Purley View Nursing Home

Fair everything so far - I am alright, OK, so far everyone is good. The chef is good, morning, noon and night. Lea is very good, I call her Chantell - All OK.

The home is clean and smells fresh. All residents are clean and look well. My dad enjoys a lot of the food and tea and biscuits are given throughout the day. The staff are warm and welcoming and helpful. When I ask the management a question the enquiry is dealt with. I feel the activities are relevant for each of the residents. I am really impressed with the role of the activity staff - Lea really stands out with her care for all the residents - she shines with her smile and what she provides for the residents - the care she provides is excellence in actions.

My family has said this is a nice home. My dad is well cared for and can tell the staff his needs and they will provide for him. The staff and manager are all good.

My mum has been in Purley View for a while now and the care is spot on. On each visit mum is clean , tidy and comfortable with all her needs met. Mum is paralysed and is bed bound but I am pleased to say she has not had any bed sores to date , a sign of quality care and attention to detail by staff. The atmosphere is always caring , warm and friendly when visiting and they have a range of activities for the residents. The home and staff should be applauded for the care given and all they do.

Beyond the physical care, the atmosphere is what really sets Purley View apart. The staff are always smiling, and you can tell they genuinely care for the residents, not just as patients, but as people. I am incredibly grateful for the reassurance and support they have given our whole family. Thank you for making this such a positive experience.

My father was a resident of Purley View Nursing Home for about 7 weeks, from the beginning of November 2023 to late December, when he passed away. Unfortunately, Dad was bed-bound, so was not able to take advantage of the activities on offer at the home, but we found the staff to be kind and attentive, trying their best to make sure that he was comfortable and not in pain. We felt that Dad was safe and well cared for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Purley View Nursing Home.

I am Power of Attorney for a close friend at Purley View Nursing Home. I am so impressed with this home because there are so many staff to look after the residents and the activities are very good there. My friend has been here for several years now. Her skin is so much better than it was when she arrived. She is beautifully taken care of and she is much calmer now thanks to the excellent level of care the staff provide. The home has a lovely atmosphere, it is very clean and bright and the manager is excellent and a pleasure to talk to because he knows the residents well. I cannot recommend this home highly enough.

My mother had been a resident of Purley View Nursing Home from March '22 until she passed away in February '23. During this period, she was extremely well looked after by the nursing staff, who were so caring and loving towards her. The home itself is bright and clean, and the room Mum resided in was more than adequate, although Mum spent most of the day in the resident's lounge. Despite Mum having many issues with Epilepsy, Dementia and Alzheimer's, she was always cheerful when we visited her, and there were plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. In her final days, the care by the home's nursing staff and the hospice was so reassuring that she was well looked after and did not suffer. Thank you to all the staff who cared so much for Mum.

This nursing home gave amazing care. The patients were always clean and this stood out to us as a family. The staff were kind and treated residents like family. Nothing was ever too much for them. The home is being updated which is good but what we looked out for was the care our mum got and she certainly got that. A very clean home. Well done Purley View!

All residents are well cared for, plenty of fluids and loving staff.

Management, nursing staff and carers are all extremely helpful, kind and professional in the care they provide for mum. The food is very good and the chef and kitchen staff cater to every individual's taste and needs. Cleaning staff very thorough, warm and considerate.

I am very happy with my husband's care at Purley View. He is very well looked after by very caring staff. He is always happy when I speak to him and always looking forward to his meals which he enjoys very much. The family and myself can now visit him for 30 minutes outside and he really enjoyed seeing us again and he looked very well.

The food is really good quality and caters to the resident's needs. The home is always very clean. The outside area could do with updating.

I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at Purley View Nursing Home. She is well cared for and always clean. There is never any unpleasant smells in the home. The staff are extremely friendly to me when I visit and make sure that my mum is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this home to others.

It is a very well managed nursing home.

Our experience with Purley View has been very good and I doubt it is possible to get better care. The rooms and their decor could be improved (I understand this is in hand). The care of the residents is excellent. The manager is very approachable and knows and understands the needs of his residents. The nursing staff is excellent and the care staff very committed to their duties. Food is outstanding, prepared by a chef with long experience and he has been award two "outstanding awards". I was more than satisfied with the care my sister was given and would never have put her anywhere else.

My mother was a resident there for just over a year. The staff were kind, professional and attentive to her needs. They kept me well informed with regard to problems with her health. I was so grateful they were able to provide full nursing care meaning she was saved from many unnecessary trips to A&E when she was unwell. She had complex health issues as well as Alzheimer’s and they dealt with her very well. The food was excellent, home-cooked and she enjoyed it. For birthdays they always made a fuss of the resident with a birthday cake shared between everyone. They always made my family and I feel very welcome.

Staff have looked after my dad like he was their own. Residents are encouraged to socialise safely as many have reduced mobility like my dad. Excellent care from laundry to manager. I am telephoned regularly for any medication changes or issues with my dad - which I greatly appreciate as I am a 2-hour drive away. The family are included at every stage of Dad's care.
