Parkfield House Nursing Home is an attractive and comfortable nursing home in the quiet, but easily accessible residential area of Hillingdon in West London.

This elegant and listed 39-room home has been carefully refurbished and converted into delightful accommodation while retaining some original features. The bedrooms are spread over three floors. They vary in size and shape depending on where they are in the house, and each has its own character. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room with pictures, family photographs, mementos and favourite items of furniture.

Each room is equipped with an ensuite toilet and washroom as well as a TV, nurse-call system and an adjustable automatic bed. The rooms are well-ventilated with controllable under-floor heating so that the temperature is just right for the resident.

There is lift access to all floors, and both the home and garden are fully wheelchair accessible. The spacious lounges are comfortably furnished and equipped with TVs, games and books. The and dedicated hair salon provides on-site hairdressing services and is popular with residents.

Nursing and care staff are available 24/7 on each floor, supported by dedicated teams of kitchen, activities, facilities and housekeeping staff. They provide person-centred nursing, palliative and dementia care, as well as short-term care for those who need some looking after following a stay in hospital or their carers and families are temporarily unable to care for them.

The large garden offers plenty of comfortable seating spaces for residents and visitors to enjoy on warm days, while the secure keypad access in and out is reassuring for residents and their relatives.

I have found management and staff so very helpful. It's not easy to have to place your mother in a nursing home. Anything that I have asked for has been done. My mother is well looked after, when she needs new clothes or makeup I am told about it. I know that my mum is safe and cared for. I could even
say loved. Thank you. Was very sad to see we no longer have a bus. As a family, I know my mother enjoyed the outings or just a drive. We should have been consulted.

Having looked after my wife for 14 years, I now feel relieved that she is in friendly and caring hands and in such a safe environment. After transfer from hospital more than three weeks ago to become a resident here, her health and awareness have markedly improved. As we do look forward to further progress,
I currently feel happy to make almost daily visits to help, particularly with access to fresh air and sunshine in the lovely garden.

Home very clean and all carers and personnel extremely professional. Many activities if you want to participate. Choice of food menu. If need be, will make sandwiches, soup, a cup of tea etc. Everything fine to make my stay at home very comfortable.

I find the nursing home to be efficient at what they do. They have a lot of time for the residents. They are well provided for in attention, cleanliness, meals and their rooms are bright and clean. My father has resided in Parkfield House Nursing Home for almost 8 years now. I have seen a few changes in that time, whether improvements to the building/facilities or new faces amongst the staff, I always feel that my father is well looked after and attended to. I try to visit my father at least once
or twice every week and always feel welcomed by the friendly staff.

I have just moved in but the staff are not only friendly but very efficient and the food is very good and my room is to me as good, or better, than a hotel. At first I wasn't sure but this is a very good community.

My partner has been at Parkfield House for 2 years and is very happy and settled there. This is because of the human factor; the staff are friendly and cheerful and he feels at home. It is a very attractive and well run home with a welcoming and upbeat ethos. The food is well cooked and there is a varied
range of activities which my partner really enjoys. Before he went to Parkfield he was a resident in three other homes, all of them part of large care home groups, but in none of them did he receive the kind of sympathetic individual attention that is the norm at Parkfield. This is without any doubt the best home we have encountered and I feel he is safe and well looked after there.
