permitting.

From the receptionist to the carers we have found all the staff to be friendly and helpful and compassionate. From our visit to see my brother when the staff had the residents out in the front garden with the visiting pet animals we knew he was in good hands. We have been there at various meal times and the food always looks delicious and arranged in such a way that he can help himself with dignity.

I'm amazed at how well they've got to know my mum in such a short time and the patience they've shown, as my mum who had been refusing her food before moving to Parkfield almost immediately began eating and drinking well. All this has given me the assurance I need, that mum is in good hands and receiving the best care. Mum has settled in well and her broad smiles demonstrate that she loves it. I cannot thank Parkfield House staff enough.
